Generic Fighting Games Thread

Since me, and at least Tem, seem to have wildly varying ideas on what makes fighting games fun, and neat DLC to games that the normal Videogame thread crowd seems to ignore, I figured why not make a thread about all the fighting game minutia that slips through the cracks. (AKA Anything not Melty)

So how about those DLC characters/patches/local tourneys/drunken rambling about you going 15-0 or 0-15? Is Darly Dagger the best new character in the last 10 years? Or do you have shit taste? How fun is Kolin in SFV, even if she's basically just Decapre v2.0? IS DNF going to be any good, or the second coming of MvC 2 bullshit? Is that a good thing? What new character have Skullgirls added seven years later after their team lead turned out to be a huge asshole? Is porting all the MvC:I characters to MvC3 a great thing, or dishonour to HonHun that requires 30 solo runs of G rank Rathalos to atone for?

Anything and/or anything that requires a quarter circle forward input is welcome.

Playing UNIST two days whole straight playing Sion and going back to Lumina really messes me up so hard in Lumina lol.

I like King in Tekken a lot but I can't tell how much of that is because the man is pure aesthetic and how much is because he carries my noob ass with those health-halving kicks and lariats. I've only got one of his grapple chains down and I've yet to actually use it on a human opponent.

Is Melty a Main Anime Fighter? It's been non-existent outside of jokes for about a decade. Sure it's a classic, but ever since Under Night came out no one really looked at it twice. Did it ever even get an English release, outside of fan translations?
