Why can't we all be as sexually deviant as Renko?
Gawain (with or without Numeral of Saint active) vs Siegfried
Siegfried eventually wins without, they have relatively even stats but he has an advantage in strength and Armor of Fafnir makes the difference in damage dealt too large.
He gets wrecked with.

Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.
Siegfried also presumably has the advantage in skill, given that he has "surpassed" mankind and can weather Karna's blows for hours in combination with the Armor.
Surpassing mankind doesnt mean you reach into the realm of the gods. It just means you're better than a human ought to be.

Basically, Gods > Above mankind > humans...His spear roared, cleaving the air apart.
...His sword shrieked, screaming with the wind.
They clashed. Sparks flew through the air like lost souls as two enormous forces resisted one another.
It does not even need to be said that Lancer and his spear holds the advantage in terms of range. The head of the weapon alone is easily over one meter in its fearsome length. However, having a wider range naturally slows the speed of attack. A small amount of time is lost with every thrust as the spear must be pulled back.
Of course, Lancer's spear-work does justice to Karna, whose name has echoed in every corner of the world. Being nothing more than a Master, it is likely that Gordes cannot begin to comprehend what is happening before him.
Yet this barrage of spear thrusts - seeming to form an impenetrable stone wall - is being received by Siegfried, the Dragon-slayer of the Netherlands, whose swordsmanship has long surpassed mankind. Making full use of every gap between thrusts, he began to close the distance one step at a time.
However, even for an excellent swordsman, it is not a matter of course that every spear thrust can be defended against without fail. It is all the more impossible to fully receive the constant attacks of a spearman that has stepped so far into the domain of Gods.
Siegfried does not have Divinity AFAIK, for one, so he counts as a "normal" human.
Yeah but if you're reaching into the realm of the gods you should kinda assume you'v surpassed mankind right? unless you're saying any human that tries a bit can be godlike.
I think some of you are mixing up dramatic description "godlike skill/accomplishment" (i.e. holy shit fucking amazing impossible for humans, like Kojiro) with "on same magnitude with gods" (e.g. Karna shooting you with a god-killing nuke).
It's usually the former.
NONE of which has anything to do with Divinity as a property of what kind of being someone is.

Skill and divine spirits aren't related at all. Nothing says that all divine spirits are super weapon masters.
'Surpassing mankind' or 'into the realm of gods' just means "swings so good most people wouldn't think it possible".

It's like Li Shuwen being a "Spear God/God of Spear". It doesn't mean he's a divine spirit. It just means he's going to stab your face and there's nothing you can do about it.

I take it as the person's skill being a Divine Mystery, which Kojiro's is stated to be.

Ah, I messed up the words.
....on one hand, maybe this says I should go back to the VN and re-read. On the other, it probably doesn't matter that much.
Still, most of this just contributes to the idea that divine mystery is nothing more than short for "2 good don't wanna explain"

It is a technique that "challenges god" with mere human skill, making it impossible to block.
But rather an intrinsic skill of the anonymous swordsman representing the legend of Kojirou. This demonic sword technique, the utmost and sole technique used by Assassin, is not a Noble Phantasm or a magical phenomenon, but it has reached a level comparable to one out of pure godlike skill that "surpasses even Servants."
