It was a physical place because Nitocris of Assyria buried the key with herself but Darius I found it and opened it which led to the distribution of Gil's treasures around the world. That's where the conceptual fuckery of Gil having the prototypes of weapons pre-Darius I comes from too.
As a servant it's a pocket dimension, who knows what's it like inside since the only person we know who has seen it is Shinji.

I'm not sure Karl is a fully reliable source on it either, but we'll probably never know for sure. It would surely be strange for such things to have completely disappeared in only 300 years after Camelot. Yeah, it was the last vestige of the Age of Gods, but stuff stuck around even afterwards.

They're definitely very loose on what is and isn't "fictional", yeah. Even back in Fate/Stay Night you had Kojirou as a fictional character in the stories of a real person (Musashi), but come FGO they've really gone ham on the whole "what is fictional, anyway" idea by including a bunch of literary characters like Dr. Jekyll, the Count of Monte Cristo, Holmes, etc.

And then you've got stuff like Napoleon, who is a very well-documented (and recent!) historical figure but his entire schtick is about how all the crazy legends about him makes him represent human imagination and the ability to do the impossible or something along those lines. He's pretty much the same as Charlemagne's case, except this time he actually is the combined version!

Wasn't Karl's desire to live as Charles the Great rooted in history without influences from stories of fantasy surrounding him, caused him to separate Charlie from himself?

I think if Napoleon also wish something like that, it is possible that he could also end up in Charlemagne's situation.

Napoleon's deal is that Archer represents those crazy idealizations of Napoleon while Rider represents reality. And of course, only Archer actually appears in the story because Rider is supposedly pretty much just him but less interesting.

Funnily enough, he's shorter as a Rider.

Has how Golden Rule works ever been elaborated on? Is the money generated out of nowhere, or do Servants with it just have good luck finding 50 bucks on the sidewalk, or what?

The latter. In strange fake you see it working for Gil in a casino.

IRL he was about 5'7", which is not really that tall or short, but IDK about Archer Napoleon's height.

What timeline is Mahoyo set in? I asked somewhere else and I got 2 different answers from the same post when I asked about this elsewhere.

    1. It's set in it's own unique universe.

    2. It's set in the universe of the Tsukihime remake.

Archer Napoleon is 189 cm, which is 6'2" for you backwards provincial types.

What are those glowing lines on Circe's wings?
    Are they magic circuits?
I can't find a source on what they are.

How did Avenger Amakusa travel through parallel worlds back in Shimousa? I read that he escaped his pruned timeline and was described as a Mobile Singularity, a dimensional traveler by Holmes, like Musashi. I read that human Musashi was able of travel parallel worlds due to her possessing Lady Kannon's Holy Grail, but I haven't found explanations for Amakusa's case yet.

Pretty sure Limbo, as agent of alien god who was searching for LB candidates during Shimousa, got that covered.
