I tried to use Anaxa + herta on one side but I didn't have anyone good enough for the other side. Turns out it's somewhat of a waste to use anaxa with herta if you lack someone good for the other side for AS considering he shits on the entire game mode so badly.

It lasts for 40+ days so yes it will stay for 1 more week in 3.4

And don't get forced by them to roll. It is their shilling tactics to make you go for the latest chars when in reality meta will always shift back and forth. You don't even get more than 1 extra pull for clearing diff 4 in the first place.

Finished 3.3 story! That was really good.

Cipher's grand lie was foreshadowed right at the start of her section with Flame Reaver, but I still never saw it coming until the cutscene. Absolutely genius, and fantastically well done. Add the post-story time bubble scenes from Dusk Okhema, where Cipher asks Zagreus for help, and she more than proved her worth and pulled her weight, as a hero, playable character, and Chrysos Heir. The lie their world needed.

The ruined Okhema map only being accessible after you finish the story is a great touch btw, on top of the region you explored with Hyacine (Eye of Twilight, which has a fantastic overworld OST) there's a completely untouched area for you to explore at your own leisure, with plenty of easter eggs hidden within. It's been a WHILE since we had that! Plus all the Chrysos Heir phone texts, which are varying levels of tragic- lots to look through over the next few weeks.

Hyacine made me do a solid about-face; before this patch I was pretty indifferent but she also shone really well here. She wasn't a pacifist per se- she did use a weapon (of sorts) at the end, with that Coreflame-charged Kamehameha- but rather than any physical or magical skills it was her strength of will and determination to reach out, understand, and comfort those around her that let her win over Seliose's steeds, discover the truth of the Skyfolk, prove Seliose/Aquila wrong, and save the day.

And that's not even getting into the stuff with Lygus, the Scepter reveal, and Cyrene's appearance at the literal last minute of the update. I have a lot of suspicions about that, (and also HOW are we supposed to get full-power Phainon next patch???), but right now I agree with JP youtube- I'm pretty sure that was a separate time loop from the one we're currently in.

I'm still going to have to skip all the new characters and reruns this patch, because I want literally every new character next patch... but I'm sorely, deeply tempted now. Everyone delivered.

Phainon getting all 12 coreflames isn't that far-fetched given that I'm fairly certain he's the only Heir who isn't dead.

Anaxa killed himself by offering up Cerces's Coreflame, Aglaea was assassinated by Caenis, Cipher and Mydei were killed by the Flame Reaver, Hyacine fused herself with the Celestial Mural, and Castorice chose to stay behind in the netherworld.

Hysilens and Cerydra are both long dead, and Tribbie is either gone or down to her last body.

There are a couple of Heirs we don't know the identity of but odds are on they're dead too.

The catch is that you have to pull for the new meta units to go with them. Both Blade and Jingliu now want fatfuck, Sundae, Tribbie (you can cope with Luocha but fatfuck is simply too broken). Kafka will need Hysilens. The buff tax.

SW is the biggest winner out of the 4 because if she is ship the way she is buffed atm, she'll end up being another solid universal Nihility support dps like Cipher, in that they're not BiS in any of the current 3.x meta comps but they help 2.x units keep up.

Ugh, I'll try to go for fatfuck on the rerun. Lost the 50/50 for Anaxa and I'm low on tickets plus I rather spend the guarantee on Phainon. Got Tribbie and Castorice in the end to add a bit of Quantum to my team options, and I've been using Mydei+Castorice+Luocha+Tribbie for farming and SU since, pretty great. Even put the new healing set on Luocha the other day. My Gallagher is also fully build so for now I can cope without another healer unless they release the most insane boss for metaslaves that'll just be a nightmare for casual f2ps.

Still, they need to stop making hyper specific enemies and buffs to shill characters. It was always the case of shilling the newest dps, inflating their performance to bait metaslaves since the game's early days but it got quite out there with Firefly's puppets, then Pollux being literally the "have Castorice or u clear 10x slower" the boss atm is nasty. Funny tho, the buff they're using to max shill Phainon in beta atm ends up making Anaxa being absolutely ridiculous.

Opening the portal to the Vortex of Genesis for Phainon was gonna exhaust Tribbie of all that they have, and after Mydei's death, it cut quick to one of the dolls floating on the water.
Also, someone in the story who I can't remember right now who exactly, said that Hysilens and "The Mountain Dweller" didn't make it. The Mountain Dweller was probably Terravox whose name is spoiled in the new SU update (his card is a sleeping Droma). Plus Mountain Dweller is the name of Carthonus' people, so we get an idea of how he should look like.
Cerydra is the one I don't remember ever getting brought on the story so far but yeah she's most likely death at this point, who knows of what.
And the last CH has their name censored on the SU with their card being a jellyfish and that's all we know about them. I know about what the leaks said, but Hoyo is really trying to keep their name and everything secret.

There are quite a few foreshadowing of Bartholos' true identity even before 3.3 as well.

He sometimes let it slip that he's Zagreus when you do the time rewind minigame and last patch he was acting all suspicious about knowing things that only Zagreus would know. Also the fact that Zagreus always wanted to steal the Dawn Device. Cipher's death prophecy in the trailers about her commanding frozen time to flow again now we knew to be a reference to how her death would stop the stalling she did.

There was also a memory piece of Phainon talking to Aglaea previously about how she always return to her tailor shop during a specific time of the year waiting for someone but that person never returned, which now we knew to be Cipher and that Aglaea always hoped to see the cat again every year for the last 1000 years, as that's how they first met.

Both Hyacine's and Cipher's story also share the same theme of "lies can be more noble than the truth". So for once, the theme of both banners of the patch fit together quite nicely.
