All right... its been a little less than 24 hours and... Nothing! Nobody's gotten anywhere?!? How disappointing! I know this is the first one of these many of you will have seen since this isn't really a cracking/puzzle/decryption oriented forum but... still!

Anyway, I suppose I will give you guys a few hints...

-First one is a barcode (duh). Analyze it!

-Next two have to do with number bases. Decode them!

-Next two have to do with shift ciphers. Decode them!

-Next one is in morse code (duh). Decode it!

-Next one is a transformation cipher. Decode it!

-Next one utilizes polyalphabetic substitution. Decode it!

-Now we have a fun one. This one has a hidden message within the image that was encoded with steganography. Find it!

-Last two are password hashes. Crack them!

Get to work, BL! You can do it!

I had a good idea of what techniques to use for most of these (especially the steganography, to the point where you'd have stymied me if you'd just hidden some morse code in a corner or something lol) even without the hints, but what this all boils down to is: why bother?
At least try to hype it up before dropping it here.

Well I mean... this wasn't really meant to be hard. I'm new to the forum, and was just seeing if I could find some interesting people I could get to know. I'm not super involved here, only coming by in my spare time, so trying to hype up a challenge like this (esp coming from an unknown like myself) would probably be more trouble than it would be worth.

I feel like establishing a completely unadvertised scavenger hunt in the one of the most silent subforums - the one specifically for aimless miscellany - is not strictly the optimum friend-hunting strat. Sitewide party games generally tend to work better when you have enough existing goodwill that people are already interested in what your brain does.

On the contrary, I'd perhaps recommend finding a few actual topics to settle in and integrate naturally like the rest of us. Since you're writing a fanfic about canonical FGO characters, it seems like FGO General is the obvious go-to, but the Fanfic General might also be up your street.

Don't take this as me telling you to pack it up, of course. Scavengerise away, by all means. I'm only opining on the efficacy of this as your Hello World.
