Nier is just overpowered Relius, if you know how to deal with one you know how to deal with the other.

(Admittedly I haven't had to fight her much and I'm hardly top level anyway so my opinion might not matter that much).

Friend 1 challenged Friend 2 (fgc fanatic), at the time 60ish top [Strive Character] in the world, to get top 30. Friend 2 proceeded to grind to 20something in three days. Now Friend 1 doubled down and challenged them to hit top 10. I'm worried about what's gonna happen if the absolute madman actually does it.

I have recently discovered that XX and Accent Core are actually not canon games, which means that all characters introduced in those games who return in Strive (like ABA and Bridget) are simply Daisuke's impression of those characters. This explains a staggering amount of narrative inconsistencies. In Daisuke's Vision, after Missing Link (a game no one has played), there is X (a game no one has played) which is followed by Overture (a game no one has played), which then is followed by Sign, and nothing exists between these four games. So, basically, they are all being introduced as fresh new never before seen characters.
This should include Zappa, but he's already present in Xrd story mode, and his XX story solely is treated as something that did happen, which is actually really strange, because it would tie into Faust already having found out who killed the little girl and what not, one of the many plot threads that happened in XX and were made to happen again in Xrd because XX never happened.

And still no sign of bringing Kliff back even just for arcade mode.

Huh, interesting. Though, when you stop and think about it, XX/AC/+R really didn't have much in the way of consequential story, seeing as it was mostly just I-no fucking with everyone + certain characters having their own minor plot threads + having a bunch of alternate universe endings (like the one where Baiken kills I-no and becomes a psycho murderer). Them going the "this isn't canon but it had cool characters/concepts so we'll bring them over" route makes sense.
