Pet Name Median Syllable Count Estimation Project
Occurred to me earlier today that almost all of the cats I know have two-syllable names. This seems to be the norm. I would be surprised if two was not the average. It is probably the average for human names, even. But I am compelled to investigate further, and to expand the scope of the question to other animals that are not cats. Let's see.

Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
Two syllable here. Same for the hamster and the dog.
I've heard somewhere that two syllabe names is the perfect lenght for a pet name because they can still recognize this word as their name or something like that? So I usually name mine like that too (currently having a Remy, Sitka and Karna).
The exception being my black cat Arjunawho, then again I mostly call Juna for convenience sake so it still applies.

Bello and Pico for mine (short for Piccolo, but nobody called him that besides the vet). Short names are supposedly easier for pets to remember and identify with themselves,( not that I ever met a cat that would respond when called).
My mother went for full-on names in her stray adoption project, though.

Miss cat: two syllables
my future cat Miss Frederica also known as Erika: four and three syllables
my future cat Mr Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau: nine syllables (or wait is it ten?) and referred to with full name only
