Aurora Borealis?
Located entirely inside of Sakurai's spin-off?
Assuming centre girl is indeed Aslaug, what do you wanna bet that top-left guy is Ragnar Lodbrok?

Oh wait, it straight up says "Aslaug" at the bottom there.
I am dumb.

can't wait to roll for them
I guess by the presence of Command Seals that this is modern day setting and not ancient Scandinavia like some were speculating.

N-no
Sub-Grail War like the kind in Apocrypha's world?
So it's a sub-war set in the Apocrypha world where each Master summons two Servants?
Since Phoenix is translating the prologue immediately, I'll keep the proper volume preview under spoiler tags.
The start of new Sub-Grail War mixing past and present
Aslaug, daughter of the great dragon slayer and the valkyrie
Ragnar Lodbrok, viking living in the 9th Century
What awaits them after the contradictions are solved?

Sakurai solving the age-long chronological plot-hole introduced by the person who tried to connect Sigurd's tales with Ragnar's. That's kinda funny in a meta way.
Sounds like this will finally explain the inconsistent timeline of Scandinavian and Germanic myths, hopefully without the Irish being shoved in.
Curious if it'll be all new Servants, or if they'll just grab some FGO pairs to flesh out the 3-5 other teams seeing as it seems to be a particularly character driven story. Grabbing already established Servants mean less page time needed to flesh them out.
so if im understading right this grail war is by pairs but they are summoned separetly not like duo servants right
