The latest public version of the Ultimate Edition patch is v1.1.4 and was released on April 11th, 2023.

- Aspect ratios other than 4:3 and 16:9 can show glitches in the effects. Stick to the two main aspect ratios for the best experience.
- Music Content "Classic" covers only select scenes (mainly Prologue day 1 and a few others).
- Movie subtitles are not working yet.
Development for the next update is ongoing.
What you need to get Ultimate Edition running:
- The three separate routes of the official PC Realta Nua releases which were released in 2012.
- The installer, which has the main purpose of merging the assets of these separate routes into one. It will not download any patches - that's your job.
- The patch files.
How to do a NEW INSTALL (only needed if you don't have an older installation already!):
- Visit mega dot nz /folder/DMsXCIoD#ubkrOC40vxEJDAslcnScow
- Download the installer: "Fate／stay night [Réalta Nua] Ultimate Edition Setup.exe"
- Run the installer (on Windows 8 or higher). It will ask you for the folder paths to the 3 official PC Realta Nua releases.
- Follow the steps below on "How to update from an older version of Ultimate Edition".
How to UPDATE from an older version of Ultimate Edition:
- Visit mega dot nz /folder/DMsXCIoD#ubkrOC40vxEJDAslcnScow
- Open the "Patches" subfolder there and download the xp3 patch files you want to use.
- Also download "Fate.exe" if it's newer than the one you got and grab the application icons (icon_FATE.ico, icon_HF.ico, icon_UBW.ico) as well, if they're missing from your game folder.
- Copy the downloaded files to the folder you installed the Ultimate Edition to. Have it overwrite existing files.
- Delete patch_decensor.xp3 if you have one - its contents are now integrated into patch_h.xp3.
- (Optional) You can also download the flowchart and readme files.
Which patch files should you choose?
- patch.xp3 - You ALWAYS need this. The game will not work without it.
- patch_lang_english.xp3 - Adds the option to switch to English text, instead of the original Japanese.
- patch_hd.xp3 - Adds the option to play at 1.6x resolution (1280x960) instead of the default 800x600.
- patch_hd_1600.xp3 - Adds the option to play at 2.0x resolution (1600x1200).
- patch_hd_1920.xp3 - Adds the option to play at 2.4x resolution (1920x1440).
- patch_hd_2400.xp3 - Adds the option to play at 3.0x resolution (2400x1800). Needs Fate64.exe.
- patch_hd_3200.xp3 - Adds the option to play at 4.0x resolution (3200x2400). Needs Fate64.exe.
- patch_h.xp3 - Adds the option to restore the ecchi/hentai content from the 18+ PC release from 2004, including demosaic choices.
- patch_op.xp3 - Adds the option to access Vita/mobile, PS2, and original 2004 PC opening movies in high resolution.
- patch_vita_ost.xp3 - Adds the option to use the remixed soundtracks from the Vita/mobile release.
You do NOT need to get all HD patch files. One will suffice. For most people, "patch_hd_1600.xp3" would be the recommended one. Don't bother with "patch_hd_3200.xp3" - we added it for completeness' sake, but it will not run smoothly on many systems and the image quality is arguably not higher than with the smaller patches.
(Optional) How do I know if I have the latest version of all the patch files?

Can I play the vn on android from sd card? I use android 12, and I did what I could find on internet (an Indonesian video and reddit post). I moved the folder to sdcard/Android/data/org.tvp.kirikiri2/files using Zarchiver

It just crashes. I have FSN on Sd card/Android/data/org.tvp.kirikiri2/files and FHA on a random place in sd card
Both doesn't work. There is no error message and it simply crashed
I once had them on internal storage and they worked just fine.
Unrelated but it's cool that Tsukihime Remake is playable on sd card

Hi, I have installed on my laptop but I am confused about the android installation part. So, I have to delete the .tjs files before moving to my phone? And what is the android folder? I don't see any.

2. I put the files like this. The savedata file is in the same folder, not document because this was for portable installation, with the english patch, h mod and OP patch still in docments. In case of normal installation, I just move the save file from documents to the same folder because I cannot install the ultimate patch without doing so
3. I was able to run the game without the ultimate patch.
4. I installed both ways successfully. I can play the game with no error so far.
I still cannot play it both on random place and in sd card/android/data/org.tvp.kirikiri2/files on sd card. I can probably play it on internal storage but there is not much space. So, I don't want to. Any idea?
Try plugging the SD card into your computer and running the game from there using your computer.Hi,

Also, try h2testw on the SD card.
If either of those fails, you should replace the SD card.

The patch has an option for "Rin's Chant Language". I'm new to the game, and I'm german!
Does this include everytime she uses a spell, or only specific instances?
These ones for example stay in german. Is this normal, or should they be in japanese?
For whatever reason, the original Realta Nua version (the PS2 release, not the earlier voice-less non-Realta Nua 2004 PC release) has one single scene where Rin chanted in Japanese instead of German.
For the later Japan-only digital-download PC Realta Nua release with separate routes (the version this "ultimate editon" patch uses as its basis), that single scene was re-recorded with Rin reciting the chant in German... except that, instead of chanting, it sounds like she's simply stating it like it's some ordinary sentence out of a text book which is very much the wrong tone for the scene.
Therefore it's highly recommended to leave the setting on its default of "Japanese", though I do wonder if maybe there's some way to better clarify that it's specifically referring to just a single scene and that it impacts quality as well?
At least with regards to quality, as a suggestion for the elusive 1.1.6(?) version, perhaps it could say "German (poor quality)" instead? While the current note of "Japanese (recommended)" sort of conveys the same idea, it doesn't really do much to clarify why Japanese is recommended, so I'd think it'd make more sense to reverse the notes by removing the note saying (recommended) for Japanese chant language and instead adding a note saying (poor quality) for German chant language.
Ah I see, that makes sense. Rin's german is killing me in general (this is some of the worst anime german I've seen period), but that's good to know. Thank you!
