So. Fanfiction.
*Headdesk.*
I give up. It's talking to a wall.
Well, there is this ...
It's just the Nasuverse Lancelot/Guin/Arturia triangle in a few words.
"Lancelot, known as the Knight of the Lake, had been loyal to Arturia as a Knight of the Round Table. He was one of the few individuals that Arturia viewed as a friend, and as such was privy to the secret of her true gender, as well as the nature and properties of her sword. Lancelot's downfall began when he fell in love with Arturia's queen, Guinevere. Though the king was actually a woman, Arturia had married in order to maintain the image of a stable royal family before the kingdom, and also to maintain the pretence that she was a male. Guinevere, in turn, willingly sacrificed her own life as a woman in order to preserve this ideal government."
So how did it feel Theo, talking to a wall?
Doesn't sound like much of a triangle. Seems like Saber is way off to the side banging Shirou.
Tell me, if word had gotten out that the King's wife was cheating on him with his friend, what do you think would have happened to the government? There's a reason she gave up her life as a woman, and Lancelot helped undermine that reason, and could have caused a civil war.
You really shouldn't have brought up pairing Lancelot and Saber.
And again, it took awhile for that to happen.
Here's more that I forgot to add.
"When Lancelot and the queen began their affair, the Knight of the Lake considered fleeing Camelot with her, but his loyalty to Arturia and his sense of duty prevented him from doing so. When political enemies of the king exposed the affair, the queen was ordered to be executed. Left with little choice, Lancelot attempted to save her, killing several of his fellow knights in the process. Lancelot, who was considered the Perfect Knight, Guinevere, the queen who had made her beloved betray his duty, and Arturia the king who blamed herself for her loyal knight's despair, all suffered from the resulting fallout. "
@ DR: Very frustrating. I've always been on good terms with Mike before, so I've never experienced this.
@ Neir: Triangle was just easier to say.
Arturia was quite happy to see Guinevere being taken care of by Lancelot. She was relieved to see that Guinevere was happy with Lancelot. And she was devastated and crying when she thought he became a Berserker because of the hate he bore to her for giving the order that also pained her greatly.
As it's said, their marriage was just to keep up a facade of a royal family.
I give up. For reals this time. Just wanted to add those passages.
@ Keyne: Bro! I knew there was a reason I loved you~!
********
K, idea time.
Rider x Herakles. Can anyone see it working in fluff or lemons?
You don't know what you're saying out of blind hate.Looks like the two of them got what they deserved, even if Lancelot should have been burned at the stake along side her.
I know. I read that bit not long ago. No problem, Theo.@ Keyne: Bro! I knew there was a reason I loved you~!
Cheaters never prosper, they get burned at the stake.
And yet you tried to break up his OTP?
I don't hate Lancelot, I just don't think he;s as good as Theo keeps portraying him as. I also helps that I hate people who cheat on their spouses.
And that is why I dislike Alter x Lancelot. *proud*
Logic: Shut uuuuuuuup.
Break my OTP? When? And yet you tried to break up his OTP?
Such is to be expected when you have a concrete stance on a pairing. Spy just wants Shirou to be the one to give all the dickings, not anyone else. It's his personal bias, so it's useless to argue with him.

I think it was mine. Not Keyne's.
Edit: @DR: I kinda think Shirou deserves to give the dickings, after all the shit he went through.
I proposed Alter x Berserking!Lancelot fluff/lemon.
Twas not even a serious suggestion, but people kept responding to it. *Shrugs.*
I'd rather see fluff than a lemon, honestly. Even if it's platonic, "It's nice to be around someone familiar" fluff.
Also, I consider Alter to be almost entirely different from Saber normal.
