The priest was waiting for the arrival of the princess, who was only an enemy of all of them.
For the priest, the golden princess was the one and only main heroine.
Everyone else was unworthy of his respect, no matter how strong they were.
Tsukihime 2 Prelude III
If Shiki is Roa XVI how do you guys think they're gonna handle it without making it just a redux of Ciel's character arc? Is it just going to be a wholesale rejection of the idea of atonement since Shiki isn't good at heart like Ciel is? Far Side's attitude towards murder is much more "Yeah it sucks but sometimes it happens" and I wonder if the changes and additions to Shiki's arc are gonna reflect that.
if SHIKI really did steal/plunder Roa out of Shiki right as he manifested, or even accidentally, before he manifested at all, would there be a moment to bring it up? outside of that one statement in Arc route where the Dying Roa tries to transfer into Shiki saying that they are connected before Ciel deals the finishing blow
Satsuki route/True Arc.For example SHIKI is killed and Roa returns to Shiki's body, but Satsuki turns into a vampire. And since Roa saw great potential in Satsuki as mini Arc you have VERY spicy situation where Shiki is in love with Satsuki, but it's so over,Roa is in control and needs Satsuki to show Arc very big middle finger. Also Arach is helping Satsuki because that is her kink to help the weak and since Satsuki is in love with Shiki it makes her even worse. Also bro Nero is on Roa's side,so we have really awesome team Shiki/Roa-Satsuki-Nero-Arach to show Arcueid that she is the worst girl in Tsuki.
SHIKI fits Roa's MO of choosing people who are innately powerful and/or who are from wealthy and well-connected families, I can't see there being a particular reason for him to want Shiki as a host.
It probably happened by mistake. Roa chooses hosts with divination, which would imply reading the future. So he identifies “a child named Shiki Tohno living in this mansion in the year of X” and the divination process gets confused. The fact their names are spelled the same in Roman characters could unironically be a plot point here, given Roa is using a western foundation.
Although, that sounds slightly comical when written out. I do think we’re missing a few pieces.
Character takes an L for not speaking Japanese, what did Nasu mean by this?

Through successive inbreeding, it's possible to pass these psychic abilities on to some extent, even if it's not possible to perfectly reproduce the ability possessed by the parent.
Shiki could be seen as an even further mutation, as he belongs to the Nanaya clan, who have passed along one of these mutations for generations.
(*The Nanayas’ special ability is not associated with ‘death’, but rather concerns ‘karma’. The reason this altered into ‘death’ in Shiki's case is because of his near-death experience)Not singularity like the FGO singularity but possibly means something super special like a whirlpool that pulls in the fate of others?"You look like you're in a real fix, chief."
"What's your game?"
"As overseer, I thought I'd give you some tips for staying alive." Hansa matter-of-factly addressed the chief, indifferent to Jester, who was hanging his head in silence. "You can't handle a Dead Apostle of his level unless you use specialized consecrated weapons... or you have a 'singularity' like mystic eyes or therianthropy, or else you're just that good a mage."
"..."
When using divination Roa is selecting the future
At the same time Shiki seems to have more karmic pull than SHIKI

addenum for why I am trying to link the description of mystic eyes as a singularity with how they influence the fate of othersOriginally Posted by adventures vol 7

Do they fuck this explanation up by thinking observer means a person looking at somethingOriginally Posted by Adventures vol 7 Comun summary
It's mentioned several times that having Mystic Eyes affects your fate in some way. I vaguely recall this is demonstrated most clearly with Ophelia; for example the moment she entered the Scandinavian Lostbelt, it became destined that Surt would break free and destroy the world, but I think it gets a mention in Case Files too, with how Trisha and Carabo's lives are directed and controlled by their Mystic Eyes.
or something like that

Oh yeah, the anime has Will's case too. His Fairy Eyes mean he's inexorably linked with Faye.
From her website it seems she isn't aware the remake VN is available in english. Or isn't acknowledging it because she doesn't wanna sit through it.
