I really do wish I remembered more of the books that I read.

I'll vote Hogfather, if only because "She opened her eyes. And then she opened her eyes." was a great moment.

    What is DISCworld?
I think it goes: "I don't trust people like me." — no, that's not it…

It's a book series by Terry Pratchett set on a disc-shaped earth resting on the backs of four elephants standing on the back of a giant turtle.

    I recommend it.

    That's weird.

I heard of RINGworld (never read it) because of Halo, but not DISCworld.

Damnit man, way to make a Sophie's Choice.

As great as all the series are, I always thought the strongest stories came from stand alone books. Small Gods, Monstrous Regiment, The Truth. And orbital turtle drop beats out a squad of socks. Going Postal was pretty good too.

I've only read the first handful of so, and I don't remember them that well, so I should disqualify myself from voting the best one.

    But Mort was great.

The Death series only gets better, at least I believe Reaper Man and Hogfather are among some of the best

Oof, then you missed out on the best.

I honestly can't decide. Vimes, Moist, Tiffany & the witches, Death, they're all great.

Bookshop I was getting them in once a week changed owners and the new one was an asshole, sadly.

I picked up my set one summer when the big chain bookstore had a buy 2 get 1 deal on paperbacks.

That was also how I got a bunch of my classics collection, since sometimes I'd have a free book on deck and figure why not pick up Dracula/the Illiad/Frankenstein.

Zero votes for Soul Music and Men at Arms? Zero votes for *Reaper Man*?! I am all astonishment.

There's 10 votes and like 40 books. I'm actually surprised we have any doubles.

    Yes, but it's *Reaper Man*.
(Don't mind me, I just love the aforementioned novels. :-) Last Hero won out, but only by a tiny bit!)
