Let's see where the story goes for this collab. I don't have a lot of expectations due to previous FGO collabs with itself, but who knows, maybe they do end up with something interesting due to Tiamat being in it.

Since Tiamat is in a pre release banner, I have more optimism that we're going to get all the six exclusives. I don't care about any of them, but good for people who do.

However, I have less optimism about the event itself due to the Fuyuki clear requirement. This signals to me that the event isn't going to be major and story important like many people are hoping because those events tend to have high story requirements. Maybe, they're purposely having low story requirement for new players, like the Summer events, except self collabs are the last place to attract new players.

All 6 exclusives is definitely optimistic. But also, as far as Arcade is concerned, Olympus hasn't happened yet, so it doesn't really seem necessary to have a high story requirement.

By "more optimistic", I mean I think there's a tiny chance now as opposed to the negligible chance I thought before. All it needs now is to have another banner of SSR + SR in addition to the usual collab welfare and banner SSR + SR. Unlikely, but slightly less so if they're dedicating one banner to prerelease.

For the story lock, there's a large difference between very high(Olympus or later) and near nothing(Fuyuki) that this event is. I was expecting it to be in the middle somewhere(Babylonia or an early Lostbelt). If it's a Beast event, it's either going to be the easiest Beast ever gameplaywise or newbies are going to be dumpstered with difficulty.

I'm totally fine with this just being a rehash of Lillim Harlot, so long as we get a better justification for killing Beast IV/S than "Excalibur go brrrrrr".

I guess that makes sense. I'm still trying to wrap my head around where Arcade lines up with mobile in terms of how events progress.

Saber Muramasa's summoning isn't a big deal since he's a distinct entity from Alter Ego Muramasa, but Musashi's dialogue in that event places the tail end of Arcade's shenanigans before LB5, with it beginning at some point after Part 1. Kama's profile suggests her summoning and event are after Ooku. That's all fine and dandy, puts this right around LB4 which lines up with the LB3 spoilers.

But then there's Koyanskaya and Morgan and then I get confused if there's any coherence at all.

I think you're under the weird assumption that Musashi experiences time linearly. You gotta remember that she met Touko before going to 1639 Shimousa.

I assume that if they're going to do an Arcade event, they'll forcus on the parts of Arcade that are different from Mobile. Sita is the biggest one outside the whole Beast plot.

Also I'm biased, since I'd much rather finally get Sita into the game over a fourth version of Cu that I probably won't even use.

I mean, if Sita is gacha we can have both. I don't see them wasting Sita's already drawn and paid for art and not reusing all 3 ascensions for mobile. In the same way, I don't see them going through the effort of paying for more Setanta designs to make him a gacha and someone else the welfare. If someone else from Arcade is a welfare, they're pretty much throwing away 2 designs they paid for and locking them in Arcade for little reason, when they can just reuse Draco/Setanta, not have to adjust anything, call it a day, and everyone else is gacha.

Basically, if someone that isn't Setanta/Draco is the welfare, they're throwing away art and designs already made for no reason, and if they ever decide to add Setanta or Draco after the fact, unless they're welfare in some other event, then they have to make extra sprites and art for them. I can see it for Draco, being a beast, 5*, Nero and all that good bait, pretty easy to make regular SSR with return profits. But for Setanta? If he's not a welfare I find it hard to imagine they're gonna go through the effort to make that guy a regular servant. Specially when there's no reason to switch welfares around.

As you've mentioned before, they only lock tough and/or important events behind story completion, so the fact that this event is not locked behind Babylonia completion really makes me feel it's going to have nothing special. Like they will just use the whole Arcade thing to make an event about creating Arcade games to compete against Draco who is doing the same for evilz and Tiamat is just there to help us with mother power.

I really really hope I'm wrong.
