They'll definitely keep it, there's no reason to reanimate volume 1. Just think of it like how Zero and UBW had 40 minute first episodes too.
Hopefully they just back up a little bit to show more of Ayaka instead of just immediately picking up where the OVA left off.

remaking the first episode wouldn't mean having to redo everything. If anything the parts with questionible animation probolly need to be redone.
They're not redoing the prologue please be serious
I guess they could split the OVA into episodes and add a few missing scenes but even that is super unlikely.
