Given that it's a TV version, should I also assume that certain scenes from the movies will not be there, or is it airing on ATX or a similar channel?

Damn, Pop Team Epic's mecha sequence was apparently done by Obari himself. You can tell, that's for sure.

Holy shit Maid Wars. Easily the best thing this season so far. But also the most difficult to describe? Like just calling it a mob story with cute girls fails to express the sensation of the Moon Rabbit assault. I did get a kick out of them chopping of pigtails instead of fingers.

Emminence in Shadow has much the same problem as the Alchemy show, where all episode 1 was set up so I don't know what's happening with the show. I'll give it another episode only because I've heard good things from the people who read the source, but that looks like a harem of unwieldy proportions off the bat.

Bibliophile Princess: This feels like a show where everything important is happening offscreen,. That's great for comedies but not dramas.

Blue Lock: This is hilarious after a watching a full 24 episode season of AoAshi. "Fuck the team, got mine". But it feels like it wants to be serious when it's going "look! isn't the wrong way to play sports so cool?!".

Bocchi The Rock: Pretty fun all around.

Man, I always love it when the animation team put up art on social media in regarding to the episode that airs that particular week. This piece specifically is giving me major "Little Shop of Horrors" vibes.

Digimon Ghost Game episode 46: Man, it must suck to be Kotaro since these days he only exists to be either the butt of jokes or the victim of the week. This episode was alright, even if it was a bit of a retread of the Ajatarmon one in that we have a plant based Digimon hounding a young man to do...questionable things with him. But GG has once again blessed us with another brand new Digimon and I couldn't stop snickering whenever they said her name as all I could think of was "Oils of Olay". I did think when Angoramon mentioned it might not be a Digimon because they couldn't see it, it would have been an interesting angle since the show is called "Ghost Game" after all. I did get a little annoyed when the gang let Ruli go off along to the girls' locker room, like at least send Jellymon with her or something. Angoramon pulling a Bugs Bunny and convincing Oleamon to untie him to show her how to prepare the hostages as food was a little silly but its whatever. Oleamon being a Perfect yet the heroes staying in their Adult forms was a bit weird but at least they out-thunk her to win rather than though brute force. Lastly, them just letting the Digimon of the week go was a bit egregious this time since they didn't really address the fact that Oleamon was casually going to eat people and the only reason she stopped was because they gang told her they *might* not be as tasty as she thinks.

Judging by who the Digimon of the week appears to be in the next time preview, I wonder if this is it for the newly revealed Digimon.

I forget her name, but what about the Pen Pal girl from Victory? The one who organizes the infamous Bikini Assault? Was she the Char of that show? Or is 'Jerid Messa" a separate category?

The Char Clone of Victory was Cronicle Asher since he was the one who fit all the categories: Wore a mask, piloted a red suit and had a secret female relative among the protagonist's group.

Spy x Family: banger episode, walked the line between serious/dark and light/funny perfectly. Managed to make me laugh hysterically and clutched at my heartstrings five minutes later without it being jarring. Props to Anya's VA as well, she carried this episode on her back and her tone and inflections made all of the Anya antics hit twice as hard as they needed.
I also watched Bleach but since it's technically not out yet I'll post my thoughts tomorrow.

Welp, the new anime guys clearly don't know what a Getsuga Tenshou is and that's going to bother for 51 episodes to come.

Getsuga Tenshou is an oversized projectile slash. It's easy to forget because Kubo gradually turns it into just a giant blotch of ink on the page, but Getsuga Tenshou is, by definition, a cut.


Except in the new anime, it became a generic explosion. The second time was passable because Ebern was properly hit with the flying black slash before the blast, but the first time Ichigo just caused a generic explosion out of nowhere without even swinging the blade. That's not Getsuga Tenshou, no matter how much Ichigo says it is.
