Here's some news about the anniversary costumes this year.

Fortunately living in Spain means the game news start around 9:40. I wasn't planning to wake up early if that wasn't the case, last anniversary made my expectations about the next one be very low, after how they implemented the coin system.

I will miss the staff talk which is the other thing I'm interested in, but that's not a big loss.
Is this the first time they updated the icon? I feel like I'd remember noticing a number/change prior to this, but maybe I'm mistaken. If this is indeed the first time then I'm a bit more confident they'd have good things to show, since they're "hyping" it up with such an unprecedented change. Still gonna reign in my expectations, but at least given the trend of releasing a, somewhat, broken mechanic and fixing it a year or so later maybe coins get improved a bit? Poor Angra/limited 3 Stars.
For my actual predictions, I'd say:
Merlin (Prototype) > LB7 Servant > Xu Fu > some random japanese servant >>> Arcueid (only if she appears in LB7) > Rasputin = Galahad > Chaldean
Rasputin, Galahad, and the Chaldean are all obviously hyped but I think their story importance are too vital to just suddenly show up and be summonable. Especially the Chaldean.
Xu Fu does feel like a possibility even if it would be insanely boring. I like Xu Fu it's just I don't see her as exciting enough for anniversary.
I could see a random LB7 Servant appearing early. This is the only reason I think Arcueid is a possibility because I doubt they'd do a Servant that's simply a collab as an anniversary Servant.
I think female Merlin is the most likely possibility. Arcade is basically done, she'd sell well, and promo materials do give a Avalon/KoTR vibe.
Honestly, I'd shunt proto Merlin down to the "about as likely as the Chaldean" end. It's speculation that seems almost entirely based on wishful thinking (ditto for Seimei, because that seems to overthink that you couldn't really have Heian-Kyo and Douman without at least highlighting his existence somewhere).
Like, "Arcade is finished, so GO's 7th anniversary Servant is going to be an AU version of someone it already has, without any relevance to the mobile storyline"? I don't buy it as the most probable outcome.
Well, despite patterns it's not like the anniversary Servant has to be relevant to the storyline. The only actual thing I see mattering is that they're exciting so the anniversary will be exciting.
And even then, who is to say it's not like Castoria. Proto Merlin could show up and just be relevant later. It's basically the same reason I think a LB7 Servant (potentially Arcueid, if unlikely) could be the anniversary Servant as well.
I'd still think this is more likely than the big three story possibilities (Rasputin, Galahad, Chaldean) who are all essentially antagonistic and would likely lessen any impact any upcoming reveals might have if they just became our allies now.
5*: Rasputin > LB7 Servant > Galahad > Chaldean > Arcueid > Merlin (Prototype) > some random japanese servant.
Past 2 anniversaries have been spoilers, and Kotomine is the safest among the spoiler options.
Arcueid is someone Nasu stated multiple times he wants in FGO but last year he added that he can't find room in the roadmap for a Tsukihime. Anniversary and New Year are the opportunities Arc has to appear without an event. Also she's the champion of the 2020 most wanted Servant poll, and Lasangle just delivered No. 2 and 3 (Bazett and Charlemagne) in this first semester.
Proto Merlin is THE Arcade exclusive. Her chances aren't zero but might as well be.
Low rarity: Xu Fu > Aggravain or Han Xin > Takasugi or Maxwell > other Gudaguda NPCs.
Self-explanatory.
Ignoring my giant bias/week long state of panic, I think I'd go
Rasputin > LB7 > Chaldean > Random > Galahad > Arc > Proto Merlin, thinking about it
Largely because giving us summonable Galahad when Mash is still dooting around in her nearly finished character arc would just seem like it's shooting themselves in the foot? And trying to make an offensive Shielder (even for Anniversary) feels like a dumb move, and they just did a terrible defensive Servant. i.e. his chances go way up once they're done messing around with Mash.
Okay guys I really want Rasputin too, I was trying to convince myself it wasn't going to happen. Now you're getting my hopes up.
If we don't get Rasputin I am blaming you both for my crushed dreams.
I don't want Resputin (I'd rather have something I can feel happy skipping or putting token effort in), I just think it's the obvious bet.
Which might also make it the least likely. xD
The Chaldean feels more like a New Year's Servant ngl.
What if they pull a Skadi and it's just Joan, and they expected her to be much more popular than what she is
I'm fronting a bit but I'm not gonna lie, I'm legit worried that they're going to completely shit the bed
Clearly the anniversary Servant is spoiler
