Preferring the dub isn't uncommon in this fandom so it's probably just that.

I always play the dubs if I can. Doesn't matter what series, I don't want to deal with the small untranslated barks that no one figured was worth it. Like remember when FGO didn't sub the boss death quotes? I've had RPGs do the same thing, and I think one of them was #FE.

Eh... fair enough. I prefer getting the original experience, or at least as much as possible with my limited Japanese. Dubs always, at minimum, rewrite the dialogue to make sense in English. I don't want to hear "elder brother" or even "brother" when the original had "onii-san". And a dub will perforce pave over the difference between "onii-san" and "onii-chan".

From glancing at the Steam page reviews, most people's issues are some bad quality music tracks, 30FPS cap, and cutscenes not scaling properly in higher resolutions. So basically, more of an HD port than a real remake (though there are SOME QoL improvements, apparently- not having to reroll to inherit the right skills every time you fuse is huge).

Kinda seems like inverse Nocturne. Which I suppose sort of gives an extra reason for Nocturne HD.
