Last time, Cyrano left after his reveal, ashamed that his wish is threatening Human Order, so now everyone's looking for him.
They talk about how this singularity's Grail must not have been very powerful, otherwise it would just have altered Cyrano's mind to satisfy him. Roland proposes that they could try beating Cyrano, who's the owner of the Grail, to end the singularity but that's shot down by Da Vinci. Trismegistus predicts 3 outcomes: either Cyrano disappears and Chaldea gets the Grail, both Cyrano and the Grail disappear at the same time, or the Grail goes wild once Cyrano's gone. That's too risky, so they should try to satisfy Cyrano, but first they have to find him.
Time for Edison to shine, as he does what he does best and becomes the theatre's sponsor, meaning his words are those of God. And God wants Cyrano to keep trying to get the ending he wants. Him and Sancho manage to convince Cyrano.
They get back to brainstorming about the play, when Brad comes in asking for help patrolling as there's been more and more ghosts popping up. She can't handle it alone with the rogue Saber. Charlie puts Roland and Astolfo on patrol duty, and asks Brad if she has anything to say about the play. Her input is that Roxanne, who spends 15 years in a nunnery after Christian's death, deserves to be happy. Cyrano concludes that they need to make Christian survive somehow, but Brad doesn't seem convinced. Though she can't really pinpoint why, so in the meantime Charlie and Fujimaru will joint Brad and rogue Saber's patrol (he kneels to Charlie as a subtle hint of his identity). After seeing his swordplay, Charlie seems to have a realization, and proposes they split up in pairs. Left alone, the mood's a bit awkward between Brad and the Saber, until he asks her if she sympathizes with Roxanne. She herself knows the pain of being separated from the one she loves, so she understand Roxanne's pain of 15 years. Saber asks her what Roxanne needs to be happy, but Brad doesn't know. In that case, they'll just take some time thinking about it together. (Yang Guifei is watching them like "fufufu" in the background).
Charlie and Fujimaru have already gone back to Edison and Cyrano, the latter being tired from all the thinking they had. Charlie wonders if the audience is really fine with seeing the same play over and over, to which Cyrano answers that he thought about it, but it's probably fine since they're concepts. Edison jokes that anything's fine as long as it's Cyrano in that case, and Cyrano answers back in the same tone that because of that, if he recieves any boos it's joever for him. Edison tries to reassure him there's nothing wrong about a script written by Cyrano himself, but Cyrano says that unfortunately, he's not that awesome. He can't rivalize with Christian, and wouldn't even try to court Roxanne. Him and the play's Cyrano are very different, for the other truly embodies the ideal of chivalry. Charlie asks him if he would deny his own chivalry, to which Cyrano answers that he can't win against such illusions. Maybe, but what he achieved in reality is still wonderful says Charlie. Still, that's something he can say because of his great achievements as someone who bears the name Charlemagne. The real Cyrano never recieved thunderous applause like the play's Cyrano. To that, Charlie answers that dreams will stay dreams, hardly able to surpass reality. He takes this opportunity to explain his situation as an Heroic Spirit born of fiction, one who can never beat his historical counterpart. Basically, the opposite of Cyrano. But even if he can't win, that doesn't mean he has lost. On that logic, during the next play, he'll fight the thing that killed him during the previous performance. The first time was a surprise attack, but this time he'll be prepraed. Truly, he's chivalry incarnate. Although that doesn't change the fact that they still don't really know what to do for the play. Forutnately, Brad is back and speaks with Cyrano in private about the scenario.
So now the scenario has been written, so everyone just needs to get ready. If they try to have
survive, he'll have to fight but there's not much they can do about it apart from trying to get reinforcements from Astolfo and Roland. This is when Yang Guifei says that she won't be able to play Roxanne because of her injuries. It's for the better anyway, since that means there'll be less non-Chaldea members around when the grail ends up appearing. Not that she has any wish that can be granted by this Singularity's weak Grail. As a substitute, she recommends Brad, who has been helping her practice her role. Everyone aggres that she could absolutely do it, but it's up to her to decide. After recieving some support from the rogue Saber, she accepts, and the play's ready to roll.
