Releases Summer 2023 (uncertain still if this will just be the finalized OVA or something more).
I wish they'd be specific because what kind of snag did they hit that would result in a 2 cour delay?
If I had to make a (semi-copium) guess, I'd say that after showing the full OVA today, they would announce the full series for summer 2023 regardless. But now, instead, since they couldn't even show the OVA, they just showed what they could and said "look forward to summer 2023", as in, we're totally getting a full series now.

It could be that rather than an OVA, it will be aired as a proper Episode 1. This is my copium.
It could be that they planned a full show to be released a certain amount of time after the special and it's the show that had issues and they had to delay the special to make everything match. Probably a result of needing to find new timeslots for the full show, too. Timeslots are bought in advance and getting new timeslots in case of major delays like that can be hard and result in more delay than stricly needed
