    Territory Infringement C

A class Skill of the Watcher class, granting the ability to bypass designated boundaries and barriers of all kinds. The privilege of the watcher to peer into others' secrets, as long as they don't interfere and remain true to their class' duty of staying passive themselves - though they remain able to send others as actors to act in their stead.
Truth be said, as Watcher doesn't quite materialize in an Ether spiritual body like other Servants do, this ability is of little help to it directly, and doesn't allow it to break through the one barrier it needs to overcome, the particle horizon beyond which lies the truth it will never see. That being said, it isn't useless to Watcher altogether. Though its body doesn't need to enter any Territory, it is able to use this ability to supplement its observational abilities, allowing its vision to reach through most magical boundaries and regular obstacles like walls and buildings.

    KEYWORD
    Observable Universe

The observable universe is the region of the universe that can be observed from Earth. It is a nearly spherical region with an estimated radius of 46.5 billion light-years, limited by the particle horizon, the maximum distance a photon could have travelled to the observer in the age of the universe, that is to say, the boundary between the observable and unobservable regions of the universe.

    Watcher D

A class Skill of the Watcher class, representing "the class' special contract status towards the Master". Across the class, it takes a unique form between each Servant, from the Shadows favored by ○○○·○○○○ and the screen projections of the Big Brother to the physical powerless form of some others. A characteristic that comes to show just how irregular the Watcher class is, and underlines their role as observers rather than direct actors.
Hubble is only a space telescope, a device whose purpose is to collect and relay data down to Earth where it is alter computed and studied. Unlike living conscious beings, it doesn't possess a proper will of its own, only following a set list of instructions. Although being summoned in a Holy Grail War does expand its functionalities to some degree thanks to the Mysteries bestowed over the Heroic Spirits summoned by the ritual, a free conscience isn't among these. Due to this, Watcher doesn't converse with its Master through words, nor does it manifest Shadows to relay instructions. Instead, it sends the data it collected directly to its Master's brain, overlaying the visual information as an extra channel over their vision. Functionally, it could be said to act as a form of Clairvoyance as a Master Skill.

    KEYWORD
    Watcher

An irregular extra Servant class that manifests as observers, differing from the other classes by its characteristic of Watchers being 「passive existences」 only interacting with the World through their Masters. Due to this characteristic, some entities qualify despite being far removed from the grasp of the Human Order they merely observed, and some prove themselves able to face reduced influence from mankind's perspective as they stay outside of its perspective.

    « Personal Skills »Personal Skills

    Universal Bird's-Eye B++

A Skill that grants the capacity to understand everything within a limited territory in which it is summoned, limited to sight, hearing, and magical energy detection. It grants the ability to understand everything in a limited territory in which it is summoned from its summons. It cannot see into the past, so everything that preceded his summoning is unknown to it.
In Watcher's case, this Skill is merged with the Clairvoyance (Space) it possessed by virtue of being a space telescope, as one of the greatest observers of the modern day able from Earth's orbit to watch celestial bodies up to the very edge of the observable universe. Though it is impossible for Watcher to detect sound due to its lack of hearing devices and its position outside of the atmosphere, it is unparalleled when it comes to gathering visual information, being able to observe virtually anything on the side of the globe around the location of the Holy Grail War, as well as any spatial phenomenon as long as it leaves a visual trace.

    KEYWORD
    Space Telescope

A space telescope is a telescope placed in outer space to observe astronomical objects without suffering from atmospheric interferences. In other words, a space telescope is 「an eye of Alaya set outside of Gaia's range」.

    Existence Outside the Domain D

A class Skill of Foreigners, denoting a being descended from outer space. A Skill that Watcher possesses despite not being an emissary of Outer Gods - at least, not in this incarnation - due to its particular summoning. Unlike regular Servants summoned in spiritual bodies made of ether, Watcher is manifested as an echo of its true body, a formless spirit observing the Holy Grail War from above. Though the spirit's position is hardly defined clearly, it will always be above anybody else unless the one trying to surpass it is able to reach outside of Gaia's grasp and reach beyond the boundary of outer space. While Foreigners are able to wield part of their Outer God's Authority as emissaries from outer space on Earth, Watcher is instead able to ignore Gaia's Authority - and by extension that of its sense of touch - as an emissary from Earth in outer space.

    KEYWORD
    Outer Space

Outer space is the region of space lying outside of celestial bodies and their atmospheres. In the World of Magecraft, it is known as the space beyond the boundary of Earth, the realm where mankind has started to encroach and will establish itself once it reaches the Age of Will.

    Guidance of the Stars EX

Guidance of the Stars is a Skill offering a variety of blessings including a form of guidance akin to Revelation, showing them the path to take. Summoned in the Watcher class, it bestows its gifts only to its Master, and their allies if a contract or a link has been formed between them and either the Master or Watcher itself.
Hubble is but a watcher of the stars, neither one who rules them nor possesses any form of Authority over them, thus it cannot bestow any kind of divine protection. Its discoveries resulted in major breakthroughs in astrophysics, but haven't given a revolution to mankind just yet by lighting up its
    Age of Will
    path to the stars
, thus it cannot be considered a genuine Pioneer of the Stars. It is but a watcher of the stars, an eye turned towards the Universe.
But those stars, nobody knows them better than it. Its guidance may not allow anyone to achieve the impossible yet, but it shows the path opened by the stars, a glimmer of hope among the troubled waters of life.

    KEYWORD
    Age of Will

The next age of human history. If the Age of Man is defined as 「the age when humans are the Prime Species on Earth」, the Age of Will is 「the age when mankind breaks free of their bodies of flesh and blood to live among the stars」. However, it is only one possible future era where mankind outlives Earth, the optimal one where humans neither give up their Seat of Primacy nor live on Gaia's corpse.

    « Noble Phantasm »Noble Phantasm

shine with hope, little new star of this world
    Hubble

    Anti-Star
    Rank EX

Watcher's Noble Phantasm, the sublimation of its existence. Something it only possesses when manifested in this irregular class, it is the only direct interference it is allowed to use without breaking its role as an observer, the only alteration it can bring to the World aside from passing information.

By the definition of its nature, Hubble is 「one who observes the movement of the stars」.

By the definition of its class, Watcher is 「one who observes the path of its Master」.

At its core, the Hubble Space Telescope is a tool meant to allow mankind to understand the universe.

A tool meant to progress its science, to further its reach on the world.
    A step on its
    Age of Will
    path to the stars
    .

Hubble will bear witness to its Master's deeds.

Watcher will observe the course of a star.

The first step towards the realization of mankind's destiny.

Under its observation, Watcher witnesses its Master achieving the dream of Icarus.

Under its watch, Hubble observes the birth of a new star.

    « Notes »Notes

    I fulfilled my oath. Kinda.
As I was cooking, I thought about how I could make it a functional Watcher without just giving it Shadows (since afaik those are kinda supposed to be F/SF Watcher's thing rather than the norm for the Class, with each Watcher having their own way of communication), and I ended up with a Servant that communicates directly the data it gathers, pretty much no personality, so ... sorry gears, Watcher might not be the good friend for clock babby that I promised.
However. You might have noticed that his Foreigner self is not the only one listed in his Alternate Classes list. While I do not promise to make him my very next not-contest sheet like I promised for Watcher, I will make MoonCancer Hubble (under the "Threat to the Mystics of the Stars" categorization) as a more proactive Servant that will hopefully be the not-Foreigner star-gazing machine friend to AM that I promised.

Big thanks to pinetree for the assistance on the Age of Will lore.

I kinda looked through the many Watchers of the forum to get some inspiration, and I noticed two interesting things : there's apparently a semi-general consensus that Shadows are in fact not exclusive to ○○○·○○○○ (F/SF's Watcher), and Universal Bird's Eye is very unpopular, since apparently most Watchers either don't have it, or have an upgraded/composite version instead.

If the Noble Phantasm was unclear, I basically used the logic of "Watcher observes its Master and Hubble observes stars, therefore Watcher's Master conceptually becomes a star".

Whoever does the QoL post, please list him as "Hubble Space Telescope", not just "Hubble", I just put it that way at the top of the sheet because it didn't look at good with the long name.

"I am Hassan-i-Sabbah, the Old Man of the Mountain. Through the gardens of paradise and the shadows of death, my command echoes. Serve me with unwavering loyalty, and you shall witness the wonders of this world and the next."

    Pretender of the Eternal Paradise

    Strength: E
    Endurance: C+++
    Agility: A
    Mana: EX
    Luck: A+++
    Noble Phantasm: C

    Profile 1

    Origin: Middle East
    Alignment: Lawful Evil
    Attribute: Earth

One of the 19 leaders of the Order of the Assassins. Or so he claims. Though the original founder is well known amongst the other Assassins, this Hassan is truly the First. Or so he claims. As he manifests under the Pretender class rather than the Assassin class, his declarations cannot be relied upon.

    Class Skills

Presence Concealment (Rank D+++): Allows Hassan to conceal his presence, making it difficult for enemies to detect him. This enhanced version of the skill also enables him to conceal his territory and everything within it.

Independent Action (Rank B): Grants Hassan the ability to act independently of his Master's mana supply for a limited period. This skill allows him to operate freely and carry out his objectives without relying on external support.

Territory Creation (Rank B): While in his territory, Hassan creates an illusionary realm that gives the impression of Heaven on Earth, enticing his enemies with promises of eternal paradise. This skill enhances his abilities and bolsters his defenses within his domain, additionally making it difficult for enemies to resist his influence or discern the truth amidst his illusions.

    Profile 2

The first man to take up the name "Hassan-i-Sabbah". The leader of the Order of the Assassins, who rose to fame during the Crusades. Though they were famous for their assassinations, Hassan never once killed.

His methods were cunning and ruthless. "All life is precious. It would be a shame to let any life go to waste." This was his mentality. Rather than kill enemies, he would recruit them to his side and have them die for his cause. He would ply recruits with Hashish, inducing a state of euphoria and delirium that left them vulnerable to his influence. Under the intoxicating effects of the drug, they would willingly follow him into his illusionary garden, their minds clouded by visions of grandeur and luxury.

Once within the confines of his fortress, Al-Kahf, Hassan would further cement his hold over his recruits, exploiting their weakened state to extract unwavering loyalty and obedience. He demanded acts of extreme devotion and sacrifice, testing the limits of their allegiance. But all who made it to Al-Kahf inevitably joined his cause.

In one famous tale, Hassan got into a debate with a foreign general over whose army was stronger. The general held a much larger army. But to display his superiority, Hassan ordered a guard to leap from the fortress walls. The guard did so unflinchingly. The general admitted defeat before any combat even occured. Opponents with such unwavering loyalty- opponents who would give their lives on command- could not be defeated by sheer numbers alone.

    Skills

Jannah (Rank A): Hassan creates an illusionary paradise, enticing his enemies with promises of eternal bliss and indulgence. This skill clouds the minds of those affected, luring them into a state of delusion and submission. It symbolizes the allure of false promises and the power of deception to mask the harsh realities of life.

Hassan's Charisma (Rank A):Hassan exudes an aura of authority and charisma, captivating those around him and inspiring blind devotion. He can manipulate the emotions and desires of others, convincing them to abandon reason and follow his commands without question. This skill enhances his ability to lead and control the followers, exploiting their vulnerabilities for his own gain.

Nafs Relaxation (Rank A): Hassan induces a state of relaxation and euphoria in his victims, twisting their desires and manipulating their perceptions. He can induce feelings of euphoria or despair, weakening their willpower and making them more susceptible to his influence. This skill represents his mastery over the human psyche through the use of intoxicating substances.

Shahada Incarnate (Rank C): Hassan draws upon the energy of his followers to bolster his own strength. By siphoning the devotion and loyalty of his devotees, he enhances his abilities and becomes more formidable in battle. This skill symbolizes his ability to manipulate and control the minds of others, exploiting their unwavering loyalty for his own gain.

    Profile 3

Though self-identified as Hassan-i-Sabbah, Pretender's skills and story are a blend of legends surrounding both the Hassan, as well as other Islamic leaders of the era. His abilities are further blended with non-Muslim sources- abilities derived from stories of the Greek gods and legends from the East, such as the mythical paradise of Penglai. He is a Pretender through and through, concealing his true nature by latching onto legends.

    His true identity is-

    Noble Phantasm

Zabaniya - Garden of Serenity(Rank EX)
Hassan creates an illusionary garden of unparalleled beauty and splendor, enticing his enemies with promises of eternal paradise. Within this realm, reality is altered, trapping those who enter in a state of perpetual bliss.

As his enemies succumb to the allure of the garden, they find themselves healed of injuries, their mana restored, and even death itself undone. This miraculous restoration is a testament to Hassan-i-Sabbah's mastery over life and death, as well as his ability to manipulate reality.

The garden acts as a sanctuary for Hassan and his allies, providing them with a bastion of safety and tranquility amidst the chaos of battle. Within its borders, time flows differently, allowing Hassan to plan and strategize with ease while his enemies remain ensnared in its enchanting embrace.

Furthermore, the garden serves as a conduit for Hassan's power, amplifying his abilities and granting him unparalleled strength and vitality. With each passing moment, the garden grows stronger, drawing energy from the souls trapped within its confines and channeling it into Hassan-i-Sabbah's being.

    "Master...
You've come so far- endured so much.
Please, I can't stand to see you suffer like this.
It's okay, you've done enough. No, you've done more than enough.
You can rest now. Let your pain drift away..."

    Beast IV/Z
    Beast of Instinct (Ignorance)

    Strength: E
    Endurance: EX
    Agility: A
    Mana: EX
    Luck: A+++
    Noble Phantasm: EX

    Profile 1

    Origin: Japanese Mythology
    Alignment: Lawful Evil
    Attribute: Beast

The other half of The Beast of Instinct The Z stands for "Zenith", representing humanity's peak.

He drew on legends of the Hassan-i-Sabbah in order to disguise his true nature. The stories surrounding the Hashashin- stories of them being taken to an Earthly paradise, and of them drugging recruits to show them immense pleasure- resonated with his natural abilities, thus it was an easy identity for him to slip into.

Having discarded this false self, however, his Beast crowns reveal themselves like butterfly wings leaving a cocoon.

    Skills 1

Authority of the Beast (Rank A): The immutable right of Beasts to counter humanity. Grants a significant advantage against humans. In particular, the Beast possesses an advantage over anything capable of feeling pain. Those who know past suffering will seek to avoid experiencing that suffering once again. Thus, they become vulnerable to this Beast.

Independent ActionIndependent Manifestation (Rank A): The ability to materialize and act without being summoned. The natural state for gods, who are born from faith regardless of whether they are summoned or not. Additionally, provides resistance to instant death and temporal attacks.

    Profile 2

In ancient Japan, there was once a god revered for bringing prosperity and abundance. The god's worship began in a small cult, but over time grew to touch the entirety of the nation. The god's doctrine ordered followers to abandon their material possessions in exchange for a promise of even greater fortune in the future. The cult sang "new riches will come", and under this mantra they gave up all worldly things. Though the cult suffered greatly, they remained unperturbed. Any temporary suffering was alleviated by the knowledge that great fortune awaited them in the future. Many died in poverty, but they died happy, still believing that fortune was coming.

Eventually the Emperor took notice of this cult. He feared that its influence exceeded even his own, and thus sent an assassin by the name of Hata no Kawakatsu to dispose of it. Kawakatsu found the head priest and executed him before returning to the cultists their belongings. He declared the cult's god to be a false deity- one whose promises would never be fulfilled. The former cultists revered Kawakatsu himself, believing that the one who defeated their god must be an even greater god himself.

    Skills 2

Presence Concealment Divine Core of the False God (Rank EX): In Shinto, it is believed that all things have a divine spark within them. As such, "False God" means something different than in the West. A Divine Spirit of falsehood. His very nature is to lie and deceive, and by doing so he gains power. Ordinarily it would be impossible for a Beast to conceal their identity. However, it is because of his Divine Core that he is able to don both Pretender and Beast Saint Graphs.

Hassan's Charisma Metamorphosing Charisma (Rank A): The charisma of one who transforms vulnerability into strength. The power to invoke certainty in others- the more one suffers, the more confident they become in their leader. Those under the Beast's influence will have unwavering belief in its statements, even on their deathbed- even if it was the Beast's actions which lead to their death in the first place.

Shahada Incarnate New Riches Will Come (E+++): The power to transform small fortunes into great ones. This is not limited to monetary fortunes, but can apply to anything which can be accumulated and measured in numbers. Ordinarily this skill would be a supportive skill, capable of bolstering an ally's strength. However, in this case, the Beast is the only one who will benefit from the accumulated wealth.

    Profile 3

His name is Tokoyo no Kami - the God of the Everlasting World.

Various mythologies of Asia describe a paradise in a distant land. This paradise is called many names- Penglai, Hourai, Tokoyo, the Dragon Palace, or simply Heaven. While the details of this paradise vary, the denizens of the paradise are always the same. Immortal, fairy-like beings, who live their entire lives never knowing pain or suffering. It was believed that eating the fruits of paradise would transform humans into these immortal beings.

    Skills 3

Nafs Relaxation Endless Night (Rank B): A veil of darkness, hiding away all pain and suffering. A form of mental interference used to bolster allies. Pain exists to discourage actions which could be harmful to the self. In other words, without pain the variety and extremeness of actions we can perform increases greatly.

Jannah Winter's Embrace (Rank A): A skill which gradually breaks down the opponent's soul and converts it into usable energy, all while numbing their senses. A variation of New Riches Will Come. The cold of winter eats away at the body, but if there is no pain then there's no reason to seek shelter.

Nega-Instinct (Rank A): The power to dismantle one's sense of self. In other words, the power to remove that which makes someone "themselves". The senses are the things which connect sentient beings to the world around them. As those senses are dulled and replaced with illusions, their connection to the rest of the world deteriorates. As the Beast consumes the body and soul left behind, the rest of the world's ability to recognize the victim also deteriorates. By the end, all that will be left is an unidentifiable husk.

    Profile 4

Various mythologies of Asia describe a paradise in a distant land. Each of these mythologies is incorrect. There is no distant paradise. Rather, the mythical country of Tokoyo is the land of death. The dead are free from pain, free from aging, and never want for anything. Thus, Tokoyo no Kami is a god of the dead.

Death is inevitable, and not even the Beast can prevent its coming. But he can ease suffering as his victims drift towards death, clouding their mind with ignorance.

    Noble Phantasm

    Territory Creation (Rank B)
Ne no Kata Su Kuni - To the Everlasting World
    (Rank EX)
    (Bounded Field-type)
Also known as Haha no Kuni, or "The Land of Death".

A Noble Phantasm which reveals the Truth of the world, only to shroud that truth with delusion. All things, even the World itself, must eventually die. It is an inescapable fact of living. An expanding sphere of influence. All within the bounded field experience the Truth of their own death. If a being is capable of dying, then that Truth is enforced upon them.

While devastatingly destructive, the Beast sees this Noble Phantasm as gentle. While death is inevitable, the circumstances surrounding one's death can be muted. A sudden, painless death which brings no fear or suffering. When combined with his other abilities, the experience can even become pleasant.

    Lore

    Ignorance
To act without knowledge of the surrounding world is to act on instinct alone. As intelligence breaks down, base emotions arise. As base emotions break down, only the core remains.

    Author's Notes

I've been cooking this since I posted my last Beast, but life.

Nice. I wasn't fond of "Hassan" of the Eternal Paradise at first because he felt wrong as a Hassan, and too strong on some aspects, but that reveal solves all of that. Looks like Royd has to worry about his throne as the King of Beasts, since you're now at 4, only one behind his 5. Thanks for bringing a bit of life to this thread again, even if June is guaranteed to be a dead month for CaS due to the contest.

Nice sheet! Initally I wasn't sold on the Hassan idea, and I still maintain the idea that by itself is not that memorable of a sheet, but it being the prologue to something else really made me look at it with other eyes. I could truly feel the creativity flowing here. Very, very good work!

It's been literal years since I posted a Servant here, so I figured this was the best place to do it now that I have a little more free time. Not confident about the contest thread but might try something later.

I tried writing this sheet several times a few years ago but kept running into problems making the Hassan portion interesting in its own right. That was definitely the hardest bit. Initially I wanted to make him a fake Grand Assassin, but then I'd have to set up a Grand Assassin just to reveal he was a Pretender Pretending to be Grand Assassin, but was actually a Beast, and it didn't make any sense. But I want to post ideas here more and felt I needed to get this guy out of the way before I could do that, so I settled on what he is now.

    Class: Caster
    Other Classes: Assassin
    True Name: Yolande of Aragon
    Alignment: True Neutral
Place of Origin: France (15th Century)
    Stars: 4/5

    Parameters:

    STR: D
    END: C
    AGI: B
    MGI: A
    LCK: C
    NP: A

    Height: 180cm
    Weight: 140lbs
Likes: Control, logic, family, emotions in others
    Dislikes: Emotions in herself
    Talent: Control
    Natural Enemy: Isabeau of Bavaria
    Attribute: Man
Traits: Humanoid, Female, Weak to Enuma Elish
    Armament: Daggers up sleeves
Catalyst: A stained-glass window of her, a bell from Joan of Arc's hometown

    Class Skills:

Territory Creation B: The capacity to create a territory suited for a queen, fitting for one of the most powerful people of her age, and one who controlled france for almost fifty years.

Item Construction (Commissioning) C: The capacity to commission items. In essence, a skill akin to that of Item Construction, but decoupled from Caster's focus. However, in exchange mana costs will be slightly higher and production will take some seconds.

    Personal Skills:

The Foolishness of Fate A+: One's hatred of fate exerted in the form of a skill. As one who set up several scenarios, including the rise of Joan of Arc, by utilizing falsely placed prophecies, she obtains this powerful skill. It is capable of causing her to automatically pass any Luck check which she failed up to three times a day, or twice a day pass a MGI, END, STR, or AGI check. In addition, prophetic abilities such as Revelation and True Name Discernment falter around her.

The Power Of Beauty B: Caster was famed for her beauty, to the point where in many people's eyes it caused them to underestimate her. And Caster naturally utilizes that whenever she can. A spell invoked which weakens, not only enemy stats, but enemy perception for a short period, in essence a reverse Presence Concealment which blocks the targets from noticing things that they should have.

The Fangs Of Politics A: Caster's primary offensive tool, and the crystallization of her skill at politics, in the form of an offensive spell. Fitting for one whose reach far overpassed her touch, the ability to launch long-distance bombardments in the shape of fangs. Low power, but long range and low cost, and thus sufficient for Caster.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Rohan Hours
The World Is Ruled By Emotion: Thus, Play Upon It

    Type: Mental
    Rank: B
    Range: 20 meters
    Max Targets: 100 targets

Caster's famous commissioning of the Rohan Hours, the first bible focused more on the emotion of it than the actual events, combined with Caster's emphasis on playing on emotion into a noble phantasm. A small book always in Caster's hands. When it is opened, waves of any emotion Caster wishes emerge from it, covering the mentality of the targets into the mentality of the book.

    Il Burratino D'Aragona
My Eyes Are Everywhere: Thus, Loyalty Is Ensured

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: A
    Range: 100 meters
    Max Targets: 1 target

Caster's greatest political moves were the placing into importance of some of her closest allies, who became legends in their own right such as Louis XI, Margaret of Anjou, Jeanne D'Arc, Charles VII, Arthur de Richemont, John the Wise, and many others. Even her personal secretary became a cardinal through use of her political influence. An Ascension ability, in effect. The capacity to elevate her allies to far higher tiers, as well as bestowing upon them many of her skills such as Power of Beauty, Fangs of Politics, and Territory Creation.

Lore: Yolande of Aragon was a powerful queen within France in the 15th century. Her influence spread wide and boosted some of the most prominent people in her age and the following one. She commissioned the Rohan Hours. And she ws famed for her beauty and her sheer political power.

Personality: A very logical and calculating person, who treats life like a good game of chess. But her warmer side is brought out in the presence of her closest allies and relatives, for who she is willing to support even if it'd be unideal. Her wish for the grail is to maximise her control.

    Relationships:

Isabeau of Bavaria: "Queen Isabeau. How.. lovely. It is such a pleasant surprise to see that you made it." (Respectful rivals, they always dueled against each other in life but both share the same perspectives)

Louis XI: "I am so proud. So, so proud."

Jeanne D'Arc: "Oh, don't look at me like that. We both gained much."

Is there a tutorial on how to make the spoiler tag into the collapsible profiles in the Create-a-Servant, and how to make the background of the text into black so it can't be read without highlighting? I am wondering about this since the forum skin of my Beast's Lair is white while the typical one is mostly black, so does that mean making text into white makes it impossible to see without highlighting or does that only apply to the default style appearance?

Edit: I figured out how to make the spoiler tag have a different title, but now I wonder how you make images expand into a profile?

DelRey did a whole blog on the topic of formatting, that probably should be able to help you some.

Yeah and hiding stuff by changing the text color doesn't work because different styles have different backgrounds, like you noticed.

"Greetings, Master. Or shall I say, Summoner, for I am a Servant only to the Truth of His word. Together let us spread the light of salvation. Lead me there and I shall follow faithfully."

    Pretender of Salvation

    Source

    Strength: E
    Endurance: C+
    Agility: E
    Mana: A+
    Luck: D
    Noble Phantasm: EX

    Profile 1

    Region: Rome
    Alignment: Lawful Evil
    Attribute: Man

A saint from the first century. Also qualifies for the Caster and Ruler classes.

"A contemporary of the Lord? Uhuhu... how did that expression go? 'He appeared to me last of all, as to one of untimely birth.'"

    Skills 1

    Territory Creation (Rank A)
Pretender has the ability to create a territory suitable for his magecraft to flourish, enhancing his magical abilities within its confines.

    Item Construction (Rank B)
Pretender possesses the skill to create magical items and constructs. He claims to draw power from the Lord, but as the very act of magecraft is heretical, the effectiveness may vary.

    Messianic Miracle (Rank A-)
Pretender's magecraft grants him the ability to perform miracles reminiscent of those attributed to Savers. He can heal the sick, walk on water, and even resurrect the dead. However, these miracles are tainted by Pretender's heretical nature and serve his own agenda rather than divine righteousness.

    Profile 2

Saul was born into a devout Jewish family in the city of Tarsus. Raised to follow strict traditions, Saul was a fervent adherent of the faith. His life was marked by zealous devotion to the Jewish law, leading him to persecute early Christians, whom he viewed as heretics and threats to the established order.

Saul's life took a dramatic turn when, on the road to Damascus, he experienced a profound vision of the resurrected Christ. Blinded by the radiant light of the divine presence, Saul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, questioning his persecution of His followers.

This transformative encounter led Saul to embrace the teachings of Jesus and to become one of the foremost proponents of early Christianity. Renaming himself Paul, he dedicated his life to spreading the gospel message throughout the Roman Empire.

"Ah, how I long for those early days. If I'd known then what I'd known now, I wouldn't have wasted all that time fighting the Christians. All that effort amounted to nothing, in the end. Though I suppose one must make mistakes in order to grow, yes?"

    Skills 2
Paragon of Christ (False) (Rank B)
A skill representing the conflicting narratives behind Christianity. A gap in faith which arose when Peter claimed one thing and Paul claimed another. Similar to, or perhaps the basis of, the Nega-Messiah skill. Allows Pretender to project himself as a saint-like figure while simultaneously degrading the truth behind the faith. On activation it grants him an advantage against Heroes of the Saver class, as well as those who derive their power from Savers. Additionally, passively weakens the skills of such figures.

    Spirit Over Flesh (Rank A-)
It was only by absorbing the customs of pagan religions that Christianity propagated to a global religion. However, in the process, varying interpretations were born and thus the original message became distorted. A skill embodying the fruits of these distortions. By propagating misinformation, Pretender becomes able to strengthen and enforce the effects of Innocent Monster on others. Normally small or wildly off base details in a Hero’s story- details such as “Napoleon is short”, or “Marie was a tyrant”- are not powerful enough to alter the Hero’s Saint Graph. This skill allows Pretender to enforce such variations. In other words, the ability to create Alter Servants.

    Profile 3

Paul often found himself in conflict with the other Apostles, particularly Peter, who had known Jesus during His earthly life. In one notable dispute, Paul asserted that while the other Apostles had known Jesus in the flesh, he had encountered Him spiritually. Paul argued that since the spirit was greater than the flesh, his connection to Jesus was superior to that of the other Apostles. This assertion led to tension and disagreement among the early followers of Jesus.

While the original teachings of Jesus were relatively focused on the Jewish community, Paul's missionary efforts expanded the scope of Christianity to encompass a wider audience. He introduced many pagan concepts, such as feast days and customs, into the religion, adapting it to appeal to diverse cultural contexts. Paul's influence was instrumental in the spread of Christianity beyond its origins among early Jews, transforming it into a global religion.

"But if one can't take back their past actions, the best they can do is take action in the future. He who sows greatly reaps greatly, after all. Uhuhuhu..."

    Skills 3

    Divine Backlash (Rank C)
The manifestation of an anecdote regarding Pretender's duel with Saint Peter. Pretender gains access to abilities such as levitation and augmented magical prowess. However, each use of these abilities carries a risk of divine retaliation, manifesting as physical and mental strain, and may even result in catastrophic failure or injury.

Invictus Spiritus - Undying Magus (Rank B)
A magecraft to resurrect after fatal damage. If the conditions for activation are met, Pretender can resurrect after a period of time, up to three days. This ability carries the risk of putrefaction, where his body may become corrupted and unusable if not properly prepared. Even if putrefied, Pretender can still act, albeit with diminished physical capabilities and heightened vulnerability. He originally used this to revive after three days as a blasphemy against the Christ, but his failure resulted in the decay of his body.

    At Ascension 3
    True Name Reveal:
    Pretender of Salvation
    Paul the Apostle...?
    Simon Magus

    Profile 4

Simon Magus was a figure shrouded in mystery and controversy, whose legacy intertwined with the tumultuous events of ancient history. Born in Samaria during the early decades of the first century AD, Simon was believed to have been deeply influenced by the diverse spiritual currents of his time, including Jewish mysticism, pagan rituals, and early Christian teachings.

Simon's connection to Paul the Apostle is deeply rooted in theological and historical debates. While some accounts portray Simon as a rival and antagonist to Paul, others suggest a more nuanced relationship between the two figures. It is believed that Simon's teachings and practices bore similarities to early Christian beliefs, leading to speculation that he may have been influenced by or even encountered Paul during his missionary journeys. However, the true nature of their relationship remains a subject of conjecture and scholarly scrutiny.

In later centuries, as Christianity became more established and doctrinal disputes arose, many of Paul's teachings and actions were reinterpreted and attributed to "Simon Magus" by scholars seeking to reconcile conflicting narratives. This attribution served to create a distinction between the "true" teachings of Jesus and the perceived deviations introduced by Paul. As a result, it has become increasingly challenging to discern the historical figure of Simon Magus from the symbolic representation attributed to him in later theological debates.

"Uhuhuhuhu... You thought I was someone else? It's not the first time that man and myself have been mistaken for one another. Of course, it's too late to turn back now. Let's continue towards the last steps of this miracle."

    Skills 4

    Gnostic Arts (Rank A+)
A variation of magecraft practiced by Pretender. While rooted in practices over 1000 years old, Pretender refined and perfected the art to the point that later generations would call him their founder. Based in the principle that all beings possess within them a Divine Spark, and through this Spark, a path to the Root can be achieved. Allows for the performance of miracles without relying on external support. As it relies entirely on the user’s own mana, it is considered quite a feat even in modern times.

    Profile 5

As Simon's reputation as a powerful sorcerer grew, he found himself entangled in the political and religious machinations of his era. It was during the reign of Emperor Nero that Simon's path crossed with that of the infamous ruler. Seeking to wield the powers of the arcane for his own ambitious ends, Simon attempted to manipulate Nero, convincing him that he could unlock the secrets of ultimate power. However, Simon's grandiose promises ultimately led to his downfall, as his failed attempt to transform Nero into a divine being resulted in the emperor's transformation into a monstrous entity known as a Beast.

"We've nearly reached the end. The path to the Truth is nearly complete. I'm glad you were here to witness this, oh Summoner. Let us both bear witness as the path reveals itself!"

    Noble Phantasm
The Four Quarters of the World
    Metamorphosis of the Abyss
    Rank EX
    Anti-Unit

The embodiment of Gnostic cosmology, this ability allows Pretender to transform his target into a metaphysical entity- a being beyond the scope of the Human Order. All beings possess within them a Divine Spark which connects them to God. By stripping away the unnecessary and strengthening that Spark, they may themselves become a path to God- a path to the Root.

However, due to his imperfect understanding and flawed execution, the transformation often results in a twisted and monstrous form. The exact nature of the resultant monster will vary based upon the individual. In its worst case scenario, it may even result in an apocalyptic Beast. In his pursuit of transcending the material world, Pretender brings forth a distorted reflection of the divine, a monstrous embodiment of chaos and corruption.

Pretender’s greatest success and greatest failure was his imperfect use of this ritual. The conditions were perfect, and the subject nearly achieved his dream. His flaw was in engineering the subject to develop an inflated ego. Just as she was to achieve Gnosis, she gave in to her own avarice and turned back to drink upon the desires of the world.

This Noble Phantasm is not simply an ability; it is a complex ritual that requires massive preparation before it can even be attempted. If used without proper preparation or on an unsuitable target, they may vanish into the Root, or even simply die. It’s said that the odds of success are even slimmer than a camel passing through the eye of a needle and finding a single jewel amidst the sands of a desert.

    Lore

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.

Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.

For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.

But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.

Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

    Author's Note

I think this is the longest profile I've made yet. Now that I'm finally past Beast IV, the other ideas I've been wafting around can come out. Very excited to show what's next.
