See if I recall correctly my other land was a fetchland, and with ritual+manamorphose I only needed one mana to start going off. If I had sacrificed a fetch after brainstorm I could have shuffled my deck and then cast the second brainstorm to see three more cards.
I'd only played Modern Storm before so I'm still not used to playing around Brainstorm.
