Eh... I would consider "soulless" something that was just done to be a product and little else.
Considering how much passion and love both Takeuchi and Nasu clearly have for Tsukihime, I find such a consideration really unfitting, but oh well... I'm pretty sure no one on the Internet can agree on a definition for "soulless".

Can't really comment on that one... Have yet to see any of the apparently plentiful screenshots that have made their way online.
That said, considering what I've heard, "generic" is probably a more appropriate term rather than "soulless", but that's just me.

May as well never have gotten the remake at all. What is "soulless" about the designs? Preferences and opinions about some designs doesn't make it objectively "soulless", even less knowing what the people involved in doing it thought about it, thanks Famitsu QnA.
I don't like whatever Noeru became but it is definitely not a "soulless" design. A tad "unoriginal"? Sure. "Soulless"?. No.

Mhmm... I can see why people consider some of these designs very over the top. They're extremely "anime" when compared to Tsukihime's rather mundane setting.
