IIRC from a recent interview, Grail Fronts take way more work than other events to make. They have a dedicated team separate from the rest that works only on them, or something.

I think I remember reading that the Grail Fronts system may be used for multiplayer in the future though I don't remember the source so I could be remembering wrong.

The need to turn a single player game into one that can sync two versions of itself up feels like a huge step for little actual gain.


Most games that have that kind of system are built with it from inception, not bolted on 7 years after the fact.

I can see how this becomes so well liked. Just toss in new maps and new servant combinations and boom, infinite variability.

I'm getting a real Pagoda vibe too, with the game basically telling you to put away your SSRs with their 50% batteries and multiple effects on single skills. Time to dig out the old crew.

Yeah, the low cost is basically one big "leave your SSRs at the door" sign. Can barely even fit 4* with CE's.

CEs are what you should deprioritize, not SSRs

I ran everyone CE-less, yes (more because of a lack of sufficiently raised 4*'s than anything else) but even then 2 SSRs only left room for a 1* and a 3* in the other spots.

That is undoubtedly the intention (that you have to create a more balanced party)

But remember, you don't have to fill every slot, and in fact, in this early version of Grail Front, doing so might simply be stupid.

Investing heavily into one big unit (give them a strong CE) and letting them use most of your actions actually tends to be the best strategy IIRC.

The BB one I actually found team-strategies far more reliable.

Herk, Astraea, and Kama pretty much solved every fight I was able to bring them to. If I brought anyone else, it was mostly to make it easier to pick up the goodies on the map.

I've been using Chu Alter with a burst up CE. One Burst chain cleasr the HP and he has evade and guts to survive other attacks.

Today I brought in Jeanne D'Edge, Cu Krillin and good olde CA Hassan.
Those two supports took out the ones they had advantage over. I slipped Cu in to poke Muniere, but he got surrounded. He lived though, I pulled him out.
Jeanne went in and rolled all the other servants.

Oh. And nowt on rolls. But I did get five copies of the CE without expending my FP budget.

Future maps are gonna have mats and stuff, though. These are just temporary buffs.

Today was more interesting. As I fielded CAHassan, I ended up doing a non optimal FSN reunion. Seiba went down, got slapped around a lot by Hundred Faces, but won in the end first try.

Now to try more optimised team.

It's a shame these sound like a pain to do. Wonder if doing replayable free node versions would be a good investment. Either simulator scenario upgrades or modelled off the big battles in the FGO story?
