Yeah, Kongou tends to be fun in her own way, for Kancolle. Putting in names where necessary, and fixing grammar is a thing, too. You can sort of tell that I hadn't decided on how many people would be necessary as actual characters, rather than "assholes to possibly be dealt with off-screen", in the first run through. As for skewed? That's fine. You're replying, and making commentary as well, so I don't mind one bit.
Nyarlathotep's... very much hard to get down, for how Lovecraft's extended works portray him. As a leader, definitely. One that you can't easily stop listening to.
As for memory, they can't affect his, or the ones he's interacting with. Not that Erik's realized that, yet.
The Pale Doll is... meant to be ambiguous. Supportive, in her own way, but ambiguous nevertheless. Considering the last time Erik encountered her, however? She has, very much so, her own agenda. Visiting Erik just may or may not be involved with this one, considering their last meeting, and her giving him advice outright. As for cooperating with Eldritch horrors? He's not sure what to make of things yet, or how to get out without fucking over someone. So he's having to watch, wait, and be curious as to what everything is that's going on.
As for her relationship with him? He's stressed, realizing he's being fucked with, and has a doll in front of him, talking with him. It's very much why she warned him that Hunters from Bloodborne would likely start hunting him, if he hurt her, and that she has a respawn mechanic here, as well. She has a respawn mechanic in Bloodborne, and Gehrman outright tells the character that "You're welcome to use whatever you find. ...Even the doll, should it please you...". There's lots of horrifying ways you can take that sort of comment... and even if she loves Hunters equally...? *sighs* Blegh. Complicated writing, can you tell? And throwing so much bullshit in, to make a neat story doesn't make it easier or simpler.
As for being a sucker for cute girls? He very much wants to help people. That doesn't mean he can exactly trust her, yet. Even if she's telling the truth, she can obscure so many things by simply omitting bits of information here and there. Because he's seen enough of the game to know shit's going on behind the scenes in the game, and likely not that much different for her, Bloodborne character or not.
As for camping? Yeah, the light pollution being gone gave me one of the best views I've had in a very long time. Only thing close to it was a winter camping trip years and years ago, where we were high in the mountains and had a great view. It's pretty hard on the body, if you're not used to heavy lifting. Car camping can be pretty nice, though, especially when it's still this cold out, for the Pacific Northwest.
