It is kind of suspicious. I'm genuinely wondering how Studio BB is doing.
We’re at 375 days without news from Studio BB. Our record (pun unintended) is 375 days.
I feel like the remake was still in very early production but then the tenth anniversary of Extra came, creating a huge urge to announce something. In other words, circumstances meant they announced too soon and now they have nothing to show for progress for a long time.

A theory I'm seeing go around is that instead of Servants it's about living Norse characters in the Age of Gods. Which would be something new for Fate, but I don't think there's any evidence for that aside from Miwa doing Sigurd and Bryn.

I've seen speculation that the new Miwa character is Sigurd and Bryn's child.
Her eyes are the same color as Sigurd's...

They said development started "6 months ago" when the first stream launched so yes, this is what's happening. Early announcement to coincide with Extra anniversary and now there's not much to show because it's early in development. The lack of announcement on platforms and Niino saying a lot of "Maybes" to questions makes sense taking that into account.

My guess is with Extra Record they're waiting to get more stuff done and show it off once a substantial amount is done.

I feel like the word 妄想 is being used in its fandom meaning, as in theories and fan content with no canon evidence to support. That is, until Sakurai looked at it and call it canon.
