Seems like the combat is fluid and satisfying enough when it's 1 vs 1 against human-sized bosses, but with everything else it falls flat; i.e. musou style battle against unresponsive army of mooks or boss fights against giant enemies with painfully slow movements and limited animations.

It's one of the endings, where

Iori chose not to destroy the Grail, and instead keep it for himself. He realized that deep inside, underneath all the peaceful path he vowed to follow, he ultimately yearns for mastering swordsmanship, the way male Musashi taught him, and life of peace is nothing more than a hindrance to that end. So with the Grail in hand, he sought carnage born from people vying for it; warriors, mages, even murderers, all kind of fighters to seek it out, so that he can fight and fight some more, peace be damned. Takeru naturally disagreed, and they fought, with Takeru killing Iori, and they disappear afterward after destroying the Grail, leaving Iori's body for Kaya to find.
