    Yep, still three.

There is also a HQ Stage and a Battle Stage, but we don't really know what that means besides the battle portion.

@ ryugasaikyou It's not translated yet, I'm about 2/3 rds of the way through. I should be done within the next two days though. I'm just at the last section where there's a flashback to Aslaug's first meeting with Ragnar.

Maybe they are gonna "cheat" the subspecies supposed limitations by claiming their servants are shittier saint graphs than normal. While combat ability is there, the supposed memory loss is because the servants were just shittily copied from the throne instead of properly copied like usual.

Nah, since somebody was looking for the Arthurian connection it's clearly Tristan and a genderbent Isolde. XD

I do have a thought though. With the supposed limitation of 5 servants to sub-categories and this being seemingly doubles matches here, reckon it might be servants like the Dioscuri or Bonny & Read? A buncha servants that share a singular saint graph?

It’d be hilarious if all Masters got regional pairs with great pre-established relationships, except without Remina’s memory shenanigans.

I'm expecting Aslaug and Ragnar's memory issues to be tied to how Ragnar's historicity (is that a word?) is disputed.

That would be cool, but I am somewhat skeptical of why they would be chosen by Sakurai/Miwa.

Maybe it's just me, but that would be the ideal setup.

    Spoiler:
The main bit of characterization Remina gets in the prologue is that she thinks she's the luckiest Master and is straight up celebrating how she practically already won because she rolled two local Norwegian Servants choke full of local fame bonus and past synergy. She's a bit concern about the memory blunder, but her confidence is her godly gacha pull far outweighs that. You know, basic set-up for an arc about her hubris paying off disastrously.

My comment was that it would be hilarious if the thing that got her singing her victory in the prologue turned out to be something everyone has.

    Spoiler:
Everyone else getting a Norse pair after Remina's celebration would be funny but isn't there implied to be a Slavic Caster? I heard some brief mentions of that.

It might have been milder in the Viking Age, but it still feels weird to find Ragnarr calling himself a viking explicitly.
    To elaborate and clarify:

"Vikings" were specifically pirates and raiders, but that wasn't seen negatively among the Viking Age Norse, far from it. Even among their Christian descendants that was still often seen as praise-worthy; for instance, it's even part of the kings' sagas formula to have the protagonist go viking in their youth before returning and, well, continuing to be a pirate and a raider, except now as landed nobility. It wouldn't be strange for Ragnar to call himself a "viking" - though it is a bit strange he doesn't call himself "king" instead, but I can't really comment on that without knowing more about this Ragnar's characterisation.

"Berserkers" were a specific group of *elite* warriors strongly associated in the literature with Odinic worship. It's true, though, that they did get a negative reputation over time as dangerous, unpredictable, and bullies who took advantage of Iceland's legal system to gain land and good by means of threats and duels. However, just like not all Norsemen were vikings, not all vikings were berserkers.

Off the top of my head:
    Sigmundr and Sinfjötli
    Helgi and Sigrún/Kara
    Bödvar Bjarki and Hjalti
    Bödvar Bjarki and Hrólfr Kraki
    Olaf Tryggvason and Einarr Tambarskjelfir
    Bosi and Herraud
    Bosi and Smidr

Not all of those are perfect pairings - given Sinfjötli's death, for example, it's possible a reunion with his father might be very awkward :-P -, but they all have "canon" examples of working well in the sagas.

The preview blurb Comun translated on the first page says he can't remember being a king even though the stories say he was. He and Aslaug also don't remember each other.

Now imagine, a master appears with a pair of wolves servants looking all very cool and intimidating just for the wolves to suddenly go out of control and focus all their attacks on Ragnar while ignoring Aslaug completely. Grandpa and Uncle do not approved of their in-law while their in-law doesn't even remember he is one. And when Aslaug finally tries to intervene one of the wolves suddenly starts criticizing her fishnet outfit.

I’m pulling for Hildibrandr and his student Þjódrekr, mainly because the former having Gram would be really interesting to see how the heroes deal with that - both literally and emotionally in the case of Aslaug.

was I reading it wrong or did Ragnar really don't remember Aslaug?

thought only Aslaug doesn't have memory of Ragnar.

Thinking about it, given Aslaug and Ragnar memory problems, for mayor gut punching drama it'll be interesting if one or more of their children got summoned on another team
