It's lottery time again! This event also comes with the playboy bunny Scathach costume, and a new game mode: Grail Front.

This time, Servants get a damage bonus based on their rarity. The less stars they have, the bigger their bonus, from 20% for 5-stars to 50% for 1-stars.

My issue is every site just copy-pastes the DW promotional summery, so I have no idea what actually happens. I know there's a board, and you move servants, but nothing else. Does that mean every fight is 1v1? Does that mean I should skip all supports then and just go full Unga Bunga? Run full Berserker teams to get rid of any type disadvantages? It's just all really vague.

[Each Grail Front map has a set number of slots, each pertaining to a certain class. You can put your Servants in the corresponding slots and equip CEs to them up to the map's cost limit.
Once the game starts, you move your Servants and yourself along the map as much as your movement points per turn allow. If your Servant is next to an enemy Servant or Master, you can use movement points to attack them, which triggers a battle.
Battles are generally 1 vs. 1 with each party having a turn to act for each party member. If you have your Servant attack an enemy Servant with another enemy Servant next to them, it'll be a 1 vs. 2. If your Servant attacks while having an allied Servant next to them who's in position to attack, it'll be a 2 vs. 1.
ST Servants like Bond CE Herk are busted for this, but depending on the situation AOE Servants and supports can be equally valuable. It's a versatile game mode with plenty of options for fun.]

That sounds like it just exacerbates the usual FGO problem of "do you have enough Servants in stock?" except now it's "do you have the right Servants in stock?"

But hey, at least it's not another "here's your fight nodes, here's a bunch of CQ's, have fun!" affair.

Yes, the massive style points of punching the enemy Master with your own Master. And IIRC this is the Grail Front edition where this is the most doable.

Tried rolling for CEs (Hell's Kitchen and especially that teacher Scathach one). Wound up with actual Scathach instead. My SSR Lancer collection grows. (seriously, I think I'm only missing Lartoria and Bra at this point).

One thing I don't think anyone has said was that Cat somehow snuck-up on Scathach while she slept to replace one skin tight outfit for another and never woke her up. If Cat can do that to a Warrior Scathach she maybe better fit as an assassin. I know it is a joke but if you do think of it that way it makes the thought of a Tama Assassin even scarier.

I can see how this becomes so well liked. Just toss in new maps and new servant combinations and boom, infinite variability.

I'm getting a real Pagoda vibe too, with the game basically telling you to put away your SSRs with their 50% batteries and multiple effects on single skills. Time to dig out the old crew.
