Personally, OC3 is a huge disappointment. Nothing interesting really happened while plagued with lots of frustrating battles with lock gimmick. The mind wipe nails the coffin for it being one of the worst story so far. The only gain might be getting what Moon Cancers are.

I'm seeing people say that passionlip got shafted because of no swimsuit but she was one of the best characters across parts 1 and 2, meanwhile Beresh got a super limited waifu version that's uncuckable and just for you, with 3 ses of animations, but her character is a huge waste (not counting part 3 because I really dont know what she did there yet), gets really close to doing cool things but not really enough. Felt like she had interesting things so say but they were barely ever said.
Jinako, Passionlip, and Protea Alter were honestly the best characters of the event— and hell I quite liked Hasara and Anthony. Bart was also very great early on as well, and his usage gave me a lot of hope for the story that just didn’t pay off at all.
I will say this, though— it did finally make me kind of like BB. But only kind of.
FGO fans equate a new version to content, even if a character gets good development or character moments it’s null if they didn’t get a shiny new png

I was also hoping Arcueid being here, in an EXTRA-adjacent world with Tsuki no Sango... elements? I guess it's just the moon and the year so maybe it's nothing, but anyways, it would've been a good opportunity to find out more about the totally not aylesbury valesti ritual on EXTRA timelines, what went over there, what sort of ritual they do when CM doesn't exist in EXTRA, what Arc was doing in EXTRA, what the ritual would look like in a world with CM, how Arc relates to the girl of coral.
Was also hoping with Eresh here we'd get some contrast and commentary on EXTRA having people living happily ever after on the moon forever and themes of accepting death in other works, and maybe try to get commentary on this conflicting worldviews, but it seems like there was a theme of moving on when the time is right indeed, so maybe EXTRA isn't all about eternal immortality.
I could find out more about all this if I wasn't too lazy, busy and sleep deprived to read right now
I think if OC3 is a preview for Antarctica I'm actually very excited, because the themes of OC3 are very interesting, it's just the vehicle that mostly isn't. Archetype fighting for humanity's future against stagnated Alaya is actually very cool. Constantly shitting on techbros is cool. Servantverse is not. I admittedly don't care that much for Extraverse stuff either, though I'll give it its fair shake regardless.
Right, there were missed opportunities with Arc, too. Granted, just using her as flavoring for Archetype lore is fine but we're allowed to be a little hypocritical. I partially came out of this feeling "guess we gotta wait for Extella/Tsukihime 2 again"

Yeah I think OC3 has nice themes, concepts and ideas but the execution leaves something to be desired (at least before part 3)

That Kiara fights are one of the most irritating and frustrating battles that have been implemented so far
First they lock your servants, then they throw you into a frustrating gimmick fight that even having the resurrect is a pain in the ass to deal with
I think BB says we lose our memories because they're from the future, so we'll get them back when we reach the future.
But the future here is 3017 so we're never getting the memories back lol
