I like how in this game you can just get lost for hours upon hours by going off the beaten track.
I ended up killingbefore even encountering Radahn or Rennala. When you're doing piss-all damage and getting trucked you know you probably aren't supposed to be there. But the game lets you have the option of the path you take to a great degree and it's awesome. Just don't get hit and you can go wherever, whenever. The true essence of dank souls. More free than any other installment. Also make sure you adjust the affinity on your weapon. I didn't mess around with the art or ashes system first playthrough and you're definitely hard gimping yourself if you're not. Dark Souls open world is taxing though. I feel like I needed to walk over every square to make sure some item wasn't conveniently placed just off a ledge and out of sight as I ran through an area. Also, who else considers their torch essential? It makes such a big difference and it's great.Surprise
man +25 weapons are ridiculous

Ulcerated Tree Spirit re-arranged my skeleton repeteadly until it bugged out and stopped moving, which gave me the kill. That was funny, though I wonder at what level you're supposed to be doing this particular side-path and boss fight.

Lantern is our god. I'd use that one lady's jellyfish, I think that's supposed to glow in the dark, but summoning isn't usable in half the dungeons, which is kind of meh.
Fuck the nerds who were like "waah ds2 should've been all dark like in the E3 trailers", they had no fucking clue how annoying a Souls playthrough permanently in the dark would've been.

I don't dare open the spoiler tag. What was your playtime at the end?
I wish I could say it was a nice 69 hours, but it ended up 70.
I have spent far too stubbornly long on bosses far over my weapon's, but I really love how the game just lets you explore.
