i wanna say "I cant wait to play" but since its easier to avoid SMT spoilers than Elden Ring spoilers, i`ll probably play that one first.

I don't think I completed more than one Ending in the original and I didn't like how it ran on Switch so I'll probably double dip for the PS5 version.

so after the 14th run of a Persona game I only realized recently, that these games kind of punish you if you try and make a run for a late game relationship. You basically miss out on stuff like new year and christmas scenes, and whatever new date day they add on the more recent ones.

Presumably because I have been doing a re-watch of the anime "Princess Tutu" lately, combined with the recent discussions over the Persona franchise in the wake of Reload's release, but I had a dream about a new Persona "Dancing All Night" game which instead of the typical Pop Idol dancing on stage kinda vibe, was based around ballet instead. The "plot" (in so far as the Dancing games ever have one) was where the Metaverse starts crashing into the real world and so the Phantom Thieves can't simply use violence to kill the Shadows as they have started merging with real humans. Therefore Lavenza uses her powers to allow the Thieves to "steal" the humans out from the Shadows by outdoing them in performances from famous Ballet pieces. Or something like that anyways, the most vivid image I can remember is Joker and Lavenza dancing together in classical ballet outfits.

...I would have totally have bought it, because I am a shameless rhythm game enjoyer.

Considering ballet dancing can be used to illustrate(?) whole plays it's actually surprising nobody's used it as a storytelling device in videogames before (AFAIK).

That's less dancing to save the world than it is just a robot obsessed with beauty shooting death balls and lasers at you while it's dancing.

It's a darn shame that video games haven't taken more advantage of the power of performative dance in order to use as a narrative device.

Heck, outside of Princess Ballerina, I don't think we even have any rhythm games that actually feature ballet at all.
