Atop the deck of your ship, Erice and Yan Qing are sparring. Yan Qing is utterly dominating Erice, having won every bout. Erice feels a bit dejected, but Yan Qing comforts her: had they used weapons the results would surely be different, her spear is quite dangerous. At this, Erice starts a long-winded explanation about her "Finger of the Erlkönig" and its various abilities. Yan Qing can't keep up.
Gareth shows up, wanting to go next now that Erice is done. Yan Qing denies her: they have to get going soon. Lady Avalon and you have been watching the sparring from the side. The Lady finds the shows amusing, not so much out of an interest in martial arts, but watching two people put down their all for something. Almost makes her want to help. Fou sneaks up on her, suspicious of her intentions.
Inside the ship, Goredolf sighs, and Asclepius wonder if he's sick. The Valkyries suggest they drink tea to allay his worries. The rest of the crew arrives, and Goredolf explains his worries: the next area is managed by Raikou, and in her student council president form, no less! She's gonna force them into some crazy Genji training regimen, no doubt. Gareth at least, seems excited by that prospect. You briefly consider skipping it, but no can do.
Thrud agrees it's going to be dangerous, and then also reports that transmissions from Chaldea have gotten unstable ever since she encountered of those flying fishes this morning. Must be Skadi's work. In any case, the Valkyries will remain here to protect the ship from any more interference like that. For some reason, Fou wants to stay with them.
Out of the shadow comes Douman: Genji, was it? Douman has swapped around his costume, revealing more of his physique: Polar Bear Mode, he claims. Though its incomplete and can't do battle. What a shame, seems he'll just have to stay behind for this one! Yan Qing and Gareth pick him up and drag him away regardless. Asclepius and Erice will of course come too.

You arrive at the Genji Hot Spring, which Erice notes looks like a typical Japanese spa resort, not a hot spring. Asclepius and Douman both compare it to things from their own cultures. This place seems super popular already, with tons of customers around. It also allows bathing in swimsuits. Douman notes its a bit too 'hella hype' for him. He should've stayed back, after all.
Raikou greets you: hopefully you will find this resort to your liking.
Later, at the Genji Staff Room. You explain the situation of the seals to Raikou. Both Lady Avalon and Erice had a bit (a lot, corrects Asclepius and Yan Qing) of trouble with the sales to begin with, so how about Raikou. She's been having no problem, a steady increase of customers since the start. Surely they'll be able to hit her quota in no time. As long as nobody interferes, at least. Raikou glares at Douman. Fret not, Douman reasons he is the good Douman today, Goodman, if you will.
Gareth heard there was gonna be hellish training waiting for them, how about that? Raikou confesses she did have plans of something to that effect and had started building it, when a mysterious Heian lady (Murasaki) stopped her, and instead advised her to build this hot spring, as giving customers rest instead of tiring them out would be proper. Gareth is let down.
Lady Avalon finds it odd Raikou who is so concerned with propriety would make this hot spring so teeming with pools and swimsuits. What happened? Well, that too comes down to the advice of another mysterious Heian lady (Sei): this place should have more pools so customer could interact! And to avoid everyone being naked together in a hot spring, we can just make them wear swimsuits: it's NOT taboo.
And so, the Genji Hot Springs were complete, highly popular among even the youth. Raikou is a bit easy to convince sometimes. Douman seems pleased at how demure the Genji commander has become, to which she strikes back that the wicked Douman has practically become a pet cat. You break up their bickering, to which Douman goes off to enjoy the facility.
Suddenly, Erice feels something from her spirits. The earth starts shaking briefly. What was that? Raikou says it happens occasionally, apparently there's an underwater volcano nearby. Erice seems suspicious: there were no earthquakes in her area. Raikou tells you to enjoy the water and not worry about the sales.

Lady Avalon switches into her swimsuit as to enjoy the water. Still, what was that earthquake about, Raikou seemed a bit bothered even if she didn't say so. The customers don't seem bothered, so it really must be common, at least. If there's nothing to do, Asclepius wants to return to the ship. Gareth tries to convince him to stay: look at the amazing curing water here! Physical ATK Buff, Magical Energy Buff, Body Function Buff, Status Debuff Resistance Buff, Invincibility and even Stars per Turn! Wait, what's in this water...?
The Lady explains each area's manager is given practically unlimited magical energy to realize their facility. If used on the hot spring water, it will surely bear tons of beneficial effects. Asclepius changes his mind and runs off to investigate the wellspring. He's not gonna cause any trouble... right? You set off after him.
You come across an area with smaller baths. But wait, is that a coffee cup bath? MHXA fervently explains its many upsides, from the 100% pure coffee brewed with spring water, to the detox effect gained from the coffee flavor. There's even tons of milk and caramel sauce added. How about it, would you like to try? That's not coffee, that's a Caffé Macchiato!! You'll pass.
Gareth points to some electric baths on the other side. Edison and Tesla are fighting over whose is the one that really needs to be there, until Babbage comes from his steam bath to break up their quarreling. And there's that jet bath! Okita is carrying Nobu high into the air, before doing a deep dive back into the bath. Some kind of new torture method? Regardless, the sights got you so distracted you've lost sight of Asclepius.
Yan Qing asks Gareth to track him down using Aned. The dog starts sniffing, but quickly points towards a food stand. Suddenly, Douman starts whispering into your ears. He has currently made himself invisible. He advises the current thing the dog is leading them toward is dangerous... suddenly an object comes flying his way, knocking him out of his invisibility. Sei apologizes for the action, she thought you were being haunted by some evil spirits or something.
Murasaki and Sei walk up to you, incredulous to see Douman dressed in something normal. They ask about your impression of the hot spring so far. Quite good! The two of them work here, doing patrols and sometimes working at the food stands, selling their famous polar manjuus. Sei will treat you to some, she says, and starts dragging Douman with her.
You enjoy the manjuus together back at the large pools. Even Aned gets some. Lady Avalon notices they contain magical energy. Indeed, the dough is infused with water from the springs. Sei immediately gives Lady Avalon the nickname of Lebanon. Sei does remind Erice of a certain someone... Yan Qing wonders why they'd make manjuus at a hot spring though. To answer such a question, the new Valkyries suddenly shoot out of the water!
You see: humans calories equal to 10 minutes of walking when relaxing in 42 degree Celsius water, so to regain that calorie amount, you have to increase your blood sugar levels before going in. That's why you should always eat your candies the establishment gives out before entering the hot spring!
Okay, but why are the Valkyries here? Obviously they're inspection this area! Can't let people misuse the large amount of magical energy given by Skadi. Last time they were on break, but if something unbecoming happens now, they'll shut down the area temporarily! You can't let that happen, at least. The Valkyries seems pleased for now, at least.
But they sure are knowledgeable about hot springs, how come? They learned it from a Servant that passed by. Must've been Asclepius, you reason. Yan Qing asks Murasaki where the wellspring is: they need to find Asclepius. She says she'll lead you there as long as you promise not to do anything weird. Sei look at the water, noting it appears much hotter than usual. No, more than just that! It's practically turning into lava!
The Valkyries jump out of the water at the sudden heat. Something must've happened at the wellspring! Did Asclepius do something? No, this is too much, even for him. Murasaki says to leave this to her and Sei for now, but she'll ask of them to investigate the cause by the wellspring. And get the Valkyries something cold!
Douman watches in amusement, and is about to you in going to the wellspring... when Sei grabs him by his arm and pulls him back. She'll make him help out up with them. Douman is annoyed that someone feels as though he needs to be kept watch over, but accedes. He didn't have anything planned, at least not for this area.

You arrive at the wellspring, which is practically a volcano. It's not even water!! No wonder it was so hot. Over by a rock lies a collapsed Asclepius. He was attacked in the middle of investigating the wellspring. But just who could achieve something like that? You hear a snicker. Out of the lava emerges... Ibuki Douji in a swimsuit! Tadaa!
Umm, Ibuki, could you please not turn into a lava girl? Ibuki is happy to meet you, even if it happens to be in this practical hell-scape. She hiccups, clearly drunk. Lady Avalon calmly analyses, someone on Ibuki's divine level would surely find it easy to interfere with the flow of magical energy in this area to change its rules.
Raikou appears out of the shadows, so this is the culprit responsible for the earthquakes and lava! So this is all the fault of the walking taboo that is Ibuki Douji! Ibuki feels like she's the one wearing the less revealing swimsuit, but okay... It's not like she was doing anything illegal, she just wanted a bath.
Raikou seems weirdly convinced by the argument. Is that to say Ibuki is simply a customer? Right, she entered the water and just found it waaay too lukewarm, so she just had to meddle a little with the wellspring to get to the right level of heat. Raikou finally returns to her senses and attacks Ibuki, who clamors for your aid while casually deflecting Raikou's Noble Phantasm with her offhand.
Raikou is repelled, and asks Ibuki if she's responsible for the earthquakes too. Ibuki rebukes that Raikou would be more familiar with those than she is. You're shocked, and Raikou is about to confess to you when it starts shaking. It quickly settles down like before, but something weird is going on outside, says Yan Qing. Wait, this earthquake was... footsteps?
Ibuki tells you all good luck with the monsters! She's done with her own hot spring visit anyway. She transforms into a cheerleader and gives you some words of encouragement before disappearing. A transmission from Mashu suddenly comes in, the connection has been reestablished. She tells you to immediately return to the center of the facility. A massive monster has emerged!
Up above, Douman is confronting the monster (massive boar type), about to activate Akimitsu... who is on vacation! Douman gets swallowed whole by the monster just as you arrive. R.I.P. What a tragedy. Murasaki says he's probably still alive inside the stomach of the monster, so let's try rescuing him! Yan Qing clicks his tongue. Before they can continue thinking, and explosion occurs inside the monster, and Douman emerges.
The monster is still unscathed from Douman's attack, quite sturdy. Anyway, Raikou has to explain. Just as she explained before, she had a different plan before the hot spring idea. This was going to be the final boss in her training course, so it was the first thing she prepared! Wait, why?? I guess we all start with the fun stuff. Anyway, she had to get rid of it someway, so after talking to Skadi, she decided to turn it to ice and bury it deep in the Singularity, building her facility on top of it.
Anyway, now its awake and angry. Wait, was it warmed up by Ibuki's lava? Is that why it awakened? Must be, Skadi's work was quite thorough, says Lady Avalon. Were it not for Ibuki, this wouldn't have happened. And not only that, it appears to have gotten stronger too, maybe from the blessed hot spring water?
Lady Avalon will go repair the mess at the wellspring caused by Ibuki so the ice seal can return, you deal with the monster in the meantime. You assemble your Servants and prepare for battle.

Lady Avalon returns, having succeeded in her task. No more lava baths! Now, you just have to make the monster settle down, and it'll return to being frozen. Your Servants all attack the monster at once. The monster is defeated, and freezes down again. Now it can be reburied, and everything will be back to normal. Now everything can go back to normal again! Sei somehow has her doubts about that...

Oops, turns out Lady Avalon accidentally turned off the ability to make the water hot at all. She had no choice if she were to stop Ibuki's alterations! Kind of a shame the hot spring would turn out like this though, says Douman, a broad grin on his face. Raikou seems fine with it though. If so be fate. Gareth is happy she was at least able to experience this one part of the training regime. Asclepius reports there are no casualties among the customers, at least, disappointed. Raikou thanks everyone for their assistance.
Murasaki notes the hot springs being gone might not be all that bad. It seems the polar bears and murres find the current temperature much more to their liking. Seems just a normal pool was the right answer... Raikou gladly announces her re-branding to "Hawaiian Genji"! Though the manjuus might not sell as well now. But no worries, Sei has already prepared a new type of sweet for this occasion! Shaved Ice!
Later on, the new Valkyries are reflecting on how to report this to Skadi. There was misuse of magical energy, but the matter is resolved... The shaved ice was good though! Skadi would love it. They'll bring it as a souvenir. Ibuki shows up again, a bit miffed at the new temperature levels. Oh well, where to next?
Back at the ship, Yan Qing and Gareth are sparring, with the former dominating as usual. But Gareth just keeps getting up, her resolve neverending. Lady Avalon enjoys the show.

Inside the ship, Sei is enjoying some of the food cooked by Goredolf. Wait, why is she here? Oh please Goredolf, can't you see how much she was missing your food? Goredolf blushes. Murasaki and Raikou is there as well. They heard they were heading off in the morning and wanted to say their last goodbyes. Sei also adds they were very curious about the ship, it having so many facilities and all. The Valkyries offer to show them around. They head off.
Sei remains, and Asclepius asks why she isn't going with them. Weeell, she's got something else in mind: fireworks! Let's get going to deck and party all night, Douman! Wait, where'd he go? Asclepius doesn't feel up to it: they're here on a serious mission. But Sei manages to convince him to loosen up. Erice looks on bewildered, before Sei comes up and drags her away as well. She really is just another Karin!
Asclepius sighs, there are safety hazards with fireworks, someone has to look over them. Goredolf comes along as well. You're about to head out to deck too, when... a transmission from Skadi interrupts: are you enjoying yourself? She cackles, but oh, there is so much more in store. More evil cackling.
Douman appears next to you. He must commend her villainous behavior. One cannot but help to tense up. What does Douman want? As it would be, with this seal breached, you will arrive at Skadi's castle tomorrow. Why, by Chaldea's power combined, that witch shall be torn to shreds! Douman smiles wickedly. You run out to deck and tell Sei you found Douman, who forces him into the firework festivities without delay.
Nobody taking Douman seriously but also constantly keeping him on a leash is the best part of this whole event. I wasn't sure what to expect but so far it feels way more fun than oniland

Is anyone else getting the vague suspicion this might eventually turn into the Luluhawa 2.0 BB mentioned back in her Grail Front? Or is that just wishful thinking in wanting her to have a big role again (along with Lip getting a swimsuit, they can't deny her forever!).
We know that there's no hidden mastermind, so if BB is involved, she's a subordinate under Skadi.
