Hello all. This is a thread to come up with ideas on how to increase the popularity of BL and increase user activity.

Monthly banner contest: a way to draw in artsy people. A how-to post and a template would also be good to help folks get started

Melty Blood meetups: a not-so-competitive meetup for BL users to play Melty blood (and maybe some other games) together. Even if it just starts with two or three people, simply having something available could encourage people to participate and help users get to know each other

Waifu wars: an annual week of forum contests and activities. Participants form teams based on their favorite waifus and compete against each other for points. Prize would be a special waifu of the year slot on either side of the main BL banner

Naturally, putting this stuff together would probably take a bit of work. Still, could be fun.
