What better way to preserve the Human Order than to make it reign supreme and dictate the rules?
I could see it if Daybit's goal was destroy the will of the planet, but the CG just straight up shows the destruction of half of Earth. It could be a case of the CG just being false as Daybit didn't really say anything directly proving it, but that would be an even cheaper fakeout than the Chaldea crew death CG imo.

I guess Daybit did say we'd need a space suit at some point. Destroying the world but keeping humanity alive and shoving them into space would be pretty wild. But then why would Daybit call himself an enemy of Humanity?

It's often shown that a third party have their own agenda over the Lostbelt, regardless who the King is, and so their actions are more apparent than its King unless they act themself to deal with them. In this case, Kukulkan's approach is more discreet by infiltrating the Ocelomeh and bidding her time to strike them down.

I think it's been fairly established that Gyakkou is sung from Olga's perspective since like, several years back, but... the lyrics make so much more sense now that we see what's going on with the Priestess and Olga in this chapter (and it's part of the reason why I'm convinced the Priestess is Olga).

So here's a translation, because why not...

I was so melancholic; whenever I woke up, the same ceiling would be there.
'This is reality' it would remind me. There is no way out from here.

How do I put an end to this story in which neither destruction nor completion will ever come?
Since my destiny is set in stone,
I had vowed to never imagine the future I couldn't choose, and yet...

On the verge of slumber, I have a gentle dream, and though I know it's an illusion,
I run up to you, and right as our fingers are about to touch,
I wake up, a smile lingering on my lips.

I actually don't know what I want, even though I'm so famished.
If I stay still, I'll become trapped in the past, so I have no choice but to go forward.

'People are all born equal' is not something I am innocent enough to say so lightly.
'The pain will only be for a moment; you'll soon get used to it'
It's far easier when you are told straight up like that.

At the brink of despair, I shout the name of the person I miss, and like distant thunder,
I hope it reaches you and only you, who are still fighting on the other side of the storms.

Break the silence; cross over the barrier, towards the all-too-bright other side, run!
Through the cleansing rain and the muddied road, with the light to your back*name of the song: Gyakkou (backlighting)*, and the mud all over you!
    Here I am.

I run up to you, and right as our fingers are about to touch, there is the future I wanted to choose.
At the brink of despair, I shout the name of the person I miss, and like distant thunder,
I hope it reaches you and only you, who are still fighting on the other side of the storms.

Reading it from that perspective, I genuinely almost cry.
What do you mean by the Priestess? She's just been watching silently as always.

    Oh, c'mon.

She only shows up to watch scenes where (you), Mash and U-Olga get along. This is the future that wasn't chosen.

Wasn't chosen? That's absurd. She never had a choice to begin with. And if the Priestess isn't Olga, then what does that make U-Olga?

Who can say? (tbf, that part of the lyrics could be both 'the future that wasn't chosen' and 'the future I didn't choose', so perhaps the former is more accurate, not sure until we see what actually goes on)

All of the evidence we had thus far? Or do you suggest she could have magically foreseen that Lev's bomb was planted beneath her feet? Or that if Guda and Mash had pulled her away from. CHALDEAS her soul wouldn't have disintegrated anyway?

Holy shit, please get a grip. There is more to Olga than that.

I'm just saying, how else could she have chosen a different future? In her specific situation, events could not have turned out any other way.

Well, many possibilities, but the biggest one in my mind is not trusting her father to turn her into an observer for CHALDEAS. Also, see the rest of my post about 選びなかった未来を

But Petri said they think Priestess is Olga though?

That was a typo. I meant to say that if she is Olga, then who's U-Olga?

They've repeatedly been called out as being essentially the same being (by Kirschtaria, Koyan and Pepe). The fact that both are Olga is actually a point in favor for this theory. You could read my 25k word long theory about it, I suppose. Otherwise you'll just have to take my word for it.

That type of thing would require literal omniscience for her to choose differently, especially since she was a young girl with no reason to distrust her beloved father. Honestly, we don't even know if she could have even chosen to defy him: for all we know she was literally born as an observer or whatever, or would have been forced into it if she refused.

I feel like the evidence for Priestess = Olga now is so overwhelming, I'm not even sure it's possible to be wrong, tbh.

Actually, that's probably a bit too cocky, lol. But it's very convincing!!

Running theory is that they're both Olga, and they're part of her that are separated. The popular belief is that Priestess is Olga's soul who was ejected out of her body, who is now U-Olga.

Koyan even refer to Priestess as U-chan at some point. We'll see if there will be follow-up to that.

Pepe is the one who refers to her as that, actually. (Near the end of LB4)

Sorry, bad habit of correcting things when I see them...

Yes, if Olga was just an ordinary young girl. I'm hoping once she ever be more independent, she might be able to do something about it somehow (within her 'power').

Ah right. Thanks for the correction though, otherwise I would keep expecting something between them.
