Not only it's better off there, it's the ONLY place it would fit if it's the P5 version.

There's also the part about Beasts needing to love Humanity which is missing from the very premise (or at least the way you seem to have understood it).

Noted upon other thread for servants from other fiction.

As for love I've maybe not made it clear but showing love in taking absolutely control as well as establishing order even if that stripe humanity of their will to save them from themselves

Ambrose: Amazing work, he's peak. His narrative voice comes through so incredibly well, and while it's not funny per say, he and Haïta still feel like an incredibly fun duo to work with in the context of a story.

Louhi: Also a really good read, the Gandr-Noi connection is neat and I'm surprised how well she works as an Archer. The connection to Beryl is also neat, and also incredibly cursed.

    Archer
    Prideful Divine Sunslayer, Hou Yi
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    Region: China
    Gender: Male
    Height: 185cm
    Weight: 73kg
    Likes: His wife, hunting, tea
Dislikes: Disobedience, thieves, those without pride

    Parameters:
    Strength: C
    Endurance: B
    Agility: A+
    Mana: A
    Luck: C
    Noble Phantasm: EX

    Class Skills:
    Independent Action: A
A trait of the Archer Class. Due to his high level of magical energy and a strong will, Archer is capable of remaining in this world without a Master for up to a week as long as he does not utilize his Noble Phantasms.

    Magic Resistance:
    C
Archer possesses some degree of resilience against being affected by magecraft. His rank in this skill is decidedly average, but due to his highly-tuned senses and agility he is virtually untouchable to most modern magi.

    Divinity: B
Archer was originally a divine spirit. However, he willingly discarded the mantle of godhood in order to serve as a beast hunter for the sake of humanity. Due to this, his divinity became reduced. As opposed to operating as a god, he preferred slaying monsters.

    Personal Skills:
God of Travelling on the Wind: A
An inherent capacity to utilize the wind as a method of transportation. It is more akin to magecraft then any form of technique. Archer can move on the wind as if it was a solid object, a platform is is capable of directly interacting with in order to achieve a form of "flight". Additionally, his agility is is increased by one rank while he is walking on the wind. Due to his inhuman senses, he is especially suited to unleashing arrows from the air towards foes who are below him. His Noble Phantasms, however, require solid footing and cannot be utilized while travelling on the wind. A proud and and capable beast hunter, it is only natural for Archer to stand far above his quarries.

    Giant Beast Hunt:
    A
Countless man-eating beasts plagued ancient China, threatening its people and destroying their settlements. It was due to Archer's intervention that the people survived, his unerring aim allowing him to strike down every single monstrosity that stalked the land without fail. His hunting and slaughtering of hundreds of monsters is sublimated in this skill, honing his capabilities against such opponents and those of a monstrous nature. It was not only for the sake of China's people, but for his own enjoyment that Archer sought out and destroyed maneating monsters.

    Affections of the Moon:
    B
In order to keep the pill of immortality from falling into the hands of a traitorous apprentice, Archer's wife swallowed it. This forfeited her existence as a human being and forcibly ascended her to the moon. However, despite their separation, she never ceased loving her husband. This love confers as blessing to Archer, granting him a beneficial status that accelerates the healing of injuries and renders him resistant to curses and other forms of negative effects. Above even his pride is Archer's longing for his wife, but their separation is impossible to overcome.

    Clairvoyance:
    C+
The greatest beast hunter in China during his life, Archer's sharp eyes can surpass even material things in order to acquire his targets. It is the eyesight of a peerless hunter who was capable of hitting his mark no matter how distant they may be. At this rank, it extends beyond mere eyesight to become a supreme awareness of his targets that borders on the realm of precognition. For Archer, time itself appears to slow every time he readies and arrow, which allows him to perfectly adjust his aim as he tracks his targets. To take pride in such skill is befitting of a hero.

    Noble Phantasm:
    Resplendent Weapon of the Beast-Hunter
    Hǔ Gǔ Gōng
    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-Army
    Range: 1-50
Maximum Number of Targets: 200 people
Archer's trusted weapon, a bow that can only be strung by his hand. Crafted from jade and the bones of a great phantasmal tiger, it surpasses all Chinese bows made before and after its creation. The finest bow in an entire nation, suitable for the chief weapon of a hunter of monsters. It serves as Archer's primary weapon, but it can also be utilized as an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. By aiming skywards and invoking his bow's name, Archer can unleash a blistering wave of arrows that descend from the upper atmosphere, becoming superheated as they hurtle towards the earth at terminal velocity. Upon impact with the Earth, these arrows erupt into flames and scorch any targets caught within range. While it is highly potent, it sacrifices accuracy in order to delivery a wide-ranging attack. As a result, targets with exceptional agility may be able to evade the rain of arrows. Additionally, targets who possess powerful self-recovery can survive and regenerate even after being struck directly. However, those of a monstrous nature are unable to escape, and will undeniably be perforated and set ablaze by countless arrows. It is a beast-slaughtering attack that felled hundreds of monstrosities.

The Hero Who Shot Down Nine Suns
    Rìguāng Yānmò
    Rank: EX
    Type: Anti-Sun
    Range: 0-1000
Maximum Number of Targets: 1000 People
Archer was once summoned to quell divine spirits that had taken the form of ten suns. Their shortsighted rampage scorched the lands, rendering them inhospitable and killing entire villages. While at first he attempted to reason with them, eventually Archer felt he had no choice but to draw his bow. He felled nine of their number, only to be stopped before slaying the final sun as its existence was required for life to flourish. This Noble Phantasm is a crystallization of the slaying of nine suns, recalling their death throes. By calling its true name and unleashing one of the crimson arrows used to slay the nine suns, Archer can recreate the death of a celestial body. A localized supernova is generated from the arrow's point of impact, expanding and incinerating absolutely everything caught within range. Nothing is left behind but scorched, smoldering earth, for the death of a sun is a truly devastating event. This attack may be evaded, but survival within the supernova is impossible. Additionally, Archer may target the sun, instead. While the common sense of man dictates the sun cannot be destroyed so easily, Archer may temporarily darken the the land by doing so, cutting a region off from its light for a timespan of roughly five minutes.

Lore: Originally, the Chinese texture contained ten suns. These were both celestial bodies and divine spirits, that would proceed across the sky one by one, never to meet one another. In this way, the lands would be lit and life could flourish.

But the suns were of a fickle, and childish nature. They grew bored with this organized existence, frustrated with never being allowed to meet one another. And so, one day, they chose to emerge all at once, casting the sky in blinding light and scorching the lands. Crops burned. Entire villages went up in flames and the people within them perished and burnt to ash. And yet, the suns continued to remain in the sky, their selfish nature causing them to disregard the destruction that they were inflicting upon the world beneath them.

It was by the desperate request of Emperor Yao, believing that all humanity could be exterminated by the foolish suns, that the god Hou Yi descended to put an end to the rampage.

At first, knowing the suns were fellow divine spirits, Hou Yi attempted to reason with them. He explained that they were burning the world that they once illuminated, that China's people were suffering and dying due to their shortsightedness.

---But the suns would not listen.

Next, Hou Yi drew his bow and readied an arrow. If they would not listen to reason, then perhaps they would understand fear. A god of archers and hunting, he had nothing but faith in his ability to fell the suns if so required, and so he took aim. It was his hope that the suns would understand, and end their foolishness.

---But the suns would not listen.

No reason reached them. No warning reached them.

But his arrows would certainly do so.

And so, Hou Yi shot down the first sun. Then the second. Then the third. Each sun was struck in turn, dying in flames and falling from the sky. They had clearly failed to understand the error of their ways, and so only death could follow.

He was even prepared to slay the final sun, but his hand was stayed by the intervention of Emperor Yao. After all, while the suns' antics had been devastating for China, at least one was still required to provide life-giving light to its people.

And so, the hunter lowered his bow.

    The crisis ended.

And yet, the troubles of the Chinese people did not. In the aftermath of the death of the nine suns, hundreds of maneating beasts emerged and began to rampage across the land. Despite efforts to rebuild going well, these creatures were devouring humans and destroying villages during the night.

Hou Yi saw this and grew angry. He had destroyed nine suns for the sake of humanity, but now they faced the appetites of ravenous monsters who would destroy crops and take lives. This, in his mind, was not only a threat to the people of China but also an insult to his pride. Additionally, his wife, who was a human woman by the name of Chang'e, pleaded for his assistance.

As a god, he could not freely intervene just for the sake of human beings against the monsters who resisted their development.

And so, he discarded the mantle of godhood and descended to the world once more, this time to take the role of a hunter of beasts. Despite the loss of his divine nature, his skills remained impossibly sharp. The sunslayer slaughtered hundreds of beasts such as the voracious Zaochi and Fengxi. He became a hero of the people, renowned and beloved for his beast hunts that purged the land of monstrosities for the sake of humanity.

Each hunt removed a threat to the lives of China's people. Each hunt caused Hou Yi's heart to soar with exhilaration. The slaying of beasts as a hero of humanity was far more exciting then the hunts of a god.

    His pride only grew.

He took to the mantle of "hero" swiftly. A hero of humanity. One who shines brilliantly due to their actions. One who holds deep pride in oneself.

That is who Hou Yi became. That is how he defined himself.

But the gods desired his return. In the guise of a reward for his actions, they gifted the hero-archer a pill of immortality, that would restore his godhood and return him to the heavens. Hou Yi accepted the pill, but his love of being a hero and his affection for his wife prevented him from taking it. He did not desire to return to the heavens unless Chang'e could also become a god alongside him, and he greatly desired to continue his beast hunts.

One day, entrusting his wife to keep the pill safe, he embarked to slay another great beast that threatened one of China's largest cities.

While he was away, one of his apprentices decided to act. Having eavesdropped upon Hou Yi and Chang'e, Feng Meng knew of the pill of immortality and desired it for himself. Having trained under the sunslayer, he knew he was more then skilled enough to easily subdue Chang'e and take the pill.

When he broke in, Chang'e was well aware she would be unable to defeat him, and that his target was the pill of immortality. Someone who would betray his mentor's trust and commit an act of theft could never have such a thing, but she would surely be killed if she attempted to flee with it, and a hunter trained by her husband would be able to track the pill's location easily.

And so, she took the pill herself.

Chang'e ascended to godhood, and was removed from the earth to be taken to the Heavens. She arrived at the moon and refused to travel any further, as such a great distance was already so far from her beloved husband.

When Hou Yi returned, he realized what had happened and was overtaken by sorrow. He wept for their separation, and began to leave offerings to his wife every night. The great hero cursed himself for departing, for leaving Chang'e alone, for trusting his apprentice so thoroughly.

    This continued for many years.

One night while he was leaving offerings to his wife, Feng Meng ambushed Hou Yi. Still enraged at the loss of his chance of immortality and believing Hou Yi had weakened with the years, he took it out on his aged mentor and blungeoned him to death with a club before he could draw his bow.

The hero-archer's last thoughts were of his wife.

Personality: A serious and proud figure, who deeply values loyalty. As such, his relationship with his Master is placed in high regard, and he will endeavor to follow their orders closely. With that being said, he is not without pragmatism. If Hou Yi judges his Master's orders to be in error, he will not reject them. But he will instead interpret them as best suits his situation, believing that such an act is also an example of loyalty. Despite his conduct towards his Master, there is one situation in which he will wholly reject them. If ordered to harm innocent people, Hou Yi will first draw his bow and administer a warning. If his Master does not retract this order, he will draw and loose an arrow with the intent of slaying them where they stand.

Hou Yi's pride in himself is unshakeable. While he is polite and respectful in his manner of speech, the fact that he is also rather arrogant cannot be ignored. He perceives himself as a hero who can judge others, one who can match the legends of all other Servants who could possibly oppose him. That is not to say he lacks respect for other legends. But if he did not have this unshakable pride in himself, then it would be an insult to himself. To the title of "hero".

Indeed, Hou Yi believes that to be a hero is to be proud. To carry oneself with assuredness and conviction, to hold nothing but confidence in one's skills. A hero's legend is resplendent, so that hero should be resplendent as well.

It is this pride that allows him to believe that he may judge the legends of others. That he can operate as a test for his opponents, to see just how brilliantly they shine as heroic spirits. Even in more friendly situations, he enjoys challenging others, especially other hunters. While Hou Yi will always believe himself to be the more likely victor, the better his opponents perform against him, the more brilliantly they shine.

Hou Yi enjoys hunting, and also appreciates good tea. To peacefully enjoy a cup of tea after an exciting hunt is a cherished pleasure for the sunslayer.

But above all else, above even his pride, Hou Yi loves his wife. Deep in his heart there is an emptiness, a regret that he was unable to be there for her, that she was forced to take the pill and ascend to the heavens. Without fail, Hou Yi will leave offerings to the moon, and will take any opportunity to appreciate the moonlight. To him, it is the same as the loving gaze of his wife.

As such, it is no surprise his wish for the Holy Grail is to reunite with her.

    Dialogue
Summoned: “So, you are in need of hero who hunts beasts? I am Hou Yi, the beast-hunter and the slayer of Nine Suns. My class is Archer. No matter what manner of creature you require to be slain, man, beast, or divine, my bow is yours to command. I will not miss, I will not falter, and I will not fail.”

Level Up 1: “Mm, this is good.”

Level Up 2: “The more I receive, the better I may hunt.”

Level Up 3: “To become stronger is merely part of a hero’s story.”

1st Ascension: “While those robes are somewhat nostalgic, a hero should shine resplendently. In that regard, there’s no question that this is a far more suitable visage. I shall show you the brilliance of a slayer of countless monsters.”

2nd Ascension: “A hero should take pride in their skills, and in their appearance. I shall wear these clothes a while longer.”

3rd Ascension: “Ah, I see---These vestments remind me of a distant time, before I chose to cast off the mantle of godhood and become a hero of humanity. It’s hardly unpleasant, but I cannot say I thought I would take on such an appearance again. Take pride in your accomplishment, Master, for I could never have foreseen this.”

4th Ascension: “---Ah. Hello, Master, I didn’t expect you. I was simply admiring the moonlight. I suppose some may find it fitting that I prefer the light of the moon to the light of the sun. It’s simply that, on quiet nights like this, I want to watch the moon cross the sky. We can never reach one another, but right now the distance between us is smaller. If only for tonight.”

Battle Start 1: “Ready yourself, for I have arrived.”

Battle Start 2: “It is time for heroes to shine beautifully.”

Battle Start 3: “Your foe is the Slayer of Nine Suns.”

Battle Start 4: “Prepare for the end, for you won’t escape it.”

    Skill 1: “I’m taking aim.”

    Skill 2: “Behold!”

    Skill 3: “I won’t miss.”

    Skill 4: “This is a hero’s resplendence!”

Skill 5: “No beast can withstand my arrows.”

Skill 6: “The moonlight is surrounding me…”

    Attack Selected 1: “Understood.”

Attack Selected 2: “They won’t escape.”

Attack Selected 3: “My arrow flies true.”

Noble Phantasm Selected 1: “Behold, the bow that struck down nine suns.”

Noble Phantasm Selected 2: “Witness brilliance and be destroyed!”

Noble Phantasm Selected 3: “Very well, master. They shall be annihilated, utterly.”

Noble Phantasm Selected 4: “Today is their final sunset.”

    Attack 1: “Hah!”

Attack 2: “Dodging won’t help you!”

    Attack 3: “Take this!”

    Attack 4: “Yah!”

Attack 5: “The moon guides me.”

    Attack 6: “Pierce through them!”

    Attack 7: “Fall.”

Attack 8: “No matter the distance---!"

    Attack 9: “Hmph.”

    Attack 10: “Fade.”

    Attack 11: “Strike true.”

    Attack 12: “Witless!”

Extra Attack 1: “You can neither defend nor escape: Hǔ Gǔ Gōng!”

Extra Attack 2: “Be incinerated and disappear!”

Extra Attack 3: “The arrows of Hou Yi fall upon you!”

Noble Phantasm 1: “Once, I struck down nine suns that threatened to scorch the lands and destroy all life. This arrow is a recreation of the moment a sun falls. Behold, Rìguāng Yānmò!”

Noble Phantasm 2: “The purging heat and light will wash away all wickedness and banish all evil. Beast, man, or spirit cannot stand before the death of a sun. Witness your end – Rìguāng Yānmò!”

Noble Phantasm 3: “The legend of a hero can be symbolized by a single action. The true essence of a Noble Phantasm embodies this moment. For me, it is the death of a sun. Burn – Rìguāng Yānmò!”

Noble Phantasm 4: “To be a hero is to be tested. To stand before me is bold. Shall we see if you can survive this arrow? Rìguāng Yānmò!”

Damage from Noble Phantasm 1: “Nnngh---!”

Damage from Noble Phantasm 2: “I… have to make it, Chang’e---!”

    Regular Damage 1: “Ah…”

    Regular Damage 2: “It’s nothing.”

    Defeated 1: “So this is… my defeat…”

    Defeated 2: “Chang’e…”

Defeated 3: “So this is the power of our foe…”

Defeated 4: “I may fall… but this isn’t the end---!”

Battle Finish 1: “They couldn’t stand against a hero.”

Battle Finish 2: “The enemy has been eliminated. A celebration wouldn’t be unwarranted, would it?”

Battle Finish 3: “Once again, my aim is true. They have been utterly destroyed.”

Battle Finish 4: “I won’t ask for your attention, but I hope you’re watching now, Chang’e.”

Bond 1: “As a hero who slew monsters for the sake of humans, my duty is to assist in any way I can.”

Bond 2: “A hero’s legend should shine brightly, and encapsulate the meaning of their actions. Those who don’t shine brightly, those who do not carry with them that resplendence, cannot truly be called heroes.”

Bond 3: “I have no regrets about giving up the mantle of godhood. I slew nine suns and a multitude of beasts and I do not wish to take back any of it. However, if there is one thing that I want to change…”

Bond 4: “That day, I had been preoccupied with a new hunt. Even though the immortality pill had been entrusted to me, I left it behind. And so my wife was alone, with no other option to keep it out of the hands of that traitor. If I’d been there, then perhaps things could have been different…”

Bond 5: “The moon stands as a symbol of my failure, but its gaze is also the gaze of my dear Chang’e. Our separation is painful, but I can feel the warmth of her presence as well. That is why I shall continue to be a shining, resplendent hero. So, Master. No matter what beasts you need slain, no matter what obstacle must be destroyed, my bow will always be ready.”

Dialogue 1: “My arrows will find any mark they must. There is nothing that can escape my view.”

Dialogue 2: “You’ve contracted quite a few heroes, Master. I can only hope they shine as resplendently as their legends.”

Dialogue 3: “That little creature… Fou, you say? Hmmm. I have a feeling that in another time, we would be enemies.”

Dialogue 4(Atalanta): “A lady beast hunter of another land? Splendid. I understand you hunted some of the greatest beasts in Greece. Would you care for an archery competition?”

Dialogue 5(Super Orion): “… In some ways, I feel some level of kinship with the Grecian Superhuman. But in others… Well, at least his legend shines resplendently.”

Dialogue 6(Gilgamesh Archer): “So it is the King of Heroes who shines most brilliantly. No matter what his attitude may be, it’s undeniable he lives up to his status, in both power and pride. Still…”

Dialogue 7(Tawara Touta): “Another archer and slayer of beasts? Excellent. Care to demonstrate the resplendence of your legend? … And the flavor of all that rice, while you’re at it.”

Dialogue 8(BB): “… She may originate from the moon, but this one is absolutely nothing like Chang’e.”

Dialogue 9(Mandricardo): “Hmph. You’ve been summoned as a Servant, you’ve made your place as a heroic spirit, and yet this is how you treat yourself? Those who can say such things should carry themselves with nothing less than the greatest pride.”

Dialogue 10[(Ozymandias): “… Tell me, is that Pharaoh associated with the sun? He is? That explains why I feel so compelled to draw my bow.”

Something you Like: “What I like? Demonstrating the extent of my skills is always enjoyable, as is a lovely cup of tea. One must adequately split their time between their pleasures.”

Something you Hate: “If there is one thing above all else that I cannot abide, it’s thievery. Those who attempt to steal from others never truly comprehend the extent of their actions.”

About the Holy Grail: “The holy grail… It’s an infinite wish-granting device. The kind of prize a hero would claim at the end of their journey. If I had it… I’d wish to be reunited with Chang’e.”

During an Event: “It seems some form of festival is occurring. This is the perfect time for me to demonstrate my archery, is it not?”

Birthday: “Today is your day of birth, isn’t it? Therefore, it’s only fitting to show some form of appreciation. Perhaps you would appreciate some of the finest Chinese tea?”

    Notes:
The second, and last, rewrite of the batch! Admittedly not as much changed as it did with Skuld, I just wanted to elaborate and expand on him. I know Hou Yi's popular as an Archer option, but I liked my take on him and wanted to bring it up to the same standards as my other two Servants so far, especially since I did a new sketch of him. My general goal with him was to make him a bit of a powerhouse. The kind who'd be a big obstacle in a Grail War setup both due to his firepower and his personality. I know there's other way you can interpret the sun-slaying that are less literal, but... I really want to do that supernova NP, okay? I reaaally hope the Chinese for his NPs is right, but relying on online translators is risky business.

    Existence Beyond The Domain- C
Fragment of the icy beyond engraved in Foreigner's Saint Graph. Due to belonging partially in another world, reduces damage from physical and psychic attacks.

    Divinity- B
Divine right of kings coexists with Ithaqua's status as a Great Old One, securing this rank.

    Insanity- D
Ithaqua's influence manifests a hunger for "warmth" in his psyche. Were it not appeased, the god's corruption grows.

    Personal Skills:

    Cloaked In Winter- B
A combination of two anecdotes from Foreigner's reign. His incognito trip to Venice, disguised as the "Count of Oldenburg". And the unusually harsh winter during his stay, so much the lagoon of Venice froze over. Some joked the Danish king brought cold weather with him. Foreigner can manifest a stormsquall-like cloak shrouding him, obscuring his parameters and Skills. Furthermore the temperature drops wherever he goes, air chilling and water freezing. Actually his patron's influence leaking on reality. Foreigner is not immune to this, so he usually bundles warm.

    Innovation: Vornedskab Breaker- C
A unique Skill held by heroes who brought about revolution in their respective eras. A conceptual revolution which subjugates the old to the new. Foreigner abolished the Vornedskab, a kind of serfdom which bound peasants to the land. He can confiscate blessings that come from the land, such as a Caster's Territory or the bonus Servants get summoned in their hometurf, and distribute those effects to everyone in the vicinity. However because Foreigner's reform ultimately failed with the Stavnsbånd law reimposing serfdom, his control can be overturned by a Luck check.

    Vampirism (Warmth)- B
As king Foreigner hunted pleasures of all kinds, particularly from beautiful women. What was thought to be a personal vice actually an attempt to stave off Ithaqua's corruption. Foreigner can drain bodyheat from prolonged contact, placating the Cold within him. However overuse awakens a hunger in his mind, drawing him to take more and more. Delicate balance of this Skill is needed to preserve Foreigner's humanity.

    Noble Phantasm
    Karolinernas Dödsmarsch
Death March To The Frigid Maw

    Rank: B

    Type: Anti-Army

No feat of Foreigner himself but a blessing of his patron. The blizzard that claimed 3000 Swedish soldiers who retreated failing to conquer Norway. As if the land became a beast devouring those who foolishly invaded it. Upon invocation a snowstorm engulfs Foreigner's surroundings, painting visibility to near-zero while enemies are assailed by biting chill. Within this domain rise 3000 frozen wraiths, their souls subjugated to Foreigner's cause. Uniforms tattered and threadbare, skin pale and crossed by arctic veins. Parts of their bodies lost to frostbite replaced by limbs of pure ice.

Forced to renew their tireless march, they thirst for warmth and life, setting on Foreigner's foes as a ravenous horde. Even cut down they reform from snow and ice, part of the blizzard itself. Basic military tactics are drilled into them and they can be directed at Foreigner's command.

Finally, maintaining this Noble Phantasm expedites Foreigner's corruption as an avatar of Ithaqua. His limbs warp and jaw unhinges. He gains monstrous strength and can prowl the snowstorm tearing targets apart. The greatest monster in the blizzard Foreigner himself. He dislikes keeping it active too long, for fear of losing himself.

In the rickety attic a shabby mage finishes the ritual. Old book disintegrates as the attic is bathed in red light. In the circle stands a handsome man dressed in military uniform.

“Well met my Master, I am Servant Caster, the Great Poet Runeberg! As long as you march forward with flame courage in your heart then I will stand by your side, memorising your story!”

Mage Johanna Taikuri broke into laughter. She would show Poskipartas and Edelfelts that the Tattinen family would rule over Vinterträdstad!

Caster Runeberg can construct a Spacious Study where he can write epic poems and have parties. He however won’t spend a lot of time inside of it.

    Verse of Great Poet A

Johan Runeberg is alongside Lönnrot considered to be the National Poet of Finland and together they moulded the Finnish identity. For his poetic skills he was named The First Great Man of Finland. It functions like High-Speed Incantation, but such was Caster’s skill in oration that this skill also Charms enemies and encourages friends.

    Alone was I,
    she came alone;
    past my way
her own way led. She did not stop,
    but thought of stopping,
    she did not speak

    Saturday Club A-

He and his academic friends established a book club that soon transformed into a society aiming to create the Finnish nation. He became the heart of the organization and when moved to another city, the Saturday club withered.

When Caster converses with people with similar backgrounds (poor or academic) or ideologies (conservatism, love of nature or uplifting common folk), he and his interlocutors are invigorated.

Their mental faculties are boosted and their ability to coordinate increases. More similar their mentality is, more potent is the effect. That’s why skill has minus, incompatible people only get minimal boost while compatible get full boost

This is opposite of Minna Cant’s Saloon skill.

“Brothers, sisters, tonight we will discuss Shakespeare’s new book; The Maiden and the Dragon”

[Increase Arts Performance and NP damage greatly for himself. Increase greatly Arts performance and NP damage for allies who have Finnish trait.]

    Ode to the People A

Caster’s is fondly remembered for writing about common people with same awe and dignity that heroes of Greece and Rome were. In the lowly farmer’s faithfulness, old soldier’s bravery and lovers’ unconditional love Runeberg saw same virtus (valour, courage, masculinity) as in the heroes of antiquity.

With this skill Caster can bless any ordinary person (or servant of low birth) with physical might and mental fortitude similarly to Valor skill.

“Rise up men of Vinterträdstad! The monstrous Lancer is coming but despair not! In your hearts I see the same flame of courage that your forefathers had! Have faith in that blazing heat and you will see the sunrise again!”

[B] [Allies gain Mental Depuff Resistance and boost to Attack if they are everyday people or Servants who have no royal blood, and have no divine or supernatural origin (no King, Divinity, Demonic etc. traits)][B]

    Appreciation of the Arts A

Caster is an adoring fan of Greco-Roman literature, plays, and poems, and well-read in Balkan folk poetry, as it was vague back in his youth. He was also a well-connected journalist who kept a close eye on the turbulent stage that was the 19th century of Europe. Thanks to his interests, he can recognise Noble Phantasm (and the Servant) if it has been mentioned in any Greek or Roman text, is part of Balkan folklore, or they were newsworthy in the 1800s.

“Of course I would recognise you from those skeleton warriors, Princess of Colchis! You were the subject of my master’s thesis!”

Young man charges the wyverns while old man manifests a regiment standard. While the young man is whacking the dragons with butt of his musket, men clad in blue jackets and triangle hats manifest and aim their muskets.]

The Tales of Ensing Stål, a collection of poems based on stories of veterans, had a remarkable effect on Finnish culture. The book alongside Kalevala shaped the national identity, gave common folk a sense of pride and even gave the nation its anthem. It was Caster’s magnum opus and no wonder its verses became his Noble Phantasm.

Instead of appearing as a book or a gun, the Noble Phantasm is activated by Caster reciting his poems from the book, causing the characters of the poem to appear. The characters of the poem are both imaginary, real persons, or amalgams of real people from the Finnish War of 1808. Fundamentally, these characters are but phantom spirits, unfit to become true heroic spirits, but through the Caster's literal work have gained their moment in the limelight. While most of these are physically weak and lack skills, with the exception being those listed next. Each summon does drain mana, so Runeberg must be careful who and how many he calls forth.

Power to summon warrior’s spirits was a talent many sages of the Kaleva knew, including Lemminkäinen. This noble phantasm is the same in spirit.

    Most notable are summons:

    Ensign Stål

The old soldier who told the young student his war stories.

He is the namesake of Tales of Ensing Stål and the one who tells all the stories in the novel. Stål is an amalgamation of three veterans Runeberg met in Ruosvesi. Despite looking like an old man, Stål is the strongest spirit that Caster can summon. So strong, in fact, that he can be mistaken for a real Servant.

Stål is a grumpy geezer, but he loves to tell his war stories. He has an iron-clad sense of honour and refuses to act against his code even if Runeberg or one of the generals commands him.

Stål’s physical parameters are equal to base Raider servant’s stats (C/C/B) with him using Runeberg’s Luck stat. Stål was a dragoon in his youth, so he can summon a horse for mobility and has a cavalry sabre as a weapon. He also possesses more skills than other summoned phantoms:

Valor A: Ensing Stål is the Caster’s ideal soldier, as brave and masculine as a hero of Antiquity. Increased mental defence and melee attack.

Veteran B: Old Stål is the quintessential veteran of Finnish literature (well, before WW2). The skill gives Stål (and to Caster and Master) an ironclad mental fortitude that lets them keep their wits in any circumstances.

Storyteller B: As stated before, he is the fictional storyteller of all war stories in the book. The skill that displays one's amazing eloquence in verbally narrating tales and legends.

Standard Bearer A: A unique skill which allows him to be a “spawn point” for Caster’s other summons, especially for the Pori regiment, and improves the courage of everyone around him. One of his phantoms was the standard bearer of that regiment. Stål likes to pretend that this is his “Nobel Phantasm” to fool his Master’s enemies.

“Don’t worry, young master. I may be old, but I am tough as my name.”

    Sven Dufva

The simple-minded but brave soldier who courageously gives his life to stop an overwhelming enemy. He is a fictitious character, but his battle was based on the Battle of Koljonvirta. He is best described as a himbo: handsome, strong, and an absolute klutz. He is incapable of doing anything right except heroic sacrifices, leading a lot of broken dinner plates, crashed cars, and escaped zoo animals. Though he does raise others' morale with his humorous escapades. Physically, he has Lancer servants’ parameters (B/C/A) and is armed with a musket. He has the following skills:

Topsy-Turvy Ex: A skill that makes him do the opposite of what he is ordered to do and reverse any imposed condition. So, if anyone poisons him, then he feels better than ever; fear just makes him brave, or if he is ordered to retreat, he instead charges the enemy. A strong skill, but it will get tiresome for Master and Runeberg to remember to give him reversed orders.

Brave Heart A: Evoking Sven Dufva's story's last line, only his courageous heart is needed for him to fight. Combination of Battle Continuation and Valor. Cut his hand off, slice open his gut, or decapitate him, it won’t stop him from fighting bravely, without an ounce of fear. Only a direct hit to the heart can stop him.

Stop the Tide A: A last stand skill that allows him to stop overwhelming force. The skill boosts his parameters to match the opponent. This, however, overloads his spiritual core and quickly causes him to disintegrate. Even if the enemy should be all means unstoppable, Sven has the conceptual weight [Sven Dufva gave his life to stop the enemy], allowing him to stop the target even for a second.

“Master Taikuri stared at the hole where her workshop was.
Sven Dufva, wearing an apron and cook’s hat, and holding a muffin tin filled with burning cupcakes.
“Sorry, Master, I don't know what went wrong.”

    Lotta Svärd

Lotta Svärd was an old, motherly and patriotic woman who travelled with the Swedish army, manning the field kitchen, pathing up soldiers and selling booze. Many Nordic women's auxiliary movements named themselves after her. Lotta’s talent is healing and empowering others with her booze bottles, but she can also turn her bottles into Molotov cocktails. While she is no fighter, her parameters are those of Saber for some reason…

And now that you think about it, she looks just like …

“Soldier, you look pale. Here, have some Granny Svärd’s medicine. The drink will light your flame within.”

    Governor Olof Wibelius

Old governor of Savolax and Karelia County who refused to follow General von Buxhoevden orders, citing them as illegal. Wibelius is no fighter, but he is a master of bureaucracy. While this doesn’t sound threatening, he can turn the local government against Mage and his associates, snoop out magical points of interest from lack of information, and in turn make the local officials dance to his tune.

“According to the archive, the Poskiparta family also owns a cottage in the Hiidenlähde forest. And they have not paid their property taxes for seven years.”

    Björneborgs County's Infantry Regiment

The famous Pori Regiment, exalted in songs. “March of the Björneborgers’” is the honorary march of the Finnish Defence Forces, played to the President, and is the Estonian Defence Forces’ official honorary march. Caster can summon them in bulk as his main form of attack, though each lineman is hardly stronger than a mortal man.

    “Shine bright, our victorious banner!
Torn by distant battles of days gone by,
Be proud, our noble, tattered Standard!
There is still a piece of Finland’s ancient Colours left!”

    Generals

Caster wrote many poems about the leaders of the Swedish army, including the generals J. Sandels, G. Döbeln, and C. Adlercreutz, and can summon them for advice on combat matters – which is needed, because Caster has no experience in real warfare.

Caster: “Charge the enemy, the brave meMMMPH!?”
Sandels (while covering Caster's mouth): “Two scores of you will fire at the Saber!”
Döbeln: ”While the rest of you will flank from both sides!”
Adlercreutz: “Enough with infantry, Poet! Conjure us some cavalry and cannons!”

[“In game,” it’s not used, and summons instead act as Caster attacks. Sven Dufva makes Buster attacks, Stål makes a charge on horse in Quick attacks, and with Arts, Lotta Särd throws a Molotov cocktail at the enemy. In the extra attack, Pori Regiment fires at the enemy.]

Our land, our land, our Fatherland!
Ring out, dear word, oh sound!
No rising hill, or mountain grand,
No sloping dale, no northern strand,

    Vårt Land A+
    Anti-Army (Self)

[Weary linemen and terrified townsfolk look at the bloody axe-wielding Berserker. Caster starts to sing, and the eyes of summons and mortals are filled with golden hope. They charge at the Berserker, getting horribly maimed and slaughtered but never stopping their attack until one lineman manages to shove a bayonet through the Berserker’s eye.]

Of all the poems in Tales of Ensign Stål, one stands above all else. The first poem, “Our Land”, was made in prelude for the Mad Year of Europa, a counter to revolutionary ideals and celebration of Finnish nature, the endurance of Finnish people, and hope for a bright future (without any revolutions). German immigrant Fredrik Pacius composed music for it, and Runeberg included his musical notation in the second printing of Tales. The song then became the de facto national anthem of Finland.

The Rune Songs are the mystic tradition of Finnic people. It is no wonder that their anthem itself has become verses of power.

Noble Phantasm Vårt Land has a multitude of effects that empower others, while also rebuking incitement-based skills and Noble Phantasms. When NP’s true name is revealed, Caster nominates those who are in earshot are affected – usually his summons or strong allies. Then, three effects are applied in order.

The First effect is [Love of Land]: targets are filled to the brim with love for their homeland (regardless of how lovable it is). This pure patriotic love removes any mental debuffs that targets are suffering, including terror, sleep, and mind control. This shared love also improves coordination with those who feel similarly, even if they aren’t from the same land. And finally, the people under the Noble Phantasm become fiercely loyal to their land, comrades, and blood relatives.

The Second effect is [Endurance of Forefather]: affected understand the pain and suffering their ancestors went through. As manly tears run down their cheeks their minds and body become tough as juniper wood: they may bend but won’t break under pressure. Physical wounds and mental stress still hurt but can’t take them out. This effect is similar to Sisu™ skill. Finns are after all sometimes called the Juniper Folk.

The Third effect is [Song’s Highest Echo]: as affected do take damage, gain stress, and face misfortunes of all shapes, a secondary boost is being charged. As the song reaches its crescendo, the Noble Phantasm releases its final boon – a surge of power, renewed hope, and shining joy fills them. For a glorious moment, even a little mortal boy becomes strong enough to fight a Servant head-on, while a run-of-the-mill Servant can take on the King of Heroes. The amount of physical, mental, and luck boosts to allies gets is proportional to the damage taken, stress accumulated, and misfortune endured during the Noble Phantasm.

The poem promised that one day the poor, beaten and conquered land would blossom with love, joy and hope. And as one compares the Finland of 1844 and modern Finland, they see that promise is fulfilled. Thus, the power of this Noble Phantasm is tied to [Happiness of Finns] , if they are happier than in the 1800s then Vårt Land’s power grows. If not, then the Vårt Land becomes sealed.

In addition, the Noble Phantasm has an anti-revolution effect (as it was made to counter the Mad Year of Europa). It can negate skills and other Noble Phantasm that are based on revolutionary events, persons, ideologies, and other effects that threaten social
    stagnation
    harmony
    .

[“In game”, the NP first removes all debuffs from the party. Then it increases mental debuff resistances and gives a stack of Guts to allies. After guts have been used, allies gain a boost to attack, defence, and critical damage, plus their NP gauge is filled.]

Thy blossom, hidden now from sight,
Shall burst its bud ere long.
Lo! from our love, shall rise aright,
Thy sun, thy hope, thy joy, thy light,
And higher, once, fuller and stronger,
    Shall ring Our Country's song.

    HISTORY HISTORY

Caster was the firstborn of Lorentz Ulrik Runeberg and Anna Maria Malm, who had great ancestors but poor finances. His father had to abandon his academic career and become a sailor to support his family. Lorentz spent many years at sea without seeing his family. Despite this, Runeberg’s had a big, warm family, but to Johan his childhood was miserable: he suffered from scrofula, and he could not walk before his 4th birthday. The other kids made fun of his poverty and spread rumours that Lorentz wasn’t Johan’s father. He hated his life in his hometown so much that he was overjoyed to leave to study in Oulu and later in Vasa at the age of eight. For the rest of his life, he refused to talk about his childhood, and people talking about their happy childhoods gave him a foul mood.

He excelled in school, fell love with poetry in Vasa, and was able to go study at the University of Turku in 1822, with the help of his uncle, the Archbishop Jacob Tengström. There had been a scandal in the university when two professors and a docent were fired for anti-Russian Empire activities and supporting European revolutionary ideals. Runeberg thought they had been fools. In university, he studied philosophy, fell love with poetry, and joined the Ostrobothnia Society, where he made many friends, including J.J. Nervander (poet, physicist, and meteorologist), J. V. Snellman (journalist, statesman, and upcoming Berserker), and young, poor, but brilliant man named Elias Lönnrot.

To fund his studies, worked as a tutor in Saarijärvi and Ruosvesi villages. Runeberg was inspired by the natural beauty of Saarijärvi and its hard-working peasants. To honour their determination, guts, and unwavering faith in providence, Johan wrote a poem, “Bonden Paavo”. This would become one of his most well-known poems, and it created an idealistic image of plucky and pious Finnish peasants for the Finnish intelligentsia. He also wrote a deep dissertation about the region, life, and customs of Saarijärvi, which not only moulded Caster’s conception of motherland but also made him famous in the Russian Empire.

In Ruosvesi, Johan was acquainted with veterans of the Finnish War (1809), which included his host, Captain Erik Gustaf af Enehjelm. However, even more important veterans he met were ensign Karl Gustaf Polviander, the standard bearer of the Pori regiment and who became Runeberg’s good friend and hunting partner; Fredrik Adolf Pelander, veteran of Kustaa III war (1788-90) and a poor vagabond who lived in a small cottage on Enehjelm’s lands; and Karl Palmroth, Captain of Pori’s regiment, veteran of both Kustaa III and Finnish wars, and the sheriff Ruosvesi, who often visited Enehjelms. The veterans told stories from the wars to Johan, and from these tales sprouted the idea for his future magnum opus.

    And for its title character.

In 1827, Runeberg became a Master of Philosophy, with his master’s thesis being an analysis of playwrights Seneca’s and Euripides' takes on Madea. That summer, he was working as a tutor for Tengström’s children in Pargas when he met the archbishop's niece (and his second cousin), Fredrika Tengstörm, a woman of equal literary talent – and his future wife. In that September, the city of Turku was destroyed in a great fire, so the whole university, with Runeberg and others, moved to Helsinki.

In Helsinki, he and his friends founded The Saturday Club, which started as an enthusiastic literary and philosophy club, but later the Club’s aim became the creation of the Finnish nation. Many upcoming writers, journalists, and politicians joined the club, which led to the creation of connections and bonds that would reshape the future of Finland. While the club's president was first Nevander and then Snellman, Runeberg was the heart of the Saturday Club. His calm humour balanced Snellman’s relentless logic and Nevander’s biting sarcasm. Saturday Club also founded the Helsingfors Morgonblad -paper, the Helsingfors lyceum school, and the Finnish Literature Society.

By that time in Helsinki, he and Fredrika had engaged. Runberg made a living as a poet, journalist, and a teacher and later the, while Fredrika worked also as a journalist (the first female one in Finland), and both would rent an extra room for students and tutor them. Including one young Zacharias Topelius Jr.

The Caster’s poetic style was taking shape. His was inspired by Finnish nature, old stories of Greek heroes, and the Balkan folk songs (they were a fad back then). He published his first poem collection, Dikter (that included the poem “Bonden Paavo”) and with its sales he and Fredrika could get married. And the following year they were blessed with their first child Anna Carolina.

She died from fever 18 months later.

Her death was traumatic for both Johan and Fredrika. But sorrow didn’t drive away Runeberg’s muse. He wrote a 1000 hexameters long poem collection “Elgskyttarne” (Elk hunters), an idealistic and idyllic depiction of Finnish people and their traditions (though lacking in elk hunting), and Caster published “Hanna”, an epic poem set in a parsonage during a summer. Both epics are ultimately romantic stories that describe the Finnish people as loyal, humble, diligent, and self-sufficient. The family did grow with two sons and Runeberg became the Docent of Rhetoric. Despite the growing workload, Johan still had time to go to downtown every evening…

In 1837 Runeberg was offered a position of Lecturer of Roman Literature in Borgå gymnasium and Johan and his family moved to a new town. This sadly caused the Saturday Club to whither, but its members continued its mission to awaken the Finnish spirit. The position came with membership to Borgå’s Lutheran chapter, so Johan was ordained as priest. While he never worked as a priest, he still loved the priest's cassock (most likely reminding him of his uncle), and the clothing became his image.

Borgå was a sleepy town compared to Helsinki. Settling was slow for Fredrika, as her old circle of friends had remained in Helsinki. Johan other hand, settled in Porvoo extremely well, enjoying wild parties where he recited poems, long hunting and fishing trips, and chasing after beautiful women. Managing the family’s economy was left to Fredrika while Runeberg focused on his job, establishing a newspaper, travelling, and writing love poems for his crushes. This left her little time to write, especially after she and Johan had five more sons. The true Seven Brothers. Sadly, the sixth son, Edvard, would die from measles just as seventh son was born.

While losing a second child was tragic, Runberg was having great time! He had become a professor, he had the respect of students, the love of women of Borgå and fame and fortune as he his text spread to Sweden and Russia. From them Caster received medals, honours and grants.

Yet the winds of revolution from the south made Caster shiver. The political unrest across the continent heralded the coming of the Mad Year of Europa, and the conservative poet could feel it in his bones. So, in this critical moment, he gave his “Vårt Land” poem to his students and started to write a story that could spare his land from the madness of revolutions.

    His magnum opus.

    The Tales of Ensign Stål

The first book was released just as the new Napoleon rose to the throne. The book contained the “Vårt Land” poem and 17 short stories and poems. The general tone of the book’s stories is conservatively patriotic but at the same time often humorous; the book had a decisive influence on the formation of Finnish patriotism and its neo-humanist nature. Runeberg emphasizes the poverty of the Finnish people and contentment with their fate, but at the same time loyalty and bravery, and the promise of a bright future without needing a bloody revolution.

Yet for all his writing of loyalty, Runeberg had started an affair with young, beautiful, and very talented writer Emilie Björkstén. Between writing love poems and secret meetings with Emilie, he focused most of the 1850s on writing hymns. Fredrika on other hand had time to write her own great novels, learning Finnish from Kalevala and establish a school for poor families’ girls.

By this point, Johan was already famous across Finland, Russia, and Sweden – so much that people started to call him “The first Finnish Great Man“ while he was still alive. His works had been translated into Finnish since 1840 and were beloved by people of every estate, both in Finland and in neighbouring countries. On 5.2.1854, on Runeberg’s birthday, the students of Borgå gathered outside his home in the morning and sang him the “Vårt Land”, while Fredrika made a peculiar pastry that she gave to Johan and the students. From that day on, the fifth of February became Runeberg's Day, and it has been celebrated ever since.

After retiring from lecturing and getting fed up with hymns, Runeberg was inspired by the new political environment (Crimean War, improved economy, and the rise of Finnish identity thanks to he work of the Saturday Club’s previous members), and pleading from his boys, he decided to write the second part of The Tales of Ensign Stål. It was released in 1860 and was a more bellicose, historical, and anti-Russian text.

Alas, all stories have ended, and Johan was long and miserable. In 1863, while hunting, he was struck with a stroke and was paralysed. Runeberg spent the rest of his life in bed, depressed, and relying on his wife, Fredrika, until he died in 1877. Maybe fate has a weird sense of comedy, but Fredrika and Emilie became friends after Johan had a stroke.

His funeral was a grand but solemn event. The funeral guests came from Helsinki in three train carriages, and the entire Diet participated in the funeral. The route of the funeral procession from Runeberg's home was covered with spruce needles and bordered with small spruces. The procession was so long that when the beginning of it was already at the grave, the last ones had not yet left the Poet's home. Johan’s old friend J. V. Snellman gave the eulogy on behalf of the entire nation.

Afterwards, veneration of his memory reached cult-like proportions. The Statue of Runeberg, paid for by fundraising and sculpted by his son Walter, was unveiled with great celebration in Helsinki in 1885. The Runeberg home was bought with state funds from the heirs, restored, and opened to the public as a museum home in 1882.

In particular, the Caster’s saint- or kinglike figure was cultivated during the political upheavals at the turn of the century, when the powers that be used him as an idol to keep the populace in line. Ensing Stål's stories were distributed to the public for free both then and during the Winter War. Stål's many passages formed Finland's first own collection of memes, because almost all Finns had to read the book in school.

    PERSONALITY PERSONALITY

Caster is a man of many sides. Physically, he appears in his prime, tall, dark, and radiating masculinity. Runeberg loves the outdoors, beautiful landscapes, and hunting and fishing in them. His voice is at the same time strong and soft, his speech is beautiful and fluent, and he is one of the great wordsmiths capable of making even stone cry. Caster is an insightful and inquisitive man, excellent at journalism and teaching, in writing and oration, and can recite poems from memory. Topelius noted his sense of humour and how Runeberg became the heart of the Saturday Club.

Which leads to his major flaw as a person: he is an unapologetic womanizer. He will let his lust take over and chase shirts, hoping to charm women with his honeyed words, and sees no wrong in affairs. Yet, at the same time, Runeberg is a selfish, jealous, and demanding lover. Let's not spare words, he is a chauvinist pig. Caster becomes easily possessive and can’t stand that others lust after his objects of lust. His minor flaws are his easy flaring temperament, impulsiveness, and arrogance – which will lead him to do foolish things like trying to win a race against a premodern Rider with a normal cart.

Caster’s morality is rather idealistic. To him, what matters isn’t one’s social status or background, what matters is if they are brave, generous, or loyal. He celebrates those who live up to his ideals, helps them anyway he can, and becomes their greatest fan, speaking about them in the same reverence one might talk about Heracles. But if someone goes against his morals – if they are cowards, break a vow, or are greedy- then they are a villain regardless of the situation.

For example, Runeberg demonized the commander of Sea Fortress Viapori, Carl Olof Cronstedt, in Tales for surrendering to Russians only after two mouths of siege and calling him a traitor. He ignored details like: winter had frozen sea around fortress, the fortress had run out of gunpowder, and they had a large civilian population in the fortress. Not to mention officers had no misplaced hope for Swedish army coming to save them.

Caster is also very careful about spending money to the point of misery, and he is also, as it should be clear now, very conservative.

    FIGHTING STYLE FIGHTING STYLE

Runeberg is primarily a buffing caster. Many of his skills enhance others: Verse of Great Poet buffs himself and others while charming enemies, Ode to the People can empower not only Servants’ but also living humans’ bravery and strength to mythic levels, while Saturday Club invigorates others mentally – if they sync with Runeberg’s ideals. His Appreciation of the Arts covers a significant number of great Servants, making it a godsend in most HGWs.

Altogether, Caster is an amazing force multiplier and can turn his Master’s mortal supporters into a force that can make enemy servants … slow down a few seconds, to be brutally honest. In a classic HGW, Runeberg must rely on his own summons and buff them up. Were he summoned in a war that is based on teamwork…

While expensive, his soldiers can in bulk give average servants fair fight. Caster is better find a good leyline to pay the cost. If they claim a weak one, they may only have extra mana for a few linemen. Find a deep one, then he may manifest the full regiment.

If possible, he will send Stål as his proxy to face other servants. Stål is easy to be mistaken for a true servant (if a weak one), especially if he and Runeberg coordinate the use of the Standard Bearer skill and make it appear as a Noble Phantasm. Opponents might only realise something is up when the same Raider appears again after he was slain. The old soldier is a brave and steadfast fighter, but he has a rigid code of honour.

Caster uses Sven Dufva as a defensive measure against tougher enemies and as a wild card against tactical enemies. His antics confuse enemies, his Brave Heart will freak opponents out, and the Stop the Tide skill allows him to punch way above his weight at the cost of his life – but the Caster just summons new Sven if needed.

Lotta Svärd and Governor Wibelius are more supportive spirits, but very useful. Lotta is an excellent healer, cook, and bartender, and Wibelius opens a new angle of attack and is a great information gatherer. The Pori Regiment acts as Caster's main form of attack, but without the Generals' advice, Runeberg tends to use them poorly, sending them to glorious but ineffective charges.

Vårt Land is best used when a Caster's allies are facing a stronger enemy. The more those buffed by Noble Phantasm struggle, the greater the final verse will be. But if everyone dies before that time, the effect is wasted. So, Caster must be sure the fight is possible to overcome.

    DIALOGUE DIALOGUE

    Bond 1:

“A gracious morning to you, Master. What is your plan for today?”

    Bond 2:

“Master, may I come with you to singularity? I believe my stout soldiers would be a great help.

…Hehehee. True. I have another objective, Master.

(The Caster’s cheerful look turned into desperation)

I need to get out, to see the clear sky, smell the forest, and taste clear waters!
The cold steel, cheap plastic, and gleaming glass are crushing my soul!”

    Bond 3:

“I see you have quite a collection of lovely ladies pinning for your hand. Hahaha. there is nothing wrong with that, a man should enjoy the blossoming flowers of fertile fields. Hahaa!

Just don’t smell the same flowers as I do, Master.”

    Bond 4:

“You also were acquainted with a wise veteran? Do you remember his words, his tales?

This makes my memories flow again, of that warm summer – those old faces, steady voices. Those three brave men, unequal in luck but still standing equal in my mind.

Please, Ritsuka, share with me your old friend’s words. I shall carve them into my heart, so evermore I can recite them.”

    Bond 5:

“You say you are nothing more than a normal person. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t extraordinary, Ritsuka. A spineless person could not have come this far.
No, you have virtus like no one I have ever seen. March forward, Ritsuka. The road is long, and the struggle is harsh, But! By enduring, you will grow stronger! My song shall raise your spirit to highest glory!”

    Relationship with Master:

“I am your loyal and courageous Servant, but if you allow it, I will also be your chronicle, writing down your and all of Chaldea’s stories.”

    Likes:

“Sounds and sights of nature bring bliss to my soul. As does the taste and touch of women.”

    Dislikes:

“I used to like to stay inside, waiting for others to have parties with us. But after those horrible 13 years, I have come to despise the walls and the sealings.

…Master, when is the next supply run?”

    Wish:

“For Anna’s and Edvard’s death be undone and them living to old age.”

Caster face is serious and eyes without mirth.
Yes, for all his shirt chasing, he still was a good father.

Servant with Bond 5 or higher:

“Master, are you seeing someone else?! With my powers, you won’t need anyone else! You should just send them back to the Throne!”

    The Stalker Trio:

“Unhand me, you alluring, yet heavy-handed, ladies! I have done not- Oh Ritsuka, please save me from these three foolish women! This isn’t the menage a quarte I dreamed of!”

“Anchin-Sama, this perverted poet tried to read your diary.”

    Elias Lönnrot:

”Elias! Oh, my old friend! How are you? Have you yet met the heroes of your poems?

There is a man like no other. Elias is a true renaissance man, a folklorist, a doctor, a botanist, and an inventor! And on top of that, he is a true wordsmith, he invented a hundred new words…”

The poet just keeps on going, eyes shining, while his fellow Caster is looking for an escape route from all this praise.

    J.V. Snellman:

"My oh so logical friend always struck his axe against a rock, but it is to his credit that he has always struck. As a Berserker, he maybe can now break the stone as well!"

The aforementioned Berserker throws a newspaper at him with the force of a cannonball.

    Zacharias Topelius:

“Zachris, come here! It was like yesterday when you stood at my and Fredrikas' doorstep, looking like an overenthusiastic puppy! I didn’t see you there, Master. Come and meet my kouhai.”

    Minna Canth:

“What an infuriating woman! How dare she call me horny goat!
And say it with perfect elegance and burning passion!
I have never met a woman so- so-
    enthralling!”

Runeberg seems to have an intelligence kink.

    Marchal Mannerheim:

“It warms my heart that in our moment of need, a courageous and noble man rose to meet the challenge and lead the nation! He is just like Sandels or Kulnev or von Döbeln!”

Poet is, unsurprisingly, a big fan of old-fashioned marshal.

    Seven Brothers:

“Behold the humble and self-reliant spirit of the peasants of Finland!”

    (Sounds of drinking and fighting)

    “…Stop drinking and fighting already!”

The most famous Finnish brotherly septet is hardly the ideal farmers that Runeberg imagined.

    Antti Isotalo:

    ”…”

    ”Look at me, Poet!

    ”…”

“Am I not the bravest man in Ostrobothnia?!

    ”…”

“Don’t you want to sing about my brave adventures?”

Caster tries to ignore the infamous Saber of Knife Junkers.

    The Lion of The North:

“If only he had been the King of Sweden back then…”

    Heroes of Kalevala:

“To meet the myths Elias always talked about … it's overwhelming.
My tongue becomes lead, my voice croaks, and words become babbling.
I can feel, no, I taste the weight of their songs.”

    Kaleva:

    “The forefather of Finnish people?
Saying goes that we stand on the shoulders of giants.
But I never thought it would be literal!”

    Solon:

“What a peculiar creature… But his flair for dramatics is magnificent.

…? Yes, I understood him clearly.”

Heroes of the Creek and Rome:
“AAAH! It's Achilles! And Hercules! Is that Aeneas?!
    Dear God, this radiating vitrus!
Oh, is this what all those adoring fans felt when they met me?”

Greuceanu, Harap Alb, Ileana Simziana, Păcală, Făt-Frumos, Doamna Zinelor, Kostandini, Krum, Vuk Grgurević, Muma Pădurii, Janos Hunyadi, Nora of Kelmend, Stefan Tvrtko I Kotromanich and many more Balkan heroes:

“To see those heroes on the mountains and valleys of the Balkan – it’s as exhilarating as meeting the legends of Greece and Rome! If you would be so kind, could you tell your account of your adventures?”

Maximilien Robespierre, Vladimir Lenin, Che Guevara, George Washington:

“You are the instigators of bloody revolutions! My song shall banish you to kingdom come!”

    The majority of Female Servants:

“To you, the most beautiful lady of Chaldea, I have made this poem for you!”

To his credit, every poem is unique and fits the recipient perfectly.

    Mordred:

“Master, why do you insist on keeping this traitor around? She is bound to backstab us!”

    Penthesilea:

    SWEET MERCIFUL BUDDHA!

    Madea:

“What a wonderful opportunity. Did you know my thesis was about Madea of Clothis? I wrote about how two ancient playwrights presented her. I personally thought Seneca's discouraged, desperate, and unloved woman was most compelling. Now I have changed to see if my thesis was correct. And maybe to give that lonely princess love she deserves, hehe…”

    …Better get saints ready.

    Nero:

“You are pulling my leg? That bodacious blonde is Emperor Nero?

Well, I remember reading that they were great patrons of the arts. I'd better introduce myself and maybe invite her to a personal poetry session.”

Caster was later seen with earmuffs and lifeless eyes.

    Carmilla:

“The stories told how dangerous vampires were, but they could not describe how alluring they were…”

    Tamanos:

“MASTER SAVE ME, THEY'RE GOING AFTER MY MANHOOD!”

    Murasaki Shikibu:

“Miss Shikibu, I am always free for a personal poetry session.
-Oh you have plans for the evening?”

    Kyokutei Bakin:

“Great Bakin (and lovely Michi), would you like to talk about the eight virtues alongside some tea?
-Oh you have plans for the evening?”

    Sei Shounagon:

    “Ever as energetic, Miss Shounagon!
Well, I hope you have some left - I came up with a poem about pillows and -
-Oh you too have something planned?”

    Scheherazade:

“Flower of dessert, may I tell you a story of brave…

    Your evening is already full?”

    A certain combination of servants:

    “…Runeberg, what are you doing?”

The Poet is crouching in front of a door, pressing his ear to it.

    “Hysh, Fujimaru.
I am investigating what is keeping our beautiful writers preoccupied.
All have spurned my honest invitations to spend some splendid time with me.”

‘Maybe they just don’t like that you keep trying to charm them’, thought Fujimaru.

“I can hear all four there, chatting merrily and laughing…
    Hmm, did I hear a man’s voice?”

Runeberg’s face turns green from jealousy.

“Who wretched and honourless rat is going after MY…”

Suddenly, Caster’s face just freezes. He stands up and hits the door control panel.

    Door opens and…

    “LÖNNROT YOU JUDAS!”

“It isn’t what it looks like!”

'So this is what it looks like from the outside…'

    CRAFT ESSESNCE CRAFT ESSENCE

    Runeberg's torte

    Source

    INGREDIENTS

    THE CAKE

    125g butter (room temperature)
    140g granulated sugar
    2 medium eggs
    100ml cream
¼ tsp of bitter almond extract
38g breadcrumbs (crushed gingerbread or a mix of the two)
    48g fine almond flour
    25g crushed almonds
    140g wheat flour
    2 tsp cardamom (+ a hunch)
    0,5 tbsp vanilla sugar
    1 tsp baking powder

    RUM WATER

    125ml water
    1 tbsp sugar
50ml rum, punch, or similar liqueur

    DECORATING

    quality raspberry jam
confectioner's sugar + water for frosting

    METHOD

    1.
Grease your tins or muffin molds with a little bit of butter and add a touch of breadcrumbs. If using open ring tins, prepare a baking tray with parchment paper. Preheat oven 200°C | 390°F (without fan).

    2.
Measure and mix all dry ingredients. Cream the butter and sugar by hand or with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add one egg at a time into the butter batter and beware of curdling. Finally, mix and fold the dry ingredients into the batter by alternating with the almond extract-spiked cream.

    3.
Spoon the batter into the baking tins leaving 1,5 cm (0.6 inches) from the ring edge. The batter surface does not have to be smooth because the top of the torte is cut off when baked.

    4.
Bake tortes on the middle rack for 20 minutes (do not overbake). When using ring tins, carefully remove the tins when the tortes are hot. Mittens or holders are advised. Let the pastries cool before soaking and decorating them.

    5.
Prepare the rum water. Boil water and sugar in a small saucepan. Add rum to simmer. Taste if the liquid mix is strong enough to your liking. Add a hunch more liqueur if you're unsure but bear in mind how much bitter almond you used in the batter. Set the liquid aside to cool completely before soaking the tortes.

    6.
Soak the pastries one by one in rum water. Place the torte top down into the liquid for 2 seconds, then turn it on one side, and roll 360 degrees as quickly as you can. Set the torte aside on a separate plate bottom down. Do not soak the bottom of the pastry as the rum water will now run through the whole body of the pastry.

    7.
Store the soaked tortes in the fridge.

    8.
Decorate the tortes just before serving with raspberry jam and sugar frosting.

    9.
Instead of rum, you can use punch or another type of sweet liqueur. For a non-alcoholic version, sweetened lemon & pomegranate water is wonderful. The decorated tortes are to be stored in a fridge in an airtight box for a few days.

    AUTHOR NOTES AUTHOR NOTES

Here is my first modern servant. Last winter I decided that beside Kalevala character, I will also write historical and folklore servants. I currently have a list with about 30 names and a lot of notes. I have even gone to library to borrow anthropology book, biographies and researched old scientific journals.

I originally thought I would post these modern servants on their Flag Day, but unfortunately, I have to write actual research papers, so Runeberg's day went its way. I did finish this sheet while back, but I was too busy with making and rehearsing a public presentation.
I used online biography and Wikipedia as source. Here is the biography (in Finnish). I should have tried to read a larger biography to get his personality better, but I hope this was enough.

Runeberg happened to be the Finn with the first flag day (February 5), so I started with him. His face is Reinhardt from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, while the art is from Fire Emblem Heroes. I could not find a good anime styled priest to evoke his signature costume (stupid AI art) so I went for something that evoked a Napoleonic officer. Reinhardt has a great look that feels like a mixture of officer's clothing and priest's garment.

    See you soon!

    Thank you for reading!

    What do you think?

Is the recipe for torte clear?

While I know this might be already fairly obvious for anyone, but what exactly could be the definitive qualifications of Pretender? Like, I can't help but laugh whenever any mention of Pretender appear in FGO and every explanation seems to be different despite keeping the core idea of deception, or related to it.

Tangentially related to the Servant Sheet you are about to read, but I find it unfortunate that the spell "ガンド" used by Tohsaka Rin and others is translated as "Gandr" into English which whilst etymologically related is still distinct from the "Gandskudd" that Nasu intended her to use. Sadly much like Root, I suspect that Gandr has been too grandfathered in for it to be likely to change. But I digress, without any further ado here is the sheet I promised.

    ----

    Archer

Master: “Are you okay to keep going? If your Wish isn’t your own, you don’t have to force yourself to fight just for my sake…
Archer: “Even if my memories aren’t real, I’m still a Heroic Spirit and so I’ll keep my promise to deliver the Holy Grail to you. That’s all that matters to me right now.

Elph (left) and the Elf Queen (right)

    True Name: Tam Lin Elph
    Epithet: “The Fairies’ Cup Bearer
    Region: Scotland (British Folklore)
    Alignment: True Neutral
    Likes: Animals, Solitude
    Dislikes: Church, Water
    Talents: Farming, Singing
    Natural Enemy: Phemie Irving

    Parameters
    STR: (B) END: (C) AGI: (B) MGI: (B) LCK: (C) NP: (A)

    Character
Archer takes the form of Tam Lin Elph, the proud Faerie Knight (Tam Lin) who serves the Elf Queen as her Cupbearer.

As befitting of a high ranking fairy, Elph is aloof and detached from human affairs, only here at all in order to advance the interests of the Elf Queen whom he agreed to serve in exchange for a kiss. However in secret he is plagued by troubling dreams - ones in which he is riding through the night trying to escape the cold embrace of a corpse clinging to him and refusing to let go until it has kissed him. All the while it is trying to say something to him but Elph just cannot make out the words between the howling wind and the thumping of his heart. The longer Elph persists within the Holy Grail War, the clearer the corpse’s words become until finally the moonlight shines upon her face and at last Elph recognises her as the Scottish lass, Phemie Irving. She is screaming to him to wake up and remember who he really is - her twin brother Elphin Irving who was deceived by the Elf Queen and forced to serve her, with his True Name taken away and shortened down to “Elph” as a way to remove his human memories. In frustration, Elph shouts back at the corpse that she is just a delusional farmgirl who couldn’t accept that her brother died in a storm trying to protect their sheep and so she made up a fanciful story to tell the townsfolk, until they eventually managed to pull his body from the river and the truth shattered Phemie’s mind and she died of grief. This accursed tale is why the river based fairy Elph has developed an embarrassing phobia of water since the story of the Irving twins has grafted itself onto the Saint Graph of Elph. Despite his rebuttal, Elph is deeply shaken by the accusation and begins to fear what the real answer might truly be.

In a Holy Grail War, the sword Elph carries by his side is mostly for ceremonial purposes and he instead lives up to his Class of Archer by using the powerful “Elf-Shot” curse to snipe at enemies from a safe distance (complete with a surprisingly childish habit to say “bang” when firing). For some reason, Elph refuses to draw his sword for anything but the execution of these lowly human heroes, and will persist in a cat and mouse game of ranged combat, even when close quarters would be faster and more advantageous. If asked why he has a morbid preference for using his ripped off fingernails as ammunition, Elph will reveal that he finds them dirty and dislikes the idea of things like wool being under them. In addition to the typical fairy revulsion of silver, Elph also has a weakness to the techniques employed by the Holy Church. Elph initially attributed this to being another anti-fairy thing, but he would later come to realise it was another annoying cognition related effect since Phemie Irving had invoked the name of God when trying to combat the mind control of the Elf Queen over her twin brother, and now is affecting him. When it comes to his Master, Elph is initially apathetic, treating it at most like a business relationship. But through repeated interactions, Elph finds that humans aren’t so bad after all and their culture and society starts to grow on him.

His Wish upon the Grail? Having defeated his physical adversaries, Elph has similarly overcome his fears and doubts, and is ready to face the truth. Elph wishes to use the Grail to discover who he really is - mortal man or immortal fairy? Elphin Irving or the Tam Lin Elph. Whichever outcome it turns out to be, he will then travel to be with the one he loves the most.

    Skills

    Class Skills

    Independent Action - (B)
The ability to remain independent even when rejecting the Magical Energy supply from one's Master; the ability that allows for action even in the absence of the Master. It is possible to take action even without a Master. However, to use Noble Phantasms of great magical energy consumption, backup from the Master is necessary. Unusually for a member of the Fae-kind, but Elph does not require that much mana to keep himself manifested without assistance. Even completely cut off from his Master, it is possible in an ideal situation for Elph to linger in the modern era for up to two days if he keeps combat to a minimum.

    Magic Resistance - (B)
The granting of protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. As a warrior from the Fairy Otherworld, Elph has plenty of experience with the various forms of magic and their users. Because of this, he has gained a strong immunity to magical effects and will automatically reject any spells with a chant below three verses. Even if he is targeted by Greater Magecraft and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected in short bursts of exposure.

    Personal Skills

    Elf Shot - (A)
A technique from the Curse Arts of Northern Europe in which magical energy is launched at the target in order to decrease the health of the victim. Traditionally a human would need an enchanted arrowhead from the fairies and would fire it at someone in their sight, but as Irving is a Faerie Knight he can turn any small object into a magic bullet - even completely unarmed he will simply put his thumb to his fingers and a crack will ring out as Elph has unassumingly flicked something at the opponent with the speed of a bullet. Whether it's his fingernails or a pebble, the actual object fired doesn’t really matter since it doesn’t need to pierce the target, simply coming into contact imparts the Curse aimed to cause ill health. A victim with low immunity to magic could die instantly, but when facing a Servant, Elph will focus on weakening their limbs in a battle of attrition until he has paralyzed them and can get close to deliver the fatal blow personally with his sword.

    Mana Burst [Water] - (C)
The increase in performance, caused by infusing one’s body and weapons with Magical Energy and instantly expelling it, with this variant discharging it in liquid form - simply put the user recreates the effect of a jet burst by expending large amounts of their Magical Energy. As a Faerie Knight so strongly associated with rivers and lochs, it is only natural that Elph’s greatest magical affinity is with the Water Attribute. When he comes across something that his Elfshot cannot overcome such as a fortified structure, Elph will begrudgingly draw his ceremonial sword and channel his mana throughout the blade, ejecting it as a high pressure stream that allows him to slice through most materials with ease. Given Elph’s high status in the Fairy Court as well as his magical potential, this Skill ought to be much higher. Obviously the reason for its weakened state as well as his persistence in being an Archer Class Servant is his hydrophobia that causes him to break out in a sweat as he has the phantom sound of drowning cattle in his ears afterwards.

    Shapeshifting - (B)
An ability which can refer to either mimicking another’s appearance or otherwise transmutation of the body for varying purposes. Being one of the Fae-kind, Elph is already more of a spirit than a corporeal being and so he has great control over his form and can shift it to take the appearance of both animate beings and inanimate objects. The speed in which he can shift from one form to the next is also impressive, as Elph’s story is subject to the folktale motif of subduing a person by holding them through all stages of transformation, in which Phemie Irving clung to her brother as a bull, a river and a raging fire. In a Grail War, Elph could certainly increase his strength or speed by changing to different animals, but he primarily uses this Skill primarily as a form of stealth and reconnaissance, gathering information about his enemies and transporting him to a vantage point where he can snipe from. If his Master asks nicely, Elph might also consider giving them a ride to where they need to go.

    Noble Phantasm

    Tarbh-Uisge
    Eldritch Bovine of the Maelstrom

[Type: Anti-Unit], [Rank: A], [Maximum Range: 0], [Maximum Number of Targets: Self]

Whether the Fairy Knight Elph was truly once a human stolen away by the fairies, or he was always one of the Fae-kind affected by the Collective Unconsciousness’ perception of Phemie Irving’s story - the resulting crystalisation of Elph’s Noble Phantasm remains the same.

By shedding his phobia of water, Elph activates this Noble Phantasm and dives into a nearby river, lake or the ocean to assume his official Faerie Knight form which was sealed to protect his identity, transforming him into the mighty and majestic Tarbh-Uisge, the water bull of the Fairy Otherworld. Towering over the other Servants, Elph is more akin to a natural disaster as in addition to his monstrous strength and gigantic size, he is able to control all the water in the vicinity and bend it to his will. This more than makes up for the decrease in speed and mobility that his change in mass has caused, as Elph can create tornadic waterspouts to cover his blindspots and block attacks for example. However, unlike his humanoid form, this Noble Phantasm requires a huge sum of mana to maintain and so in order not to kill his Master from the drain, Elph can only stay in this transformed state for no longer than ten minutes at a time and it can take quite a while to recharge the necessary stock of mana, thus Elph must discern when it is the right time to deploy it.

    Lore

    Relationships
Baobhan Sith - “Another Scottish fairy, I don’t think I’ll ask for a kiss from you though.”

Bedivere - “Let me see if the Cupbearer to the King of Knights is up to the same calibre as me!”

Britomart - “Yes, I remember you from the tea parties that the Fairy Queen invited us to.”

Elizabeth Báthory (Halloween) - “Sorry, but for some reason the festive Halloween doesn’t fill me with much joy.”

Medb - “Don’t go getting any funny ideas about stealing me, now.”

Melusine - “Hmm…strange. You don’t look at all like the Melusine I once knew.”

Oberon - “I suppose since one of my Tam Lin brethren was your kinsman, we can agree to a truce of sorts.”

Richard the Lionheart - “*sniff* *sniff* Ah, I can smell Melusine in your blood. You are connected to her in some way, yes?”

William Shakespeare - “You and that Cunningham, mere spoony bards that seek to profit off of the misery of the common folk. It’s no wonder that Oberon wishes to cut you down.”

    Creator's Notes
There are two things that underpin the genesis of this sheet. The first being the FGO localisation’s choice in using “Tam Lin” in place of “Fairy Knight” for LB6, which got me curious to explore how Tam Lin(s) might have looked in the PHH. The second is the fact that I was curious to explore the concept of “Elfshot” - basically the British version of Rin’s iconic Finn Shot attack, and how it might be used - traditionally it was an arrowhead flicked with the thumb, but I couldn’t resist making a Jojo reference to the Stand Tusk what with the firing of one’s fingernails.

Strictly speaking, the Tarbh-Uisge doesn’t feature in the story of Elphin Irving or in Tam Lin generally. Instead I took some liberties in connecting the dots since thanks to the fairies’ magic, Elphin transforms into a bull at one point and his human corpse is pulled out of a river, where the Tarbh-Uisge can be found. Thus I made the extrapolation that Elphin could become Tarbh-Uisge based on the fact that some fairies in folklore have human origins.

By the by, the reason I chose the Irving story specifically rather than making a vague general Tam Lin Servant was because I love the ambiguity of the supernatural in Irving’s variant and tried to incorporate as best as I could into his character. Also the fact that after becoming her Knight, Elphin has his name shortened down to “Elph” by the Queen reminded me of something from Spirited Away as well being easier to connect him to the concept of the Elfshot.

The Faceclaim is Parn from “The Record of Lodoss War”. The joke being that his love interest is an elf. The image used in the Noble Phantasm is the card of the same name from the “Mitos y Leyendas” Chilean trading card game.

Elph: His backstory has lots of dramatic potential and I like how you wove some narrative into the character section. For Elf Shot, you may've thought Tusk, but given he bites them first before firing, I remembered Andy's Parts Bullet from Undead Unluck. Appreciate the Nasu-esque creative stretch for his NP. Any thoughts on my Frederick?

Interesting, though I did not intend to imply he was biting his nails off but rather the action of flicking his fingers against his thumb with such force that the friction tears the nails off and launches them at what he was aiming at.

I'm not going to lie, it feels more like a skeleton of a sheet rather than one up to your usual standards. Not having the greatest knowledge about Scandinavian monarchs, my chief question would be to ask why he is a Foreigner in the first place. It definitely feels like you had a reason to connect Frederick to Ithaqua, but didn't explain it adequately in the sheet and since I'm not a mind reader I am left puzzled. Aside from that, the rest of the sheet is fine I guess, if a bit one note in character.

I am supriced she doesn't say anything about Louhi (canon Berserker and my Archer) and her Witch's Arrows.

I also think he is bit bare bones. What about my Caster of Porvoo (or Bårga).

    Yeah,it complicated and messy.

Those who have given false representation, deceiving and misleading others to do great deeds.
Not a fake or counterfeit (meaning Faker class), but someone who deceives even the soul until
more power and greater achievements than the real thing remain.

    According to Mushroom:
Oberon was added with the new class "Pretender" so what are the prerequisites for being one?
Nasu: Simply put, someone who became a hero while feigning being something else. A hero like Zorro who acts while under disguise of a mask does not qualify as a Pretender. For example, let's say a certain A has died with their ambitions unfilled, and in his place a certain B continues their writings, leaves their comments and fulfills the role of A into the end, ultimately leaving all the fame with A. Meanwhile, B who was the interior of this persona cannot find any spots to occupy and ultimately the only one who becomes a hero is A, the exterior. This is what the Pretender class, one who wears a role, entails.

So basically the histiry cannot know the true identity of Pretender. Like if young Artoria dies suddenly and Merlin makes someone else to swing Excalibur and NO ONE REALIZES this, then you have a Pretender Artoria. It basically requires a use of "You thought it was X, but it was me, Y!" meme.

If by "she", you meant my sheet then don't take it personally. FGO has so many Servants now that I always forget someone - especially the newer characters who haven't quite had enough time to percolate in my mind.

Speaking of Louhi and the Witch's Arrows, it is fascinating to me from an anthropological standpoint how motifs spread across regions and people with this case being the concept of a enchanted projectile that causes ill health and is known by a multitude of names in Northern Europe including (but not limited to) Elfshot in Britain, Finnskott or Lappskott (Finn/Lapp Shot), Trulleskud (Troll Shot), Noidannuoli (Witch's Arrow) and Freikugeln.

Apologies for the rambling, this is something of a personal subject of mine.

No, no it is interesting subject. I also interested in folk magic. I resently burrowed "Ancient Incantation Poems of the Finnish People"
book by Elias Lönnrot for fun.

But yeah, please tell me what you think of Caster of Porvoo?

Your Elph is quite a tragic and interesting archer.

Yeah, looking back I clearly misread that. Must've been projecting Andy onto the sheet. Weird to imagine flicking your fingers forcefully enough to dislodge a nail but Servants be crazy.

Fair. This definitely a simpler sheet than usual for me, but I'd been bouncing the idea for a while so I figured might as well dust it off and post up. I read somewhere Ithaqua responsible for the Carolean Death March, so that became basis for this sheet. Additionally Ithqua's hunger for a mate could tie into Frederick's womanizing. Thanks for the feedback!
