Base on datamine and rumors, it seems all of the ones they've revealed atm are 5*. This game is really stingy on 4* chars but at least the new gen ones are actually quite strong.

4* no longer exists in HI3rd after part 2 started so lol. They made 2 at the beginning because of how different part 2 chars are designed then it's all 5*. But at least you now only need 4 chars to turn into 4 teams to play endgame than needing like 24 back then so there's that.
30/36 stars this time for MoC. Can't clear Stage 12 but it isn't worth it anyways.
Also did the new mission. I was wondering how they were going to handle Tingyun, but apparently they decided to skip all the interesting parts and went straight to treating her return like its normal except that she wants to kill god now. Sunday recognizing that Robin will be fine on her own and keeping their meeting short was pretty sweet.

The Tingyun stuff was super tacked-on and needed more time or its own quest. But it's so awkward that I suspect this was a force majeure kind of thing; they most likely did not have enough time to make two long quests especially when they need to have all hands on deck for Amphoreus. That said, I didn't hate it. It was okay. Just, again, awkward.
Also I expected to hate the event storyline this version, because I frankly despised the Wardance event, but I actually really liked it. This is the kind of thing the AE crew needed.
New AS season 2nd half is designed to shill dazzling ninja and big herta, but dazzling ronin and smol Herta works just fine. First half is all kind of weird with the buffs for DoT and...Seele? Or maybe the Quantum buff is for Jade who most likely going to get a rerun with big Herta.
Hoyo has the same problem with some of FGO chapters where they have to put certain number of characters to be present in a storyline to match their banner release, and it can cause rush storylines or stuffs that should be in a companion mission or continuance missions end up in the main story. It's the downside of trying to hype match everything.

God I wish we were allowed to pick which boss to fight first in AS. At the 4th difficulty I can comfortably clear Cocolia with 2600 points, but the Monkey robots are a lot more difficult. I feel like I could clear it if I were allowed to freely put together the right team, but it's just such a pain in the ass wasting 30 minutes poking Cocolia to death just to start over because the characters I wanted to use against the Monkey robots didn't work like I thought. It's stupid.

Do it again if you change your teams. The system is designed so that you can improve your score by retrying any of the bosses at any time (assuming you're still using the same teams, if you change then the whole scoreboard is wiped).
What is actually cringe about it to me is that it resets all the score even if you modify only 1 of your teams. Like if I want to keep the same team on one side but only edit the other side's team, there is no reason to reset the score I did with the other team that I don't change, it should only reset the score of the team that I tampered with.

THANK YOU. Now I can freely play around with my Serval/Gallagher/Clara/Trailblazer team without being forced to watch Cocolia attempt to end my run by freezing my team five attacks in a row.

The key to fighting that boss is inflicting as frequent aoe as possible to quickly trigger their mechanic in your favor and depleting their toughness. If you have strong harmony supports you can do Herta or even Serval hypercarry. Currently the Erudition benefiting the most from the buffs is Jing Yuan because it's his 2nd rerun and he just got a huge buff. But you don't have to get him.
Painful. It always comes down to not doing enough damage.

And not all units can handle all 3 modes decently enough. Back in 2.1 it was Acheron, then the powercreep requires you to upgrade her team with Jiaoqiu to catch up and eventually having to get her LC/eidolons. Firefly came out being able to handle MoC and AS because the break meta has just begun (in PF she is a Fire weakness enabler for Himeko and later Lingsha, otherwise she's just ok). Yunli can handle all modes decently (kinda like Acheron but trickier to handle) and Feixiao excels in MoC + AS. Looks like big Herta is going to crush PF while being decently great in MoC and AS (kinda like Black Swan when she first came out, she was so busted that she didn't even need Kafka for PF) and Aglaea will be focusing on MoC and AS. I'm going to assume the anniv unit (probably Castorice) will be like Acheron and Yunli, the "use me anywhere I'll clear even if I might not be the current best" type of characters.
So for those who are planning to roll on 3.0, I'd say big Herta has slightly better value and longevity than Aglaea.
So finally got my Sunday built enough (level 80, major traces at 7, A2-6 unlocked, two minors still locked and Sacerdos set with decent stats that I synthesized) to use him in the story aaand...I honestly enjoyed it. I largely blame my deposition to simply love a game's story when I love the characters and my Persona bias though, cause, once again, Sunday was just continuing his P55 Royal third semester vibes in this story quest, with how he's feeling after his choices in Penacony, not to mention just Wonweek practically being his Shadow, the childishness and sassyness and more he doesn't acknowledge are there. I just liked seeing Welt with him, then his good-bye with Robin, and his interactions with Wonweek. Happy to have him on the Express. The Tingyun side though... While I was fine with it, not bothered that it was obvious they had to tack it on to correspond with her release, interacting with her definitely made me wish they wrote her interactions with the crew during the Xianzhou arc better. I loved seeing the scene with her and Yukong, especially that flashback (i like parental figure-child interactions ok sue me), and I noticed I had more enjoyment talking to her now than I did in the Xianzhou, and I can only imagine how I'd feel were I more attached to her from "knowing about her" the first time around instead of now in 2.7. All of that happening though made me completely forgot the Herta bit they teased so I was surprised when that came in the end. Man I'm looking forward to Amphoreus...
Meanwhile, for endgame modes, first off, I completely forgot about Pela being a 4 star because I was surprised to get her traces leveled a lot quicker than expected thanks to needing less than 5 stars. So now she's mostly built. She still needs to be leveled to 80 (she's 75 as of this post), and I want to give her Lushaka with ERR rope but have to hold off until the planar bonuses next week. And now with her built...holy shit, she is a godsend. Not only did I get to three star Floor 11's Aventurine boss with a cycle to spare (at least I'm counting it cuz it was the MoC blessing that killed him and he was like at about 5% HP) thanks to her, but having her also made the Banana bosses much easier to deal with too. And this was all done while that Aventurine bug is still not yet fixed.
Also, holy crap, Acheron with that 70% Ult blessing and mechanics for AS is absolutely ridiculous. Just shreds about half of the Banana bosses' HP once they're broken.
Unfortunately for me, things aren't going so good in regards to DU. I can't tell if it's the bug, my bad luck, skill issues, or all of the above, but I've been trying to finish V6 so many times (with Feixiao-Topaz-Aven-Robin) and I've been failing miserably each time. I was hoping to do it without a guide since V5 went surprisingly well, but with the amount of fails for V6 compared to the failed runs for V5... Yeah, I'm just gonna cave and see if I can look at guides or something to get me through V6.
Anyways, gonna focus on finally levelling little Herta's traces now to see if I can beat the current PF before it changes...hopefully it goes faster than expected just like with Pela.
...the more time passes the more believable it becomes to me. and this quantum buff is just another to add to it.
...well i'm hoping to roll for castorice (hoping, as in, i might change my mind depending on her gameplay and/or character) because of the details we do have makes me hopeful i'll like her, so now i'm certainly hoping that, if i do like her, she'll be the anni unit so that she'll be acheron and yunli levels of good.

They could have done more with Welt tbh. The scene of him talking about a certain man from his homeland to Acheron back in 2.1 was referring to Kevin in HI3rd, but it also doubles as a foreshadowing for Sundae's big plan. Sundae is very similar to Kevin, but they have one key difference being that Sundae really believed that his plan was the only way, and he was ready to fight the Astral Express crew to prove his points. Kevin OTOH knew for a fact that his plan of trapping everyone inside a dream is flawed and unfair, but he had no other choice, he fought the main protagonists of HI3rd hoping that they can defeat him and come up with a better plan. Welt could have made some comments on that to tie it up nicely, because without follow up context majority of HSR-only players will be confused about that whole session Welt talked to Acheron. Basically I want it to go beyond just "yeah I left home in a hurry just like you I feel you dude".
Yukong is the parental figure of 3 characters at this point (her adoptive daughter, Tingyun and Feixiao). Maybe next time we meet her we'll find out there's another foxian orphan being in her care on another ship lol.The Tingyun side though...
And not only does she work for Acheron she works well with several other dps as well, such as big Herta, Dr.Ratio, Jingliu, Yunli...etc. So you made good investment out of her.And now with her built...holy shit, she is a godsend.
My E6 literally can kill that boss WITHOUT breaking it, that's how ridiculous her ceiling is when you got the comp going lol. I had to intentionally nerf her dmg to avoid overkilling by not targeting flowers and reducing buffs if I want to clear faster too. Also, holy crap, Acheron with that 70% Ult blessing and mechanics for AS is absolutely ridiculous. Just shreds about half of the Banana bosses' HP once they're broken.
Try using the Remembrance equations. Those are ridiculously powerful and the Dissociation dmg can make or break a run for you. Prioritize equations with any combinations of FUA + Remembrance + Preservation.Unfortunately for me, things aren't going so good in regards to DU. I can't tell if it's the bug, my bad luck, skill issues, or all of the above, but I've been trying to finish V6 so many times (with Feixiao-Topaz-Aven-Robin) and I've been failing miserably each time.
Took me 81 pity but I got Sundae. I'll try and see if I can also get his signature LC because that thing is Acheron's LC level of powerful. If I fail then that's fine, I'll just save till anniv.
...well that's a shame. Especially the "HSR only players will be confused" bit. While I wasn't nearly as confused, since I knew Welt was from HI3rd and so I presumed whatever he was talking about happened there, I did know the weight of what he said was lost to me because of the lack of context. So I can only imagine
Guess the best I can hope for are more Sunday and Welt interactions later that could lead to him explaining that.
HAHAHA, thank you cause YES. IT WORKED. V6 BEATEN BABY. HA!
Granted I got lucky and got a Space-Time Prism (aka the Eidolon+1 Cheese), a Ruan Mei III and in the end had both Heartless Giant and City Restorer...but still! I'll take the win! And leave it at there unless I'm bored since there's no rewards for doing V7 and V8. Speaking of that, got the last two ones, no equations and having 4096 cosmic fragments, that I hadn't done, the latter, funnily, achieved through a chance appearance of that jellyfish curio that gets rid of blessings for cosmic fragments. I never thought I'd ever click on that one on a run I wasn't specifically trying to complete the curio dex.
In other news...tried difficulty 4 of PF again aaaaand...yay! I managed 50k+! And I'm pretty sure that's the best I'm gonna get cause I got VERY lucky on the Yanqing side with nobody on the Acheron team getting frozen (and not to mention those stupid robots with invincible shields gaaaaaaaa—), and I freakin' used Topaz in the Feixiao team for the Bronya side because despite my several tries with Herta, using her (with Topaz's relics) just ends up going sideways cause I wouldn't get rid of the bugs fast enough, not to mention difficult SP management. ...hmm, now I'm wondering if Himiko would help... Eh, nah... I think I've had enough. Again, had really good luck on the Acheron side, so I doubt I can reach that high again before the reset.
