What's your go-to snack food? The pinnacle of comfort food. The thing you have in your cupboard just waiting for that occasionaln long bullshit workday to finish before you rip it open and feel really guilty about it the next day.

Mine's chocolate chip cookies. Actually peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, but that requires I bake in advance and I'm not that forward thinking, so store bought wins the day.



Food only, alcohol doesn't count, no matter what drunk me says.

Potato chips... are what I actually like best, but I'm trying not to snack between meals these days. If I really can't wait for lunch, my actual go-to is a rice cake around 11:30-12. Quaker "everything" and tomato & basil flavors being preferred.

Just straight up, or do you go for the ones that are stuffed with things like almonds or blue cheese? I always see those ones at the store but never pick them up because I just need a 2L of pizza cuts.

we have this store chain that routinely sells kitkat at bargain prices
like think 50 cents of a dollar or less per kitkat
the craziest one was in black friday last year where it was 7 kitkats for 10 reais, or around 2 dollars
So I now have the tradition of having a stack of kitkats in a special cupboard
I try not to eat them to often, yet I often fail

What makes it Pacific-style?

Atlantic-style smoked salmon is derived from the salmon smoking techniques of Jewish cuisine and is typically saltier and served in thin sheets. Pacific-style smoked salmon comes from the cuisines of the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest and is chunky and drier, a bit like jerky. Outside of the PNW it seems to be called "candied salmon" and it's harder to find in stores.

What I have as comfort food is a local brand of cookies that's either chocolate cookies with vanilla cream or vanilla cookies with chocolate cream, my personal pinnacle of comfort food though is shaved ice with lots of syrup, preferably mint syrup, no matter how miserable I might be that always improves my mood.

to be honest i don't think i really have one. there are snacks i really like but nothing i always ensure i purchase

but if we're strictly talking comfort food (that is also a snack), i'd either go with nanaimo bars or jalapeno poppers. i do not eat these often nor are they my favourites, but i associate a lot of childhood memories with these snacks as they would always be at family gatherings. so whenever i do have them it does make me feel good remembering when things were good
