The title says it all. Feel free to dump your Type Moon OC's and custom Masters here; not limited to mages, but also vampires, priests, psychics and everything non-Servant.

Here's a general outline/template of a magus sheet to get things started. It was made by You mostly by looking at what people put out on the previous Create-A-Magus thread as categories and then consolidating it. If you have your own template and want to use that, that's fine. But I think this covers most bases.

Appearance: A tall, slender but well-muscled young woman with crimson hair down to her waist, nearly porcelain skin and wide blue eyes. Wears a modified nun's habit cut with a slit up to her hip for ease of movement, knee-length combat boots and fingerless gloves with cross designs emblazoned over the back of each hand.

History: Claira grew up in a remote village in the Italian mountainside. While poor, she had a loving family and enjoyed tousling with the local boys. However, all that was mercilessly taken from her. When Claira was 14 years old a Dead Apostle attacked her town, perceiving its isolation from the modern-world as easy-pickings. The inhabitants were turned into ghouls and Claira herself took shelter in the village church. They found her there and attacked however the shock of her ordeal manifested Claira's Origin of "Consecration". When the ghouls tried to bite her they were burned away by her sanctity. Driven by hunger, they continually sank their claws and fangs into her even as their flesh and blood immolated.

When days later the Burial Agency arrived to clean up the mess, they were stunned by the scene of a mere young girl huddled amidst piles of ash from countless ghouls, covered in bite-marks yet utterly refusing to turn. Seeing potential in her they took Claira away to become an Agent.

Personality: An earnest, straightforward person. However she's clumsy outside battle and weak in matters of love. Claira has a complex about her overwhelming strength due to how it makes everyday tasks difficult, like shattering a teacup when trying to lightly grip it. For that reason she takes to fine hobbies like sewing and gardening in an attempt to practice regulating herself. Claira bears a deep hatred for Dead Apostles from the trauma of having to purify her friends and family after they became ghouls, and will try to mercilessly kill any she sees, not listening to any explanation over their circumstances. However when it comes to those who were forcefully turned, Claira will still recognize they have to be destroyed but endeavor to grant them the gentlest death possible out of compassion. Her goal is to hunt down and kill the Dead Apostle that massacred her village.

Magecraft:

Christos Cosmos: Claira's Origin that manifested when she was the sole survivor of a vampire-attack on her village. Drawing from the Biblical verse "the body is a temple to God" this passively consecrates Claira's whole body into a "Walking Church". Any "impurities" that would violate her sacrosanctity such as poisons, curses, mental interference and even vampirism are forcibly repelled. Furthermore all her physical strikes count as sacraments allowing them to sublimate unholy beings.

Familiars/Mystic Codes:

Zadkiel & Raguel: Dual rapid-fire crossbows Claira wields single-handed. While their bolts have no special properties the crossbows themselves are woven with Christ's miracle of multiplying the loaves and fishes to avoid having to run out of ammo in the middle of combat.

Benedictus Maledictum: A special crossbow-bolt with a head created from one of Claira's powdered ribs and thereby carrying her Origin of "Consecration". Shooting a human target grants them the constitution of a living saint, temporarily sharing some of the effects of her Christos Cosmos (purifying the body of maladies and even removing vampirism if they'd yet to fully turn). Albeit this is balanced by still needing to be shot by an otherwise ordinary crossbow-bolt, meaning there's few who'd willingly request this "boon".

Its true effectiveness is instead upon piercing unholy beings (such as demons and vampires), wherein the contradiction of an unholy entity being sanctified induces them to violently self-destruct. The victim's flesh becomes that of Christ and all the blood in their body Holy Water, burning them from the inside-out. This can be somewhat likened to the phenomenon of autoimmune rejection, where the body recognizes its own tissue as foreign and attacks it. While theoretically a mercy that allows Dead Apostles to die free of their cursed condition, it inflicts a rapid but excruciating demise befitting Claira's hatred of them.

Magdalena Shroud: A gift from one of Claira's friends in the Burial Agency. A holy shroud woven from the hairs of the Virgin Mary, retailored into a nun's habit. A relic conferring divine protection comparable to a Kevlar vest (resisting bullets or blades for the parts of her body covered) and Magic Resistance at rank C against heretical spells. Despite its innumerable practical applications, this was actually lent to Claira just so she wouldn't have to fear tearing her own outfits from her immense physical strength.

Non-Magecraft Abilities:

Jacob's Limbs: An ancient martial-arts style invented by Jacob, founder of Israel who used it to wrestle the angel sent upon him by the Lord. It was passed down through Moses, Saint Martha and eventually Claira herself, who picked up this fighting-style to compliment her immense physical strength. In tandem with her Christos Cosmos this allows Claira to exorcise evil spirits and pulverize undead through her body alone, without need of scripture or ceremony.

Marksmanship: An ability representing all-round shooting techniques, which includes quick drawing and trick shooting by means of small arms. Claira is a decent enough shot to wield her crossbows, although it isn't her main proficiency.

So in honor of the new thread here's a Magus. This might look inspired by Random's Kyriake but as I commented on that sheet I'd had the idea for a while before. Have a few others I might write up sometime if the impetus strikes. As usual comments and critiques would be welcome. Thanks for reading y'all!

The awakenimg of her origin makes me question how the origin actually awakens. And it does not appear that she becomes a slave to it either, at least that is what i thought would happen if one awakens.

Another general question that popped up in my head is: she uses her powdered ribs as weapons due to them vöcarring her origin outside the body. If she were to receive a rib transplant or any other, would the origin carry over to the new body part? Like some kind of manufactory?

Else that is a fine sheet as far as Im concerned

To be "enslaved to one's Origin" is (as far as I understand, maybe Random can help shed a bit more light on it) not quite what you might think. What it means is that once your Origin is awakened, you cannot deviate from the path it sets out for you. If a person's Origin is "Consecration," their very being becomes inherently purifying. They can't "turn off" that presence, and they would never voluntarily disengage from a situation in which a consecration is deemed necessary.

It's easiest to explain with Void Shiki even though she's kind of a bad example. If the Ryougi didn't manifest multiple personalities, Void Shiki would just be an indifferent, nigh-omniscient observer with no interest in affecting the material world because that's the connotation of the word in a Buddhist sense, to be apart from the concerns of the material and temporal/transient.

It means becoming the "truest" version of yourself but takes away your choice to reject or change your nature.

Another general question that popped up in my head is: she uses her powdered ribs as weapons due to them vöcarring her origin outside the body. If she were to receive a rib transplant or any other, would the origin carry over to the new body part? Like some kind of manufactory?

We never get a canonical answer for this, but I would presume not. Natalia makes a big deal out of the fact that Kiritsugu's Origin Bullets (which were made out of powdered ribs she surgically extracted from him) are a finite resource, and while Zero was written before bone transplants were really a thing, given that the general Nasuverse vibes is that the body has a hard time accepting things that are foreign to it, which is why Magic Crests are so finicky with what heirs it will accept, I would assume that the new ribs would be inert for the purpose of making new Mystic Codes.

Background

A former researcher of robotics at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California Institute of Technology — a third-rate New Ager magus from a nondescript family with very little magical capabilities. Nonetheless, one thing that distinguishes Charlotte from the rest of her peers was her vehement support of human experimentation in her field, specifically self-experimentation. To this end, Ms. Charlotte often volunteered for the use of dangerous untested cybernetic devices on her own body, becoming the resident lab rat of the JPL.

She is an initiate of a certain Occult Commission within the JPL which operates under the United States federal government. Founded by Jack Parsons, an infamous magus who was among the foremost disciples of Aleister Crowley, they are closely affiliated with the O.T.O branch of the Thelema, one of the major factions in the recent development of Modern Magecraft.

Being aware of Charlotte’s somewhat enthusiastic willingness to be experimented upon, the Occult Commission has successfully performed a series of experiments on her, ultimately transplanting an Atomic Horus Engine Mystic Code to replace her organic heart, forming a Pseudo-Magical Reactor. This success leads to further experimentations, often due to her own initiatives, with the goal of replacing more of her body parts with Cybernetic Mystic Codes.

Her frighteningly rapid transformation earns Charlotte reverence from other Thelemite mages, leading her to be ultimately chosen as the head priestess of the Occult Commision, and a grand ritual called Babalon Working was performed on her. Thus, Charlotte was successfully induced as the 3rd Moonchild of Thelema. Details of what this title entails is largely classified, but a rumour circulated it has to do with NASA’s long term plan to create an artificial Brain of the Planet to be transported to the Moon in a far future.

For the sake of both safeguarding and cost saving, at one point the Occult Commission had to hand Charlotte over to study independently at the Clock Tower, along with a few personal overseers. As of joining the Department of Creation, with the exception of her brain, it is said that 120% of her body is artificial, consisting of cybernetic modifications, extensions and replacements, both mechanical and magical, which she regularly upgrades every few months.

She currently runs some sort of underground clinic for mages to obtain “hardware upgrades”, disguised as an industrial robot production facility, where all sorts of horrifyingly unethical operations even by magus standard regularly take place.

Some thought the fact that Ms. Charlotte is so willing to be subjected to countless human experimentations and be fitted with strange devices to be a symptom of extreme masochism. However this is not so, as in fact she is born with a peculiar condition called Congenital Analgesia, the total incapability to feel physical pain.

Her fascination with cybernetic self-modification is because she has come to regard her body like a blank canvas, or block of marble, a medium upon which a piece of art can be carved from — To create a Galatea out of her own body. It is for this reason that she was accepted into the Clock Tower’s Department of Creation despite her un-magelike upbringing and Thelemic affiliation.

Magecraft

O.T.O Oriflamme Protocol
A simple but extremely powerful Reinforcement-type of magecraft developed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory branch of the Thelema. It is a borderline heretical doctrine that draws upon rocket science and quantum physics as a Magical Foundation. It is capable of transforming any piece of technology one is using into a Pseudo-Perpetual Engine that is attuned to the True Will of Origin within all human beings, invoking the Primacy of Mankind built upon the Anthropocene.

Due to its recency and the fundamentally abysmal level of Mystery involved, it is a magecraft that can only be applied to mechanical constructs and requires quite a hefty cost of resources to even be performed. Fortunately for Ms. Charlotte, she is 120% machine, and the effect of this magecraft can be applied to all 79 Cybernetic Mystic Codes that form her organs.

In effect, this magecraft allows Charlotte to supercharge the functions of her organs as if it’s being powered by a jet engine. It is also capable of creating an artificial function which her organ normally shouldn’t possess, by running a pre-built code and activating it with mana.

Through this magecraft, it is possible for Ms. Charlotte to operate as an all-purpose one-woman factory that can achieve just about anything that an assembly of industrial robots can.

Your Origin is an impulse, emanated from the Root. As it travels, it resonates with and gathers that which is compatible with it to eventually form your soul. In other words, your soul is assembled with spiritrons that are already "coloured" by that which becomes your Origin. This is what is meant by "past lives" in the context of reincarnation: the souls of the dead return to the Root to be broken down and recycled, and that material can be reused within you if it's compatible with the je-ne-sais-quoi de la proto-toi.

How much time in any given past life has accumulated within the sphere of that concept? How many past lives are there? The answer is ultimately incalculable, but I promise you one thing: it's a damn sight more than a single human lifespan that hasn't even ended yet. When you awaken to your Origin, it's sort of like hitting the resonant frequency of every particle in your soul. You can't really defy your Origin regardless of whether you've awakened to it or not, but your personality isn't necessarily set in stone so much as grounded by it. But something as feeble as a self-identity doesn't stand a chance against the sheer mass of the Origin, and essentially your entire existence is consumed by it in both mind and body.

Of course, while it means that you're becoming who you really are, this isn't always a good thing, especially for a mode of society that is designed with the premise of communication in mind. The ultimate form of individuation is not strictly compatible with a way of living that's based on the existence of other people, so you usually end up becoming a monster in that context.

Yeah, that's a much more in-depth explanation that gets at what I was trying to say. I think of it as attaining a form of enlightenment in a Buddhist sense - your "personhood" ceases to matter because you are no longer really a person. You are a not-self taking a particular shape dictated by your Origin.

Background

An oddball member of an old family of mages. Sigurd was born with one goal in mind: to become Odin. What this actually meant when she proclaimed this to her family was unknown, but she left them shortly afterwards to explore the world and fulfill her quest.

She was then seen in all parts of the world, trying to do some form of thing to finish her mission, collecting artifacts, going through trials, etc. She has currently gone to the Clock Tower to work on their knowledge of curses and lore, trying to find Gungnir.

Sigurd has an extremely blunt, dedicated personality. If you aren’t in some way important to her quest, then she will just ignore you. Getting angry at this or continuing to bother her will not end well with you.

She also has her “Odin” persona where she tries to act like a mocking trickster, but she’s not good at that and instead focuses on being a noble warrior.

Additionally, due to her magecraft, she is extremely comfortable around blood and gore and sees lives as a thing to spend, although she does find that morally disgusting to do.

Magecraft

A Raven’s Lament
An extremely odd magecraft that Sigurd has repurposed for her own odd obsession. Her family's Origin was the ritual of Moloch and stories of sacrifice in exchange for some supernatural effect. While they didn’t actually sacrifice children, they were able to exchange hearts and blood for some form of magical power. Sigurd’s version is instead that in exchange for performing the sacrifices of Odin, she can gain some degree of his power. The restriction is that using this is extremely difficult and any part of this ritual that grants her significant power must have a likelihood of fatality. She can also use this on enemies if she acquires their blood.

In exchange for one of her eyes (the other one is fake), she gained knowledge and a pseudo mystic eye allowing her to gain localized omniscience in an area.

In exchange for stabbing herself through the stomach and hanging herself for nine days (she only survived due to a massive amount of reinforcement magecraft and healing potions), she gained a powerful knowledge of runes that she mixes in blood to become even stronger.

She is currently looking for Gungnir, the Spear of Odin, to complete her quest to become him. What this actually means for her, or the world is unknown. In the meantime, she fights using an actual spear, a mid quality mystic code enforced with runes and reinforcement magecraft.

Hows this? Any advice?

I feel like you still could've fleshed out her background and motivation a lot more, because as of now it's a bit too ambiguous and somewhat silly. I like the Moloch twist on her magecraft tho lol

Thanks for the advice. On her backstory, I was trying to do a "this is what I'm doing" type of thing. Like she refuses to justify her own quest to anyone but herself as its her quest, not yours.

This is the kind of truly out-there stuff that I wouldn't personally ever think of coming up with, but I really like her. She feels like she walked right out of a cyberpunk story to provide a little sneak peek of the future, implied body horror and all.

Sigurd Sigorros

I know I also sometimes struggle with putting enough depth on a single sheet to give a really complete feeling of a character, but this sheet feels like it could have used maybe 500 more words at least to give the idea some gravitas and to lead up to the twist at the end. The whole point of setting up a wrinkle like that is to telegraph it early, if it just comes up briefly in a short paragraph before going back to discussing the way it plays out practically, it just feels kind of cheap.

Other than that, I'm not getting a lot of personality. I also think the Origin's kind of weak as a narrative hook (although I guess I can also be guilty of that.)

Ah, I can try to fix that. The origin was meant to be dedication on 2 levels:
1. She's absolutely dedicated to her mission
2. She dedicates death to things as part of her magecraft.

I guess I should just say the intent subversion, but with the name and the personality the sheet initially telegraphs a "hey this is going to be about Norse Magecraft" and then there's a kinda late reveal that it actually has nothing to do with Odin beyond Sigurd's obsessive quest and instead the foundation is contracting with Moloch. It's a cool idea, but I feel like there could've been more in the early parts to telegraph something being Fucked Up if you wanted to not have it feel disconnected.

Ah, I didn't really intend that to be a subversion but thats cool. I definitely think I could have focused on that and made it cooler if I added more to the sheet.

Also, once our collective magecraft power grows, we need to do a collab with Holy Schlock War

Kamera: what a weird sheet. Thelema and magecraft based on rocket science and quantum physics. The weird part is, it is a current mystery to the common public so some weird stuff might actually be possible, but still. strange, but the character itself is fun.

and your voice was heard. I actually do have an idea for a mage for a while now, but a whole other projects clings to it.
mage sheets are character driven and that is not my strong suit. Im working on a servant sheet rn, an old mage idea could be reactivated afterward because they are somewhat thematically related.
