Eh I read the manga it just fsn but more on a epic scale. I can see why JP fans backed then really wanted strange fake to be animated. Now the question is it gonna be a 24 episode anime... and perhaps better than all the rest of the tv fate animes.

Your not a TYPE MOON fan if you don't even own a TM Merch or haven't fapped to a TM character.
I love the art style. There were a couple times where the animation didn't look quite right (Gil and Tine walking out of the cave, Jack as the woman cupping Flat's chin) but on the whole it looked fantastic.
The dub cast also sounded really good. Waver, Flat, Gil, and Enkidu all have their same actors from previous dubs. My only complaint is Gil and Enkidu didn't give their all in the Enuma Elish shout but besides that one line I have no problems. Might watch the series dubbed, tbh.
Francesca was the highlight for me, in the energy of both her animation and performance.
Gray spotted!

One of the best things about the Fate series is that it often spits on any "magic must defeat magic" notions, where proud mages die by gunfire.
Teaser for the series has some new footage, including Hansa and Sigma.
Also Bazdilot it seems
Hansa casually eating Jolokia.
Barring her boobs being on the bigger side, Prelati really hits all the lolibaba amoral gremlin marks.
55 minutes.
Exactly what I expected tbh. A few cuts here and there, the one I'm most miffed about is Tsubaki's parents. Like, they're the filth of the Earth, but here at most you can say they're dismisive. Still bad but jeez, this weak sauce in comparison.
I liked the style of animation they went with, it feels very unique and gives this a visual identity of its own. Soundtrack was on point, very nice.
Also LOL at Ayaka and Saber getting like one line each, only in the post credit scene no less, and getting top billing in the credits anyway.
As expected, some parts feel kinda rushed, but at the same time it felt like it was longer than an hour, I guess because of how dense it is.
Didn't like the music during the Enuma Elish, I guess they wanted to make it feel "american" but... it really didn't do it for me.
Lmao at Saber and Ayaka only having a couple of lines. Not unexpected, but not reaching the scene with the police after using it as a poster/promotional image is certainly a decision.
The music in Enuma Elish was alright though not as good as FakeIt. The music in Dumas' scene is what really distracted me.

Was Alcatraz's voice actor the same as Mr Cellphone in Carnival Phantasm, or was he recast? (The Japanese voice I mean)
Still Kishio Daisuke as always.
Let's see...
Archer Prologue: Gil's original Master's backstory got cut.
Lancer Prologue: The wolf chase scene and summoning felt too rushed (because they welded this section together with the Gil fight)
Caster Prologue: This is the only one that got basically everything and even some more.
Rider Prologue: Pale Rider's intro cut. Tsubaki home alone scene scrapped. The hospital scene scrapped. This is the most rushed part.
Assassin Prologue: Assassin's entire backstory cut. The singing Zabaniya cut.
Berserker Prologue: The context behind Jack's catalyst cut.

Yeah, quite a lot of things got cut actually...
Waver summarized that it was a toy from a sweepstakes ticket he won, but I think not having a narrator didn't do it any favors. Because there are things that flowed super well in the book because of that overarching voice rather than having the characters explain everything.
EDIT:
A few more comments because I watched it with my mom (bless her heart). I do not think this was exactly friendly to people just getting into Fate. There was a lot of awkward exposition that has absolutely no meaning to anyone...and like heck, even to the layperson (like my mom who...doesn't know a lot about history or fate) there was no introduction to who Gil & Enkidu were. It was hard to tell they were friends even without like /already/ knowing that being a history buff/fate fan. And this kind of goes to the other teams (bar Flat & Jack & the cops) where you don't really get much of a feel about who they are etc. I think Fate Zero first epi was much more user friendly in this regard by focusing on the masters and their desires.
If this was an ideal world, I think every team should have gotten a fat chunk of screentime (either an episode or half episode dedicated to them) like how they did in the books.
Gotta say though I absolutely loved Flat's country twang theme and the dove symbolism.
