So, the Pikachu gift has a flying Tera type that's being advertised. Do you think that means that perhaps not every Tera type will be available to pokemon in the region(Since Pikachu obviously is running around in the wild).

If I had to guess, I'd say each species will have a limited number of Tera types in the wild, but no limitations on Tera raids (like dyna vs giganta). That way they can make raids and raid events more desirable.

When the game is likely to add ~100 Pokemon there is ample room for some ugly little bastards, especially for people like myself who want the explicitly ugly ones (ok but not Bruxish)

Fair enough, calling any Pokemon ugly while Bruxish exists is going too far.

Pikachu on baloons was that Pokemon GO anniversary Pokemon, right? Can you actually transfer that to a mainline game? I never tried.
And I assume the gift you're talking about is a preorder bonus thing, not the one they gave out in the previous stream?

You can't transfer a gen 1 Pikachu to modern games, so I'm pretty sure Pikachu with Fly is still a novelty. Also, what's the point of bringing up the Pokemon Yellow opening? The PokeGO anniversary Pikachu I'm talking about COULD actually be caught.

Brought it up to show how old it is. Anyway, it's possible to transfer Gen1 up because of virtual console. If you wanted to, for sentimental reasons, transfer a mon from a legit cartridge, you could do that too if you are willing to buy some external tools to dump saves in addition to hacking your system. You aren't wrong that it's mostly novelty in this case though since prior to gen 5 there was transfer issues with HM moves so you'd end up transferring the mon but without the move. It's appeared in gen 1/3/5/6/7 though so it would be hassle free to port one up from Gen 5 or newer if you are only into mainline games.
