    BEAST V

    Source: Digimon

    Class: Beast
    Other Classes
    :Rider
    True Name: Icarus=Sol
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil
    Place of Origin: Classical Mythology

    Parameters:

    STR: E
    END: A++++
    AGI: B
    MGI:
    A
    LCK:
    D
    NP: EX

    Attribute: Sky
    Armament: None

    Class Skills:

    Authority of Beasts (A)
An “Anti-Humanity” skill. In the case of Beast V, it is a rejection of the “civilization of man” as one who dreams only of empty skies. Thus, it is not a skill that grants bonuses against “humans”, but rather against the idea of “humanity.”

Even those who belong in the heavens have reigned over mankind as kings and emperors. The more one is bound to the progression of human society, the more power Beast V will have over them. It is a skill that increases damage against kings, founders, inventors, and pioneers, regardless of the quality of “being human”

    Independent Manifestation (C)
The ability to bypass the necessity of a traditional Servant summoning ritual and manifest oneself without the support of a master - essentially, a hyper-enhanced version of Independent Action. Because Beast V is still fundamentally an existence belonging to the world of man, it is possible to manifest naturally as a self-sustaining lifeform, but there is no inherent resistance to “instant death” effects.

    Self-Modification (EX)
A skill allowing for the transformation of one’s own body, or the assimilation of foreign elements. At its highest level, it is the ability to not only change one’s
form, but the idea of “what I am”. In practice, it is what enables a young boy to undergo a union with the sun - absorbing and inheriting the properties of Sol. Essentially, Beast V can be described as “the limitless Sun in human form”

    Personal Skills:

    Nega-
    Soleis (EX)
    A
skill unique to Beast V which maintains a conceptual bounded field spanning the entirety of “the world”. It rejects and rewrites human understanding of “the sun as a celestial body”, rerouting the concept of Sol to be embodied by Beast V itself. “The sun which exists in our world” replaces “the sun which can never be reached”; so long as Beast V is manifested, the sun will remain blacked out, and the entire planet will experience an eternal night.

Of course, this skill derives from an ancient understanding of the role of the sun - there is no side-effect of
calamity which corresponds to the “disappearance of the sun” - simply put, the concept of the sun switched places. The moon instead reflects the light of Beast V onto the world, and the planet’s orbit is not disrupted.

Because Beast V and the sun are mirrored existences, Beast V’s endurance can be said to be at the highest peak of quantifiable values. Opposing Beast V is akin to opposing “something as vast as the sun.”

    Divinity (A)
Measures a Servant’s aptitude as a Divine Spirit. A skill which draws upon the universal, subconscious understanding of the sun as “divine”, resulting in a Servant that is at the boundary of the throne of gods. It also has an effect which reduces special defensive values called 'purge defense' in proportion to the Divinity's Rank.

    Murderous Intent (A++)
Essentially, it is a willingness to die. By accepting the guaranteed conclusion of “death”, it is possible to temporarily surpass all physical limitations. More specifically, it is the mindset of a boy who flew, even as he was burned to ash; one who flew into the sun, understanding what it meant to cast aside humanity, completely content with his own end. At the highest level, it has merged with Beast V’s Self-Modification, resulting in a limitless potential for growth as one approaches their demise.

Even as he burns, he evolves further, until that demon of fire and heat is no longer comparable to the boy that once called himself “human”.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Aegis Avian
The Clear Sky is One’s Own

    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Rank: B
    Range: Self
    Max Targets: ~

Wings constructed by the craftsman Daedalus from feathers and wax. Normally, they would not even be on the level of the simplest Mystic Code, as mysteries that can easily be reproduced by an average magus. Yet, through Beast V’s Self-Modification, they have melded with his flesh and been given greater value as mysteries representing the endless sky.

Aegis Avian refers not to the wings themselves, but rather to a pseudo-reality marble that is projected around Beast V; the wings of Icarus, which form a cage of white feathers, shield him from the cruelties of the world, isolating the Beast in a bounded field that rejects the prison of “the planet”.

The world by which Beast V is surrounded is the vast sky that it once dreamed of. It is an isolated space free from the limitations of human civilization. More accurately, it is a bounded field which gives form to Beast V’s fondest memory - the memory of unhindered infinity.

In practice, it is a Noble Phantasm comparable to the forever-sealed Utopia of the King of Knights, in that it offers “protection” by locking one in a separate space. In this case, it is not protection from any form of “damage”, but a defense against all forms of burden and limiters. Simply put, it is a space that entirely rejects physical demerits of any kind, rendering Beast V immune to rank-downs or debuffs.

As a secondary effect, Aegis Avian also nullifies all effects which are inherent to the “world”. That is to say, the effects of Reality Marbles, which are a kind of world projected atop the existing one, are ineffective against Beast V.

    Calamity Icaria
    The Supremacy of Heat

    Type: Anti-City, Anti-Humanity
    Rank: EX
    Range: ~
    Max Targets: 1000

The crystallization of Beast V’s most remembered legend - the flight towards the sun, the ascension that burned away human flesh as the Beast formed its union with Sol. It is a Noble Phantasm that can only be achieved by a Servant that is “one and the same” with the sun.

The path to the divine light of the sun is humanity’s greatest freedom - reaching for that unreachable sky, the clear blue dome, and at its
centre, the apex of human pursuit. If civilization is a “chain”, then the sun is the truest “freedom”, and to reach it, one must be entirely unbound. It is that sin which Beast V encompasses - humanity’s arrogance in their belief that they are free to chase all things, even that which leads to calamity and death. The desire to cast aside all laws and inhibitions, to fly towards the sun that burns them to ash.

Calamity Icaria. The reversal of “man’s ascension to the sun” which allows Beast V to “drag the sun to the level of man”. In the simplest terms, it is a tear in space that erases “distance” - a hole in the fabric of the world that acts as a doorway to the physical form of the sun. The sun’s light of destruction is filtered through this doorway in the form of rays of pure heat, each on the level of an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.

The maximum destructive potential of Calamity Icaria is valued at “anti-city”, but it is also classified as an “anti-humanity” Noble Phantasm because of the added quality of “burning away civilization.” It is a heat which liberates mankind from the authority of both Gods and Kings, representing the genesis of the planet prior to the existence of humans, which can be viewed as the peak of existing freedom. A time before the idea of “law” was created. Thus, additional damage is dealt
to Divine Servants, as well as any form of man-made construct or edifice - for example, any kind of Fortress Noble Phantasm. Unleashing the full power of this Noble Phantasm causes Aegis Avian to burn away.

Calamity Icaria takes the form of a hole in
space, and can either be fired from behind Beast V itself, or fired downward from the sky as a rain of destructive beams. Without calling its true name, it is possible to manifest smaller “tears” which are capable of releasing attacks on the level of “Anti-Unit”, comparable to what is achievable by the High-Thaumaturgy deployed by certain Casters.

    Lore:

Beast V, the beast of Boundlessness.

In actuality, it is the form taken by Icarus following his union with Sol. The child of the craftsman Daedalus, locked away in an inescapable tower, dreamed only of an escape from his prison in the sky. As the legend goes, Daedalus crafted wings for himself and his son, and with them, they were able to fly away from captivity.

Even though he was warned, there was no hesitation. Icarus understood the moment he saw the sun resting among the clear sky. “This is freedom. I am the
    most free person alive.”

All he understood of humanity was captivity. Just as his father had been a hindrance, warning him against ascending any higher; just as the tower had been a prison, keeping him from seeing the world. There was no freedom save for among the clouds. So, he flew higher.

The boy ascended to the level of the sun. Not simply “too close”, but in truth, he flew directly into it, undergoing a union with the personification of Sol. As his flesh burned away, they became one and the same.

“Father should have just come with me. Naturally, the world I live in is far better.”

    Personality:

A smiling child, through all things. Because he is one who enjoys the greatest freedom, how could there be any sadness? His words are gentle and soothing, his wish of endless calamity and bloodshed told in a light and jovial tone.

Beast V is an anomaly among the Beast Class; a Beast which was human at the start, and entertained human understanding, only to cast it aside in his final moments
.Of course, he is still entirely incompatible with human morality, but that is only a recent development. Thus, in some sense, he is the “youngest and weakest” Beast.

The sin of “Boundlessness” is represented through his pursuit of true human freedom; that is, the freedom of humans through the destruction of “humanity” as a binding force. Erasing human history in its entirety and returning mankind to the age of primates, where apes were free to pursue their most primal desires.
Seperate from the “Desire” represented by Beast III in that his ultimate wish is not to provide humanity with all things, but the complete freedom to accomplish all things themselves. He doesn’t want to eradicate “desire” from the universe; instead, he wants all things to be able to chase their desires themselves, even if such pursuits are viewed as evil or destructive.

In his mind, even if something leads to calamity, it is only the result of everyone doing what they want. Thus, even as he fights, he shows nothing but friendliness to the Servants he slaughters, as if he were simply playing a game with them.

Of course, this is all born from a misunderstanding within Beast V’s childish mentality. It is the idea that “nothing can make me happy except everything”, and a belief that it is impossible to find true happiness in something
small, or to be content in a world where you are bound by rules.

Simply put, there is something that he chooses to forget. That old man, which he hates for not living in the same world as him. Of course, it’s a contradiction - all things are free, yet he resents that man for the choice he made. Perhaps, just as easily as he could live in the world of Beast V, Beast V could lower itself to living in the same world as him. And, perhaps, he would be content with just that.

Such a realization would likely be his undoing.

    Creators Notes

-Honestly, this might be the sheet I've been the most invested in so far. Just generally speaking, I'd definitely love hearing everyone's thoughts; I absolutely tried to make this something that you could imagine appearing in FGO.
-Just for clarification, his "Murderous Intent" skill basically becomes a sort of "Critical Mode" that would transform him into an actually Beast-Like monster akin to Goetia or Tiamat, at the cost of eventually
    killinghimn.
-As far as balance goes, I might have actually made him pretty weak for a Beast? Unsure. His destructive power is meant to be pretty ridiculous, he literally shoots sun-beams at you, and his endurance is, as stated, meant to be the
highestquanitifable level. But he's still vulnerable to effects that apply "death" as a concept. Either way, it fits if he's mildly weaker - the idea is that he's probably at the lower echelon of the class anyways.

    En’ Gard
    An Honorable Duel Between Warriors

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C

    Max Targets: 1-3
In life Saber was considered one of the greatest dullest of her life time entering countless duels and winning every single one. Even when she was fought three on one she would handily beat her opponents. This is a crystallization of Sabers life as a duelist so that any who engage her in direct combat will be compiled to ignore any assistance and fight her one on one. During this engagement Saber will have all of her parameters increased by one rank.
Due to stories of Saber defeating two different groups of three assailants even if her opponent chooses to be dishonorable and call for assistance she will keep the parameter increase even with the duel no longer being applicable for two or three opponents.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
What can be said about Julie d’Aubigny other than the fact she was amazing. The daughter of a noble man who trained pages for the she would often join in on the training becoming skilled in the ways of reading, fencing, drawing, and dancing. Eventually she was married off to Sieur de Maupin becoming known as La Maupin (or lady Maupin). However her husband left to a job in southern France and Julie never thought of him again.

She entered in an affair with her fencing instructor Serannes and ran off to Marseille with him to avoid the police who were after Serannes for killing a man in a duel. On the road the due made a living by performing fencing executions and and singing in local taverns. Eventually though Julie got bored of Serannes and decided to pursue a young woman in the town they had stopped in. Unfortunately for Julie the woman’s parents disapproved of the relationship and sent their daughter to a nunnery. Fortunately for Juile she was Julie d’Aubigny so she simply disguised herself and entered the nunnery to get with the young woman. In order to escape from the nunnery after seducing the woman Julie dug up an old corpse of a nun, placed it in her bed, and burned the nunnery down t give the appearance she died in the fire. After three months the young woman returned to her family and Julie returned to the road after having been sentenced to be burned at the stake at a court she didn’t bother attending.

In Villeperdue she was crossdressing as a man when she was insulted by a young nobleman. They entered into a duel in which the nobleman had two of his friends assist him. Julie beat them all and stabbed the nobleman in the shoulder. Later on Julie felt guilty for the whole affair and went to the nobleman’s friend who revealed his name to be Louis-Joseph d'Albert Luynes. Julie went to Louis’s room to ask for forgiveness and the conversation ended with them becoming lovers. The two eventually became best friends and nearly inseparable.
Eventually though Louis had to return to his military unit and Julie continued to wander eventually finding the singer Gabriel-Vincent Thévenard and having an affair with him. Gabriel recognized the talent that Julie held and took her to Paris to sing in the Opera. By the way about that warrant for her arrest and execution? Gabriel spoke with the king and convinced him to pardon her so she could sing in the opera.

At first entering the opera as a backup singer she quickly became the star of the show and was even the first contralto to sing lead in the Paris Opera with parts written for her singing voice in mind. She continued to be a superstar in Paris fighting and seducing her fellow actors and actresses until one fateful day at a Versailles Ball she(in drag) kissed a young woman three noble had their eyes on. The three challenged her to a duel and she beat them all handily. Unfortunately she then had to flee Paris due to duels being illegal at the time. She ran all the way to Brussels where she entered an affair with Maximilian II Emanuel, Elector of Bavaria. She even became an Opera star there. However Maximillian ended the affair when she stabbed herself with a real dagger on stage as part of a performance and decided she was bad news. Thankfully by then King Louis XIV had already given her another pardon as he found the entire situation hysterical.

She returned to Paris and enjoyed her life of fame and glamor once more only entering small trouble with the law for beating up her landlord. Eventually though she entered into an affair with the one known as the most beautiful woman in France Madame la Marquise de Florensac. The two lived in harmony for two years before Madame la Marquise de Florensac tragically passed away. Julie was so filled with grief that she retired to a nunnery where she died four years later.
And so ended the most awesome life in the history of France.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:
Julie was her era’s equivalent of a rockstar and not much has changed in their general behavior since then. She spends most of her time drinking, and partying, and seducing as man people as she can get her hands on. All Julie truly wants is to have a good time and if she ever got the Holy Grail she would wish for herself to incarnated so she could continue to party.

    Relationships:
    Spoiler:
    Chevalier D’Eon
“A man or a woman? It doesn’t matter you shall still find yourself in my bed.”
“I had always looked up to the invincible fencer Julie d’Aubigny but you aren’t quite what I expected.”

    Elizabeth Bathory
“What horrendous music. Master please give me permission to free the world from this horrid monster.”
“What are you saying! My music is on the cutting edge, someone like you is way to old school to capture the hearts of an audience!”

    Creator Notes:
I don’t really have much to say about this sheet. I found out about Julie d’Aubigny when googling swordsmen and she was just too awesome not to make a sheet about.

@cooldownnow This isn't the first Juliet d'Aubigny sheet on the thread, but it is solid nonetheless. Easily your most fleshed out idea. However, I do feel the lore section could have held back on the gushing and gone for a more neutral tone.

Prajñā? Using a Buddhist term for a Judeo-Christian figure sounds wrong, but any of the others sounds much better than Awareness. Thanks!

I was originally going to go for a neutral tone but honestly I love Julie so much I kept on writing gushing stuff without meaning too and decided to lean into it. I mean its not like the servants in FGO are always completely neutral in the bond profiles.

    Spoiler:
    Murder is My Hobby
    Though I don’t Carry a Weapon

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C+
    Range: 1-2
    Max Targets: NA
In life Assassin never cared a weapon despite having a bodycount that some estimates put around 500 hundred. The reason he never cared a weapon is so that if he was ever picked up by the police they would not be able to connect him to any of his hits. To offset this Assassin became incredibly skilled in killing with anything he could acquire in the area. Ice picks, rope, knives, and guns; he s equally proficient in all of these as tools of death.

The effect of this Noble Phantasm is two fold, first it makes Assassin proficient in anything he picks up as an implement of death and gives it the strength of a D Rank Noble Phantasm not unlike that of a certain Knight of the Round Table. Secondly as long as Assassin is not holding a weapon he is nearly impossible to be seen as a servant unless he is looked at by a Ruler class servant or a servant with Presence Detection.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
Harry “Pittsburg Phil” Strauss born in 1909 was one of the most prolific hitmen and co-leader of the organization dubbed by the media as Murder Inc. Murder Inc was a gang all on its own but where it shone was in its job of assassinating targets decided upon by the National Crime Syndicate. As an assassin Harry was often sent on jobs away from New York due to being an unknown to those local jurisdictions.

Eventually though Henry’s partner and fellow leader of Murder Inc Abe “Kid Twist” Reles turned rat and informed on the rest of the gang to save his own skin. Harry felt particularly betrayed by Reles’s betrayal and offered to pretend to become a turncoat himself just to get in the same room as Reles and kill him. This was not approved by their bosses however and Harry Strauss, along with many of his mobsters in arms, were made to stand trial.

At the trial Harry tried to feign insanity by forgoing shaving and bathing, muttering to himself, and cheering on his leather briefcase. However none were fooled by his act and he was sent to Sing Sing and executed on Old Sparky in 1941

    Personality:
    Spoiler:

Killing isn’t his job it’s his hobby. Harry Strauss wants nothing more than to kill people and isn’t afraid to let people know. Even during his time as a professional assassin he would often volunteer for jobs just for the thrill. Harry is also extremely prideful in his work going to great pains to make sure that each murder has the care and respect it deserves to be a unique crime.

    Relationships:
    Spoiler:
    Jack the Ripper
“Finally somebody here that gets it. How about you and me go and paint the town red!”
“mommy help, this man scares me.”

    Billy the Kid
“Well if it isn’t a real life outlaw! Have to say I wish I could’ve lived in the wild west.”
“Maybe if I ignore him he’ll leave.”

    Creator Notes:
So murder Inc is a thing and terrified/impressed me so much I had to write a sheet of one of their killers. At first I was going to do Kid Twist but when I found out how many people Harry Strauss killed and the fact he apparently volunteered for jobs I had to make him an assassin. I was a little unsure about removing his Presence Concealment at first because I didn’t give his Noble Phantams its second effect but I also thought that since he wasn’t exactly known for sneaking around he wouldn’t have it. Of course then I created the second effect of Murder is My Hobby so I think it balanced out. Speaking of his NP even though it is very much like Knight of Owner it is a very much weakened version of it. The weapons are a very low rank so they are easily broken and have such low attack power most armor would stop them and they become things that Assassin can use to kill rather than weapons he can use to fight so even if he got a sword he wouldn’t be able to keep up with a knight he would just become proficient in all the ways you can kill with a sword which may give him an advantage due to the creative ways to do so confusing a warrior. In the end though he’s a servant that wants to avoid combat at all costs and focus on eliminating masters.

    Skills
    Class Skills

Territory Creation - Rank E: A Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus, such as for the purpose of collecting mana.
Though technically qualifying as a magus, Caster’s mentality is unsuited for the creation of a workshop. Rather than being able to create any kind of advantageous terrain for himself, he can make full use of another magus’ workshop as long as he is provided permission by a host.

Item Construction - Rank D: A Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to manufacture magical items, from implements of war to items for daily use. Also, this Skill requires time to gather components and manufacture items.
As most of his works were literary or musical in nature, the creation of tangible magical items is something Caster isn’t good at. He can create high-quality scrolls that, when read, activate mental interference -type effects on targets. Caster can also make amulets that provide small boosts in luck, defense or offensive power when carried.

    Personal Skills

Imperial Attendant - Rank A: A Skill related to Imperial Privilege. Through it, the user is granted certain Skills and abilities by the insistence of the emperor that they serve. Naturally, the user themselves has no control over which abilities are granted. For the most part, these gifts are set, but in some cases the spirit of the user’s emperor can grant them additional abilities.
Caster served as spokesperson for the burgeoning Roman Empire, as well as its first emperor, Augustus. Through Imperial Attendant, Caster normally possesses High-Speed Divine Words, Incitement and Austerity among other abilities.

Poet’s Immortal Flame - Rank B: A Personal Skill born of Caster’s enduring reputation as a poet, mixed with anecdotes regarding his works and their longevity. Through reputation, an effect similar to Innocent Monster is achieved, though the effects of Poet’s Immortal Flame are largely beneficial.
Through this Skill, Caster has attained a body of living bronze, having once noted that his fame and reputation was such that his works had forged him a legacy ‘as enduring as bronze’. As such, his Endurance is first-class among Casters, and the timeless quality of his works also endows him with damage resistance, reducing incoming damage by a small amount. In addition, the charming nature of his poetry gives his personality a magnetic quality, making it easier for Caster to influence others.

    Noble Phantasms

    Song of a Lifetime
    Carmen Saeculare

    , Rank A+
Originally a commissioned hymn celebrating Apollo and Diana, sung at the Secular Games roughly once every 100 years. It especially places prominence on Apollo, for whom Caster’s emperor Augustus was a stand-in and surrogate. Singing with the voice of a full choir, Caster sings a prayer to the heavens.
With devotion to Augustus serving as a link, Caster’s prayer will surely reach Apollo. In answer to the plea of a devoted servant, Apollo-as-Augustus can recreate any of his actions in mythology. In cases where an attack is called for, a godly body manifests to execute the attack, disappearing once the deed is done.
Almost uniquely among Noble Phantasms, Carmen Saeculare does not incur a cost in magical energy when used. Rather, it uses the Mystery accumulated during a Saeculum, an era encompassing the complete renewal of the human population, as fuel. However, as the Secular Games, the intervening Saeculi of which Carmen Saeculare draws its strength from, the number of uses are limited. As the number of periods is counted by Caster’s own logic, Carmen Saeculare can only be utilized thrice in a single Holy Grail War.

Trust Tomorrow E'en as Little as You May
    Carpe Diem

    Anti-Unit, Rank B
A Noble Phantasm born from a phrase popularized by Caster. It is used to allow a target to ‘make their own fate’, dramatically increasing their prowess for the duration of a day.
On activation, Caster can bestow a substantial increase in Luck for a single target. With every offensive or defensive action, a Luck check is performed, with a success bringing a boost in effectiveness equal to that of a ‘+’ modifier. However, with each success, the amount of granted Luck is also brought down, with the effect of Carpe Diem running out once the target’s Luck is returned to normal.
Carpe Diem cannot be used on the same target on two consecutive days.

    Description
Likes: Pleasures of the mind, Greek culture
    Dislikes: Ambition, greed
    Talents: Court politics, lyric poetry
    Natural Enemy: Sulla

Caster’s true identity is Quintus Horatius Flaccus, the Augustan Poet. He is also known in the modern world by the name Horace.

Horace is a charming, friendly and straightforward man, and is surprisingly lacking in seriousness when one considers his status as one of the great men of Latin literature. He has a good-natured sense of humor, and has a tendency to poke fun at the faults of others, though with the intent for them to improve. For someone that lived in the luxury of the Roman Empire, he is content with little, enjoying the simple things in life and believing in mental stimulation having greater importance than the physical.
Despite his relative humility, Horace is impressed with the reputation he has garnered, and attributes this to Augustus’ favor. This has the unfortunate side-effect that he tends to go on and on about himself and his works. He is candid on the subject of his life, and does not even bother hiding his identity from others. As the mystique of most Servants is mostly absent, Horace is approachable on a level above that of many heroes.
Being very fond of Greek culture, Horace is wont to reach out directly to any Greek Heroic Spirits that he might meet. Though no warrior, Horace’s experiences include fighting a war, allowing him to relate even to the more bloodthirsty among the ranks of Heroic Spirits. When it comes to Servants of an artistic or performing bent, he would likewise try and make such Heroic Spirits feel like they are among friends when in his presence. In terms of being a poet, he feels a rivalry with Virgil and Ovid, his contemporaries.
Like with others, Horace would treat his Master as a friend, regardless of how his Master would respond to such an approach. Though he is likely to drone on about his works and representations to an audience that, at least to some extent, has to endure his presence, Horace tries to take his Master’s wishes to account, both in private dealings as well as in his approach to a Holy Grail War. Even if he does not wish to fight others, Horace will readily do battle for the sake of a friend.
Horace’s wish would be to be able to convene with other artistic Heroic Spirits, recreating the banquets he enjoyed with other poets and artists on a far grander scale. He desires a meeting of philosophies, cultures and walks of life.

    Lore
Horace was born in 65 BCE in Venusia in southern Italy, the son of a freed slave who owned a small farm and also worked as a tax collector. He later moved to Rome, where his father was able to provide him with a good education, first in Rome and then in Athens, where he studied Greek and philosophy.
After the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BCE, Horace joined the army, serving under the generalship of Brutus and fighting as a staff officer in the Battle of Philippi. He returned to Italy in 39 BCE, when an amnesty was declared for those who had fought against the victorious Octavian, only to find his father’s estate had been confiscated. Although Horace claimed to have been reduced to poverty, he nevertheless still had the means to purchase a profitable lifetime appointment as a scribe and Treasury official, which allowed him to live comfortably and practice his poetic art.
The young Horace attracted the attention of Vergil, and he soon became a member of a literary circle that included Vergil and Lucius Varius Rufus. Through them, he became a close friend of Maecenas (himself a friend and confidant of Augustus), who became his patron and presented him with an estate in the Sabine Hills near fashionable Tibur. He had the temerity to refuse Augustus’ offer of a position as his personal secretary, although he does not seem to have lost any favour with the Emperor for it. He is described as short and fat and prematurely grey. Although he never married, he had a hedonistic tendency and carried on an active sexual life anyway, and was apparently addicted to obscene pictures.
He died in Rome in 8 BCE, at the age of 57, leaving his estate to the Emperor Augustus, in the absence of any heirs of his own. He was buried near the tomb of his friend and patron Maecenas.

    Skills
    Class Skills

Magic Resistance - Rank E: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cannot cancel spells, but magic damage is reduced somewhat. As Mystery was thin during Berserker’s era, her ability to resist magic is low.

Riding - Rank C: A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding.
Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

Mad Enhancement - Rank C: The Class Skill that characterizes a Berserker, raising basic parameters and strengthens one's physical abilities in exchange of hindering mental capacities and/or in exchange for their sense of reason.
Rank up for all parameters except Luck and Mana. Though language ability is not affected, Berserker’s mentality has been warped, and she believes herself to be a savior to the conquistadors of Chile. She possesses a burning determination, doing whatever she feels necessary in order to ‘achieve victory’ against the heathens, with her perceptions being colored by her experiences in war.

    Personal Skills

Conquistador - Rank B+: The Skill of one who had conquered the uncharted lands at the end of their voyages during the Age of Exploration. In Spain, it means "conqueror". Denotes the ability of invading, ruling, pillaging, and enslaving an undiscovered land.
Berserker is the most famous of the female conquistadors, and is renowned for her actions in South America even in the present day.

Medical Techniques - Rank C: Modern medicine that surpasses the medical technology of those times (in which transmission proliferated) by a few degrees. Still, this Skill does not make a comparison by modern standards, instead determining by the standards of the age in which the Servant lived.
Berserker is proficient in the medical techniques of her era, having tended to the wounded during her campaigns.

Innocent Monster - Rank C: An attribute possessed by Servants whose true history and existence have been distorted by the monstrous reputations and gossips they accrued across the course of their life and thereafter, without concern for the actual person's will or appearance. As a consequence, the Servant's abilities and appearance have been rendered to conform to the specifications of their legend. Incidentally, this Personal Skill cannot be removed.
Though regarded as a brave warrior woman, Berserker’s actions have also earned her no small amount of notoriety. In addition, her appearances on the battlefield have been connected to a myth of the time, that of Saint James the Moor-Slayer. Through this hearsay, Berserker’s class container has been altered.

    Noble Phantasms
    Screaming Severed Heads
    Cabezas Arrojadas

    Anti-Army, Rank D
A collection of severed heads, carved from wood. Representing Berserker’s fell act of decapitating a group of hostages and hurling their heads amongst their people in order to terrify her enemies, Cabezas Arrojadas acts as Berserker’s primary Noble Phantasm. When thrown towards an enemy, the heads take on the lifelike appearance of those close to the target, whether they be loved ones, beloved leaders or fellow soldiers.
Cabezas Arrojadas produces a fear effect once the heads have landed, functioning under the principles of mental interference magecraft. In addition, the severed heads begin to scream while in midair, dealing a small amount of sonic damage to nearby enemies with their ear-piercing shrieks.

    Rebirth of the Bloodied Saint
    Santiago Matamoros de Chile

    Anti-Unit (Self), Rank B+
Born of the legend of Saint James appearing to aid in the battles against the natives of Chile, coupled with Berserker’s unconscious emulation of these miraculous appearances. With her Mad Enhancement serving as a form of self-suggestion, it is possible for Berserker to bring forth an approximation of Santiago Matamoros.
With Santiago Matamoros de Chile activated, a heavenly light shines down on Berserker, painting her armor into a pure white. At random, she gains one of the benefits of the Saint Skill. In addition to this, as Santiago Matamoros is Saint James painted as a destroyer of Spain’s enemies, Berserker’s body undergoes a radical change, becoming in nature something closer to a Conceptual Weapon than an incarnated Heroic Spirit. Manifested solely for the purpose of destroying the enemies of Christendom, with the merest touch rending the bodies of those of pagan or heretical origin asunder. As Santiago Matamoros de Chile does not bring about a true saint, Berserker does not attain a holy attribute to her attacks. Regardless if the target is good or evil, if they be enemies of Spain and Christianity, Berserker will hold a great advantage over them.

    Description
Likes: The company of men, work
    Dislikes: Children, zealots
    Talents: Making hard decisions, handicraft
Natural Enemy: Pedro de la Gasca

Berserker’s true identity is Inés de Suárez, the Conquistadora of Chile.

Inés manifests as a warrior woman, and though quiet does not seem have the air of a veteran haunted by what she has done. She has a steadfast belief in her own righteousness, and comes across as grim and unsociable to others. In part due to this and her lack of understanding when it comes to other people, she enjoys working alone, seeing activity as a welcome distraction from society.
Though she is devoutly Catholic, she carries a dislike of zealots, who she feels robbed her of the only place in life that she truly enjoyed. Inés also does not like children, as she herself was never able to have them. Their presence reminds her of a life she may have had, were she different, and the thought disturbs her.
Inés does not enjoy violence, but will stoop to almost anything that she feels needs to be done. Her perception is coloured by Mad Enhancement, retaining her mentality as that of a soldier living in a hellish siege. The Siege of Santiego was described as akin to Judgment Day itself, with only a miracle being able to save them. Inés takes great pride in the fact that she delivered one to end the siege.
Due to her asocial nature and madness-warped perception, Inés does not truly see other Servants as Heroic Spirits, understanding them as either faceless, heathens or imagining them to be fellow Spaniards living in the same conditions as she is. As such, despite being a Berserker, she has some understanding of the difference between friends and foes. Were she to meet some of the people that she knew in life, however, it is possible that she might attain more lucidity.
Inés’ Mad Enhancement paints her Master as Pedro de Valdivia, her lord in life. She acts steadfastly in their service, though the Master’s words are often changed by her warped mentality. She is, to some extent at least, aware of there being a difference to the man she knew in life and her current Master, but she cannot truly notice such things while her Mad Enhancement remains in its current state.
Inés fondly wishes that she could remain among the fighting men that she spent the golden years of her life with. Being focused on duty and survival, she regards being party to a military campaign as her personal paradise.

    Lore
Inés de Suárez was born in Plasencia in 1507, Spain. Before she was born, a terrible illness related to the stomach, which at that time had no cure, affected her mother, so she had to rely on his grandfather to raise Ines. Her grandfather was a craftsman cabinetmaker, belonging to the brotherhood of Veracruz. Her mother, who taught him the trade of seamstress, belonged to the common people. Se had a sister named Asunción, who was her only friend as Inés was not sociable and did not understand other people well. In 1526, at the age of 19, she met her first husband, Juan de Málaga. They married years later, thanks to the influence of her grandfather. No children were born of this marriage, because Inés was sterile.
Between 1527 and 1528, Juan sailed for Panama and Inés remained in Spain waiting for him. The years passed and he only received news from him from Venezuela. In 1537, she obtained the king's license and sailed to the Indies in search of her husband. In 1537, when she was just under 30 years of age, she arrived in America in search of her husband, of whom she only had information on the occasion of her death at the Battle of Las Salinas. As compensation for being the widow of a Spanish soldier, she later received a small plot of land in Cuzco, where she settled, as well as an indigenous encomienda.
In Cuzco she met Pedro de Valdivia, field master of Francisco Pizarro and later conqueror of Chile, recently returned after the Battle of Las Salinas and whose encomienda was adjacent to hers. There are those who speculate that between them a close relationship would have been forged that would eventually have made them lovers. At the end of 1539, she decided to march with Pedro de Valdivia on his expedition to the lands of Chile. During the trip, Inés provided diverse services to the expedition, tending to wounds and disease and locating food and water for the men. After eleven months of travel, the expedition arrived to the Mapocho river valley, where they founded the capital of the territory with the name of Santiago de Nueva Extremadura. This valley was extensive, fertile and with abundant drinking water; But before the hostility of the natives, the base of the city was established between two hills that facilitated defensive positions, counting on the Mapocho River as a natural barrier.
Shortly after establishing a settlement in the place, Valdivia sent an embassy with gifts to the local caciques in order to demonstrate their desire for peace. These, although they accepted the presents, launched an attack against the Spaniards, with the cacique Michimalonco as leader. According to Spanish historiography, already on the verge of defeating the Spaniards, the Indians suddenly abandoned their weapons and fled in a stampede, managing to capture some of them. Later the captives would declare to have seen "a man mounted on a white horse that, wielding a sword, came down from the clouds and pounced on them", being this mysterious apparition the one that caused his escape. The Spaniards considered that the miraculous apparition was none other than Santiago, so, as a sign of gratitude, they gave the name of Santiago de la Nueva Extremadura to the newly founded city on February 12, 1541. On September 9, 1541, Valdivia, forty horsemen and auxiliary Inca troops left the city to quell a rebellion of the Indians near Cachapoal. Just arrived the next morning, a young Yanacona returned with the news that the peripheral forests of the settlement were full of hostile Indians. When asking Inés if she considered that seven caciques who were prisoners had to be released as a sign of peace, she considered it a bad idea, since, in case of attack, the imprisoned leaders would be their only chance to reach a truce. Captain Alonso de Monroy, whom Valdivia had left in command of the city, considered Suárez's guess right and decided to call a council of war. Before the dawn of September 11, Spanish horsemen left the city to confront the Indians, whose number was initially estimated at 8,000 men, and subsequently 20,000. Despite having the Spanish with cavalry and better weapons, the Indians were a superior force, and at nightfall they managed to make the rival army retreat across the river to the east to take refuge again in the square. Meanwhile, the Indians, throwing incendiary arrows, managed to set fire to much of the city, killing four Spaniards and several animals. So desperate was the situation that the local priest, Rodrigo González Marmolejo, affirmed that the battle was like the Day of Judgment and that only a miracle could save them.
During the attack, the work of Inés had consisted in treating wounded and sick, healing their wounds and alleviating their despair with words of encouragement, in addition to bringing water and food to the fighters and even helping to ride a horse for a rider whose serious injuries prevented him from doing it alone. Seeing in the death of the seven caciques the only hope of salvation for the Spaniards, Inés proposed decapitating them and throwing their heads among the Indians to cause panic among them. Many men considered defeat inevitable and opposed the plan, arguing that keeping indigenous leaders alive was their only asset for survival, but Inés insisted on continuing with the plan; She went to the house in which the leaders were, and who were guarded by Francisco Rubio and Hernando de la Torre, giving them the order of execution. When de la Torre asked how they should kill the prisoners, Inés answered "In this way", taking the sword of the guard and taking the sword to first, Quilicanta, and then to all the caciques taken hostage, then throwing their heads among the attackers. She then went out to the square and set herself before the soldiers, inflaming their spirits with words of such exalted praises that they treated her as if she were a brave captain, and not a woman disguised as a soldier with an iron coat. Once the courage of the Spaniards was revived, they took advantage of the disorder and confusion caused among the natives when they met the decapitated heads of their caciques, managing to put the attackers to flight. The action of Inés in this battle would be recognized three years later by Valdivia, who rewarded her by granting her a decoration.
Suárez continued to live openly with Pedro de Valdivia, until the time of his trial in Lima. One of the charges levelled against him was that he, being married, openly lived with her ‘in the manner of man and wife’. In exchange for being freed, and his confirmation as Royal Governor, he was forced to relinquish her and to bring to Chile his wife, Marina Ortíz de Gaete, who only arrived after Valdivia's death in 1554. He was also ordered to marry Suárez off. Suárez was married in 1549 to Valdivia's captain, Rodrigo de Quiroga, when she was 42 and the groom was 38. After her marriage, she led a very quiet life, dedicated to her home and to charity. She was held in great esteem in Chile, as being a valiant woman and a great captain. Eventually, after the death of Valdivia, her husband twice became Royal Governor himself, in 1565 and 1575. They both died in Santiago de Chile, within months of each other, in 1580.

    Notes
The Santiago Saint thingy isn’t the most concrete thing in the world, but just having her throw heads at people would’ve been boring.

Could be just me, but most Spanish Servant candidates seem to fall into one or more of the following categories: done to death, (boring) writers or artists and the incredibly evil. Might explain something about why it’s taken me so long to make one of these.

Once again, comments would be appreciated.

Just now I thought of two more Servant ideas that anyone could take if they wanted:

Ou Yezi, Gan Jiang's teacher who made at least 8 named legendary swords, including three for Goujian of Yue.

King of Wu Helu, a sword collector who was served by Sun Tzu and had 3000 swords buried in a pond right next to his tomb. Incidently, that pond is located at Tiger Hill, Suzhou but the problem is that people can't dig there to try to find the tomb or the swords because the foundations for the Leaning Pagoda (also located there) rest on the site.

Hm... Well, I made a Masamune sheet, so I have some experience with creating swordsmith Servants. The problem is the a) I'll need to figure out how to differentiate Ou Yezi from my Masamune sheet, and b) the information on this guy seems sparse.

Inés de Suárez: Being from Plasencia itself, it's mandatory that I comment on her.

First of all, agree with you that doing a Spanish Servant is awfully hard even if you pick the most known figures (excluding the classic El Cid and Don Quijote). We don't have cool swords, there are barely any interesting legends, and most historical figures are rather boring.

Becuase of this extra difficulty, I must praise you for having executed this sheet so well. You've done a great job at describing her personality and how Mad Enhancement affects her character. I also love the visual aspect of her two Noble Phantasms, and how unique her recreation of a miracle is.

Well, the sheet was made as bait for you to comment to, so glad that that worked at least.

And yeah, most of Spain's famous people seem to be a bit depressingly grounded (so little in the way of magic swords and spooky powers) or from the Age of Exploration (which makes most of them greedy, evil jackasses). This is in no way helped, one supposes, by Spain's turbulent history with England, landing them the part of the villain in most fiction dealing with the English-speaking world's history.

The conflict with Britain has something to do (my father once told me that the British once made a coin to commemorate a victory against Spain before the battle, which they lost), but it's strange how with all the cultures that have been here (and their subsequent conflicts), the folklore and number of heroes is so sparse.

W-well, someone did ask where I was on this, so...

Some follow-up commentary when I'm not at work, but that's more or less that.

    The Truth of the Moon
    Class: MoonSickness
    True Name: Kaguyahime
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral

    Strength:
    Endurance:
    Agility:
    Mana:
    Luck:
    Noble Phantasm:

    Lore:

    [Updating.]

    Class: Foreigner
    True Name: Kaguyahime
    Alignment: Neutral Mad

    Parameters:
    Strength:
    Endurance:
    Agility:
    Mana:
    Luck:
    Noble Phantasm:

    Background:

That summer, whenever she looked at the full moon from her room, Kaguyahime couldn’t help but cry. Her eyes welled with tears, sobbing quietly, beautifully, and her adopted parents understood nothing.

They worried about her as her behavior grew more erratic and unstable, rarely emerging from bed and even more rarely truly there when she did wake. They wondered if it was grief due to the passing of her last suitor - the Impossible Requests she had given each of the nobles who came seeking her hand in marriage had finally claimed a life, the prince having drowned at sea while questing for a swallow’s cowrie shell. They had wanted their daughter to stay with them, of course, but no one had wished for it to end in death.

For a month this went by, until at last, Kaguyahime explained - she was a child of the moon and her people were coming back for her, to kidnap her and take her from the human world she had grown to love. Her parents finally understood her grief and fear.

    This was a lie.
    They were wrong.

    Personality:
A mischievous, gentle alien intelligence, Kaguyahime is playful and difficult to read. From the start, she was never truly human, closer to an elemental or an experiment of the True Ancestors than she was to the elderly humans who raised her. For them, she was well-behaved, kind and thoughtful. They raised her well, with noble manners and a kind nature - and for that reason she looked away from the urges that grew, day by day, second by second. An inexpressive child who did exactly as her parents wished of her and tried her best to deter the advances of the princes who came calling for her.

Because if it were not her parents, if she had no reason to hold back, she wouldn’t be able to do so. Her impossible requests were not to protect her chastity, but their lives, and when the fifth prince lost his life, Kaguyahime’s only emotion as a human was regret how much she wished to have consumed him to the very last drop. Her hunger only grew until she yearned for, prayed for deliverance from the Moon - and it was a Moon that certainly answered her prayers.

She is gentle - she wishes to consume her prey without exertion.
She is playful - she wishes to enjoy her mealtime.
She is kind - she won’t make them feel it for long.
What Kaguyahime is not, fundamentally, is human.

Unrestrained since her union with an eldritch being, the only ones holding her back long since gone from this world, Kaguyahime is malicious and sarcastic, identifying faults in those lovely, delightful humans and heroes who surround her like so much livestock. To better show her love - to drink her fill at long last - she can scarcely wait for her plan to come to completion, propagating herself throughout the SE.RA.PH and entertaining herself in the interim.

    Class Abilities:
    Existence Outside the Domain
    Rank: EX
A skill representing those existences born outside the world, a being outside of reality and the known universe. In particular, Kaguyahime’s existence has harmonized with Mormo, the Thousand-Faced Moon, an Outer God closely related with vampires and believed to be an avatar of Selene and Hecate, Greek goddesses of the moon and of crossroads.

Information about Mormo in Classical antiquity has been largely lost, with mere traces of what seemed to be a mystery cult that revered it in Greece, and fragmentary evidence suggests its name was once invoked as a bogeyman to frighten children, one who would feast on them should they be transgress against authority.

Enemy of Bast, the Thousand-Faced Moon was said to delight in sacrifice, eternally seeking more in a drive that it is not so much a physical need as a compulsion, much like the vampires linked withit. While not the only Outer God to take advantage of human frailty, it is the only one accurately categorized as an actual bloodsucker.

    Divinity
    Rank: A+
The measure of whether one has Divine Spirit aptitude or not. At high levels, one is treated as a mixed race of a Divine Spirit, and the level declines when the Heroic Spirit's own rank as a Monster or Demonic Beast raises. It also has an effect which reduces special defensive values called 'purge defense' in proportion to the Divinity's Rank. It can break through Skills such as Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig.

In the case of Kaguyahime, this skill is bolstered from Mormo’s association with Hecate and Selene, but she herself was already a celestial child of the moon, further increasing the rank of this skill to its highest point.

    Insanity
    Rank: B
A Mental Pollution-like skill gained from contacting an evil god that can easily erode the fragile common sense and morals of humans. However, the main qualification for the Foreigner class is to defy this erosion, either by maintaining their integrity as they
descend into madness, or instead of being consumed by madness, they consume the madness itself. In this case, Kaguyahime did not fully maintain her integrity nor was she consumed by madness - but rather, her tastes and desires were aligned with that of the eldritch being from the start, such that she slipped halfway towards insanity while maintaining her own existence.

    Personal Skills:
    Scala Natura
    Rank: EX
The true form of the mispurposed authority previously disguised as the Man'yōshū.

The Scala Natura, or Great Chain of Being, was envisioned in classical times as a hierarchical structure used to organize all living things in the world - not merely all organic life, but all things imbued with life or character of some sort. Originally proposed by Artistotle and encompassing strictly non-spiritual life, over time the chain would be expanded, and in medieval Europe, it would grow to encompass the other side of the world, beginning from the divine and following the chain downwards through spiritual beings, humans, animals, plants, stone, and mineral, tracing the emanations of a perfect being at the highest point of the chain down to the least of all things.

As a framework with its own tiers of authority, the Moon Cell similarly functions as a system with clearly delineated authorities and permissions - as long as something is subject to that framework in the first place.

Conjoined with a being that exists largely outside of the great chain, Kaguyahime is an anomaly in the Moon Cell’s hierarchy of authority, occupying a position outside the system that is equally near and distant from humanity as it is from gods. As such, she has the advantage of being able to manipulate all links in the chain with equal authority and ease, able to consume humans, heroic spirits, and even divine spirits.

It is this position as an outsider that led to her temporary designation as a MoonSickness - an infection from without, infecting the legends of others in order to spread through the cultural spheres recorded in the Moon Cell. Upon recognition of her legend at last, the Moon Cell finally designated her with an Extra class even as it was co-opted by her.

    Celestial Robe
    Rank: EX
Celestial beings believed to have been inspired by Chinese Buddhism and sutras, tennin were described as unearthly beautiful humanoid figures, often dancers and musicians in service to bodhisattvas, dressed in ornate five-colored kimonos and flowing scarfs. Thought to be companions to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, some legends tell how the tennin were only able to fly to the mortal world with feathered kimono, or hagoromo. Symbols of enlightenment akin to angels or great sages, the feathered garment of a tennin can be said to be itself a key to the heavens.

In the legend of Kaguyahime, it was the celestial robe from the Lunar kingdom that deprived her of her attachment to the mortal world and returned her to heaven. It seems to have no such effect on the Kaguyahime of the present, but it nevertheless symbolizes the bounty of heaven, a relic every bit the equal of a Golden Grail.

    Enchant
    Rank: EX
Ordinarily, the skill to endow concepts to items. As a being who does not properly belong in either the Throne of Heroes or the Moon Cell, in order to expand her own entryway into the SE.RA.PH, Kaguyahime has begun manipulating the records of others, discreetly injecting trace elements of data to begin converting their legends into aspects of her own. In doing so, she may add powerful functions to other Heroic Spirits based on the Impossible Requests she asked of her suitors, converting them to Alter Egos in the process.

By allowing her Alter Egos to be defeated in the replica SE.RA.PH and the data logs from their manifestation incorporated back into the Moon Cell’s own records, Kaguyahime gradually reinforced her existence as “something that existed in the history recorded by the Moon Cell.” Infecting the legends of China and Japan, Central America, Europe, India, and the unknown, covering multiple periods of human civilization, her impossible requests finally bore fruit - diffusing a virus through enough of history to take root deep in the heart of the Moon Cell’s databases, sufficient to overwhelm even the myriad defenses of the Eye of God.

    Noble Phantasm:
Kegare Abscission - Thousandfold Refraction of Impurity
    Type: Anti-World
    Rank: --
A Noble Phantasm representing the hunger and dominion of an Outer God who feeds on the blood and bones of impure mortal existence, a bloodsucker who finds blissful pleasure in the consumption of flawed life. By identifying impurities in a being, Mormo may open a gate in space that connects the impurity to her true “body” elsewhere, a thousand-faced moon of rending teeth and jaws, gnashing and consuming the impurity, be it physical or spiritual.

Rather than sin, what qualifies a target as subject to Mormo’s power is impurity or amoral natural forces, similar to the Japanese concept of “kegare.” The intent or actions of the target is irrelevant - intentional and unintentional acts or events, if regarded as impure, are sufficient. The only way to avoid abscission is to be without impurity to begin with - a truly blessed, perfect being outside the scope of Mormo’s predation.

Ordinarily, this Noble Phantasm would be categorized as Anti-Unit, limiting Mormo to feed only upon sacrifices properly offered to her or those who were defiled in her presence. However, by connecting with the Moon Cell’s records and expanding her awareness to the entirety of observational space, Kaguyahime is able to identify any and all impurities and imperfections in the history of all recorded things, and through this process regard all existence as riddled with “impurities obtained in her presence.”

Armed with this knowledge, rather than a limited gateway rending a single life, Kaguyahime and Mormo may fully bring the concept of the Thousand-Faced Moon into being, connecting it to all things and thrusting then into a crucible of chaos, a world of unending hunger and consumption, the feast that Kaguyahime dreamed of in her final moments in this world.

Once this Noble Phantasm has been perfected with the Eye of God, there is no saving check, no luck roll, no armor class, and certainly no precondition. The impurities in all things have already been laid bare. Only an utterly inescapable end awaits.
