Cause it's fucking based. Plus, it's supposed to be a standard name for a working class father, and Seu Madruga fits, being believable yet whimsical.

It is a localization thing actually. They wanted a name that sounded better in the Brazilian script.
It's based on our version of the saying "The early bird catches the worm." The joke is that he's nothing like it.
Tem is right though, it does sound both whimsical and believable. It was a pretty good choice.
