Tbf, Lyco and Siriel have given away at least the broad strokes of their decks already, so it's not that big a deal. But if you haven't played them (or locked in your deck yet), there are some details and surprises in that discussion you probably shouldn't see.

There was a moment in my match against Lyco where one of those surprises very nearly got me too.

I'm not actually reading any of it. :P

But just from watching some YouTube videos of Legacy matches, it looks like the most important thing is the meta. Lots of plays where you have to call out just the right card to counter or discard or you lose instantly.

The thing about the Legacy deck types (rather than any specific meta) is that they don't tend to abruptly rise or fall or go rogue, adding/banning Delve cards to/from the land of Brainstorm aside. If you've got a working knowledge of the major decks, you're fairly able to predict what's coming, rather than it being a blind guess when you Therapy/Revoker a card.

(Though, given the comments we've all made, saying that anyone in this tourney has a secure understanding of Legacy would probably be a stretch).

I find it pretty cool, that as is everyone is playing a different kind of legacy deck. There are no mirror matchups.

TBH I shouldn't have read the Lyco reports because now I have a pretty clear idea of what he's running. So, in order to be fair,

    for Lyco (don't look mAc)
I'm playing Grixis Tezzerator. IMO the Maverick matchup of my list should be about even, depending on exactly what you run.

I wonder where Chrome Mox and Diamond are set, since all the other ones are known (+Opal in Mirrodin).

Chrome could be Kaladesh with the intrincate mechanical designs.

I'd almost say it's the same place, since the background architecture in both seems to like disembodied faces.

DRS, BBE and Goblin Charbelcher are the faces of Eternal Masters' boosters.
    [edit]
Nimble Mongoose and JTMS? Well those are quite interesting choices.
Gamble, Toxic Deluge, and so many more. Dang, WOTC.

Got stomped by Lyco game 1 (I think I casted zero spells in that one), came back with all of my hate to take game 2 and 3.

mAc is my only hope to beat Seika now >:-(

    Bad mAc, no cookie
I'm happy to say that I like the deck I chose. It's not my normal choice, but for the purposes of the format I think it suits me quite well.

Yes, excellent. Go, Lyco, my proxy.

Really, though, for all that I'm enjoying the table, I'd rather we sorted out any draws at the end with actual tiebreaker matches instead of obscure statistics. (Or just share honours, either way).

    no mAc :(
The array of hate I deployed in game 3 was a bit ridiculous indeed (Blood Moon, Ensnaring Bridge, The Abyss). Lyco never found a Forest and was stranded with a single Plains and a bunch of alternate art Mountains while I leisurely digged for an actual threat.

You know I'm totally in for the custom card creation.

    I'm playing Legacy.

    I swear.

(Sigarda and Siege Rhino were also my lethal attackers for each of their respective games).

    In which I dig frantically:

End of turn, activate SDT, finding another Top in the three. Put it on top.
    Draw Top 2.
Activate Top 1 again: my new card is a Windswept Heath. Put it on top.
Use Top 1 to draw Heath.
Play Heath and crack for a shuffle.
    Play Top 2.
Activate Top 2, finding a GSZ to put on top.
Use Top 2 to draw GSZ.
    GSZ for my answer.
