Honestly I don't see any much wiggle room for new servants. If Nasu really plans on introducing new playable character, we probably would've met them or have them alluded to in some way in the story. The decision to pick existing characters as focus, in addition to using wacky characters like Edison Alter, Summer Jeanne, Astolfo, etc instead of using new servants make me very skeptical.

I agree, OC3 is full of characters already.

That's the only reason why I think Ed Alt has a chance. Him being Talos would normally mean he has no battle sprite, but Kazuradrop is obviously playable next month and she's in the same boat as him, so there's nothing stopping him at this point.

I don't think Edison Alter has a chance. I've checked BB Dubai's voice lines and apparently there's already data for who she's going to have voice lines with in her locked form (no voice files obviously). One of them is Edison. And I doubt she would have one for him if an Alter version existed. There's a chance, but I doubt it. Maybe it will be a costume, but that's the most I'm expecting.

I'm fully expecting new characters simply because they added new mats that you have to farm and they're going to make sure you're forced to use them. And I seriously doubt they're only going to be used only for append skills.

I'm expecting Kazuradrop because we know her art was already done since it was used to create Muryan.

The Hakunos seem to be the only option, especially since protagonists often become welfares, but... I dunno, feels off. Sure, they could just do the thing they did with the Summer Valkyries, but that also feels kinda weird.

What I said is literally everything we know, it was mentioned for the first time in this chapter by Hakuno when made a short loredump for us - that this is not a Singularity nor a Lostbelt, but a timeline slightly further from the mainline ones, and that these types of super-developed worlds are called Apsaras Branch.

EDIT: as for the stand-ins, Jinako specifically said that she had no data on some of the Mooncancers, so just put stand-ins there - hence Kuku for Arc (Archetype for Archetype), 1st Ascension Kama for Kazura (loli Sakura for loli Sakura) and Talos for Ed Alter (super robot for the guy who wants to make everyone into super robots).

Thats my guess atleast, edison being either a sr moon cancer to put one in the pool or worst case scenario a storylocked moon cancer seems likely imo. it just depends on who part 2 introduces to us

Yeah after paper moon i wouldn't be surprised if we got no more moon cancers this chapter, really its just cope on how few we have. I still think durga would've fit as an alter ego though

Exactly that, also BB third ascension unlocks after 22 so it'll be part 3 when that's released most likely.

I am very curious about boss A. Don't recognize her sprite but I have very little knowledge about Summer Jeanne anyway, so if people say it's her, I can only agree. I wonder about the actual character though. Some sea goddess?
