I just spent a chunk of my day, thinking it was an obscure Arthurian figure and was no way of being Kay, because of the FC. after scouring websites on giants of Arthurian origins for a while, I come back only to see the answer. I try too hard sometimes.

Also, why did he have the title of the ancient?

I’m just gonna guess for Koga’s second one. Honestly, you should either make the title more obscure, or don’t include them at all if they’re this obvious. Anyways, my guess is Aladar Gerevich, the one regarded as the greatest Olympic fencer.

Also, maybe in a more organized manner, every day or week someone can decide the theme of the characters.

The Ancient title is a hint to him being one of the oldest knights with lore about them. I have updated the beginning of the thread. Also, Koga, i would say number 2 is Miklos Toldi.

Ancient usually provokes the idea of being ancient, in age or time. Something like oldest would be much more fitting.
