I think looks worse than KnK, Zero, and HF. I mean the character designs always look off compared all of to the other adaptations, the effects range from being mediocre to "fire.gif" levels of bad. I'm not saying its bad bad, but it doesn't live up to the hype in the same way that Ufotable's other shows do.
I don't really remember anything wrong with the animation, but Ufotable isn't known for their animation quality anyway.

I take issue with Ufotable's incorrigible habit of adding more lasers and explosions to every fight, but as a whole the show is somewhere around fine to above average as I recall. It has been a while. Honestly KnK is probably the one that's aged the worst, in my opinion; it seems they were still ironing out the kinks in the ufotable house style, and it didn't always come together. This bit from Movie 5 is probably the most egregieous example.

Wasn't it only Rin who was particularly egregarious, for ufotable UBW? Everyone else seemed mostly fine.
The only bad part was the weird noses.
That and how they choreographed the battles, but that's another issue.

Technically speaking, the community knows them for their animation, but not really. The truth is that it's their post-processing, lighting, and vfx that are highly praised. And let's be real, KyoAni has them beat on that front lately. When Ufotable's animation is better than your standard anime, it's usually because they got some legend to animate a fight scene (which doesn't happen that often.)
Honestly it mostly just bothers me that UBW and Demon Slayer get all of the praise when they're among the least impressive things Ufotable has put out since they upped their vfx game, to the point where shows like KnK and especially HF are mostly ignored.

Holy shit, I did not remember that much camera spinning. It is a good showcase of how Ufotable kind of suck at non-flashy fight scenes. Kirei vs Shirou is another example.
