It's not a particularly big chunk, though. Only about 1% of people are openly gay or bisexual.
Sure, they probably aren't going to object if gay people like it too, but that's not their main market. You only have to look at the adverts they put out to see that.

It probably depends on the country.
Wikipedia claims it's 4% in the US, and 1.5% in the UK. Note also that this is the proportion that self-identify as gay (which is what is important in this case), not necessarily the proportion that actually are....

Shirou will more or less get tangled into the clock tower due to rin in the first two route but their relationship will vary due to the infinite realities like the one with Luvia and Shirou going to investigate the DA with the series of casinos through the Kaldioscope.
This is one where Shirou gets involved (or rather) dragged by Lorelei or vice-versa.
