Without thinking too hard on it, my gut impression is that it implies that the majority of the surface is covered by or is something that they don't want to land on.
They are in the Amazon, it might just be trying to find somewhere open enough for a huge airship to land.

There is a lot of people saying Arcueid will appear in this lostbelt a part of me wants this to happen but another part of me thinks its a bad idea honestly
