HSR is the only Hoyo game I've every played and I'm still pretty new, so seeing all the criticism directed at it in comparison to the other games is pretty surprising to me since I've been enjoying Amphoreus so far. But since this is my first experience at the start of a patch for new planet that's to be expected. Even when I played Luofu and Penacony start to finish I could see the issues present.

I've read worse stories but honestly my issue so far is that it's got the potential to be more interesting than it actually is. I feel like the type of story it's trying to tell is being hindered by Hoyo's usual habits

With how the game's balance is going, the key is to roll Emanators, limited supports and anniversary units from now on to make sure they have longest shelf life.

Killing his summons will take out a lot of his HP, and how do you kill his summons fast? AOE. Acheron performs better vs the bug boss than Nikador, though, I could still 0 cycle that side while couldn't do it on Nikador side (need at least 1 eidolon on Jiaoqiu).

Honestly if you really want the UBW characters I'd save up ridiculous amounts. We have no idea if the collab gacha will rerun and if they do it could take a while. Meanwhile, everyone else is guaranteed to.

Assuming that the collab is half a year away, that's at least 4 more patches which each average 80+ free limited tickets. Worst case scenario you can guarantee two 5 stars characters on hard pity if you skip rolling for light cones with everything saved starting today.

For my part, I've started getting the monthly passes and plan on at least rolling for a future 3.X DPS character that uses memosprites for the Sunday that I already have. Then stay strong willed enough to save as much as possible until more information about the collab comes out to plan accordingly.

Hoyo never rerun banners of collabs outside of their own series (due to revenue sharing deal complications) so chance that they suddenly change it is low. Collab units are more or less marketing ploys to attract new players, so they have no real motivation to support collab units over their own after the collab is over. With the rate of powercreep atm, I'm afraid your new maxed out Seiba wouldn't last till the end of 3.x, especially if she's not fitting into a team archetype Hoyo pushing.

My Acheron team is too under invested to get a good cycle on the bugs, but my pretty much f2p friendly E0 Herta team can 1 cycle it. I need to get off the E0 Acheron trainwreck at this point, losing out on a DDD Harmony spot is just too much of a pain.

I rolled for Lingsha because Nuwa, back when the entire community was saying the free Gallagher was better, you think I'll fall prey to puny meta slave rolling?!

Hell, I probably won't even go for a single LC this year, in my eyes they're a waste unless I really, really like the character and want to keep using them past the Hoyoverse expiration date.

Just get Jiaoqiu ez solution. I've seen E0S1 Acheron zero cycle the Swarm bug with Jiaoqiu + SW + Sparkle.
