Yeah the font does kinda look like a placeholder so it's gonna be weird if they use it, especially when the much better font for the trailer text is right there.
Mcjon is the chad who had the balls to actually translate this thing. Then he got bullied by the community and the platform he was hosting the project on blew up, effectively killing the whole thing.
Hollow Moon picked it up after that.

The unsung translation in all honestly I actually like mcjons translation because at least it made me feel like nasu writing.

Whoever it might be that enforces this policy, they really ought to get their hands slapped for overstepping creative boundaries. Nasu, please leave English alone for a second, there are actually people here trying to read it like this.
Actually scratch that, I just realized TsukiRE mats was in Hepburn.
Maybe Nasu isn't to blame this time around and instead its some random employee somewhere along the chain between the translators and TM.
My interpretation is that Nasu's romanization of preference changed with the years, but this is one of the points he's weirdly anal about consistency.
Altria is Altria because Google Translate gave him the cigarette brand name in 2010, and it stays Altria because the name was officialized by a material book.

Likewise, my bet will always be that Sizuki Soujyuro is spelled like that because that's the spelling Nasu already put in the high school Mahoyo notebook that will never see the light of the day.
